Title: Amazon gift cards for Bitcoin
Post by: Vantix on May 14, 2017, 03:42:12 PM
I see people claim that they sell Amazon gift cards for 40-70% off
and they sell a lot (atleast they say so)
is that really possible or scam ? do you know any legit service who offer this ?

Chances are that many of these offers are "legit" in that the sellers do actually give you the gift cards.  How they obtained the gift cards, though, is much more questionable.

Gift cards can also be charged back through their credit card purchase.  Be careful.

if you buy from recommended sellers on localbitcoin, then i am sure that gift cards is legit, but if you buy from person that you don't know and don't have reputation in any website, then you can get scam. so first, make sure that you only buy from legit sellers, make sure that the gift cards is real so you can used it.

if you want to buy gift cards then try finding a legit registered service. something like Gyft i think is what you want.
when you buy from individuals the chances that they have bought the gift card with stolen credit cards are very high. and you might get into trouble if you use these cards.

I believe this topic belongs to this Board Marketplace (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=5.0), and especially here Digital goods (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=93.0)

I agree with the suggestion above, you should go with the Digital goods section, there are plenty of sellers. You should know though, that some sellers sell carded gift card (bought using a stolen credit card) so It may put your account at risk. Simply don't buy unless the offer seems legit. (Usually, no one goes under 70% rates (65% If you are lucky) ).

You could get the payment in localbitcoins for PayPal or Amazon gc or payzza and etc.. I hope that this thread is good to check with the digital goods section, if you are looking for local traders in the forum.
Be use escrow in all your trades to be safe and avoid scamming.

The rates are like 1:1 for gyft, using services (companies) is never profitable, trading with individuals in the other hand, can be very profitable as I mentioned the rates above.

How can it be possible that official Amazon gift cards been proposed by the third party persons? Any case 40-70% off looked like scam.

If you try to purchase Bitcoins or Amazon Gift Cards online then you should also read up on the reviews of the seller before making a purchase because most of the people within this forum like to scam people for their Bitcoins.
30% off is usually the lowest that people try to sell their Gift Cards for, I would be pretty skeptical of sales that claim to have something less than that value. Asking for a vouch copy is also a smart idea if you plan on purchasing from the seller.

If the credit card has been reported as stolen and they were contacted then yes, Its very likely that the account will get blocked and the order will be canceled. If the order already arrived, there isn't much they could do at this point. Why would you take any risk anyway? just make sure you are trading with someone trusted.

Indeed it is but there is also some scary scammers too in LBC :) ; Cards Paid with cash good only also you have to make sure that card is not depended by the store for activation . Some store need to be called in order to activate the gift card even if it still bought with cash .

Check Purse.io

You can also buy Amazon physical gift card with some discount in Purse but you must need to have VIP Purse account , otherwise you will not able to request for Gift card trade there .
