Title: Another stuck bitcoin post. A month on, any idea's on this beauty?

Anyone know what I can do with this transaction?  It has been pending now for over a month (I think, been a good few weeks anyway).

I unknowingly sent it from an older version of Electrum and it would appear that the dynamic fees were set too low.

I have tried viaBTC.com 's accelerator.  On two separate occasions it has said that the acceleration was successful (last week) but the coins still remain pending.

I have zero balance remaining from the transaction in the wallet, nore can I ask the recipient to do a CPFP.

I have also had the wallet off line now for approx 72 hours.

Anyone any idea's how I can unstick / cancel this transaction  - at the end of the day it's only about £70 so not the end of the world if I lose it.  However, I'm getting sick of looking at it now. Plus 70 quid is 70 quid.

Cheers

Ste...

Fake transaction for sure. I can not even find it on the blockchain.info. Maybe someone tricck you with this fake transaction. I believe that you have lost your money. Do not be sad bro. And you need to know that if the transaction can not be confirmed in 7 days, bitcoin will return to your wallet

Are you sure the transaction when through? where did you get the "6c150312979e35e2a9cae90b0017cb50336ae9ef7f7b7ed796bc4cfb0e245b2f" from? this transaction id isn't even on the blockchain, so I don't get where you got that hash from.

I think you did something wrong because the tx id should show up on the blockchain even if the transaction was unconfirmed for ages.

I just saw that you posted this. Yes, it's obvious, the tx doesn't even exist.

You should go to electrum and take a picture of the transaction list and post it here.

Thanks for the replys.

The transaction was on blockchain for a while, however, after a couple of weeks it said it had been pruned from their database.  Not checked it recently.

If you have a look using

https://blockexplorer.com/

It comes up on there.

you say your using an old electrum..

best thing to do back up your privkey/seeds/wallet in triplicate and in different forms incase one corrupts/doesnt backup correctly.

uninstall the old electrum and use a different version/brand.
then the new wallet import the privkey/seed and you will see your funds unspend.

and because its a new version/brand it wont be locally 'stuck' in your mempool because that disappeared when to uninstalled/use different version/brand

electrum is an SPV wallet so there is no "mempool" for it, the wallet connects to a server (an electrum node) and receives the transactions  and if in fact OP is successfully connecting, syncing and still seeing the transaction in his wallet means the node he is connecting to has the transaction and upgrading (although is recommended) won't solve this.

here is the tx by the way: https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/6c150312979e35e2a9cae90b0017cb50336ae9ef7f7b7ed796bc4cfb0e245b2f

I do not see anything here. I think that you have given us the wrong link. Please fix it right now or people can not help you to solve this problem. About the delay transaction, I think that the only way you can do right now is to wait

Try btc.com(https://pushtx.btc.com/) accelerator, it will cost you $4 (you'll have to via alipay) or just wait for the transaction to drop then send it with appropriate fees.

Tried the btc.com also.  Couldn't get the alipay setup.

That was a nightmare.  I'd pay £70 not to have to deal with that crap again.  Half in Chinese and wouldn't accept any of my cards.

Looks like I'm just going to have to call these coins lost, unless they drop and land back in my wallet but if that was going to happen I'd have expected it to already.

I've already upgraded the wallet to the latest build, but that isn't helping me now.

Thanks for the help guys.

The reason why they're not coming back to your wallet is that something keeps rebroadcasting your transaction...

First seen: Wednesday, May 3rd 2017, 5:40:44 +12:00
Relay time: Thursday, May 18th 2017, 8:58:00 +12:00

So either your wallet is rebroadcasting... or someone is trolling you :P

Surprised that the ViaBTC thing didn't work... I've had pretty decent luck with it... if the "free" one isn't working... they now offer a 0.01 BTC paid "donation" service... you need to email support@viatbtc.com

I tried to get a quote from the btc.com push service... and it said that it was a "double spend" transaction? I'm wondering if that is why ViaBTC didn't work? ???

EDIT: Got your transaction accelerated using the ViaBTC accelerator... maybe third time's a charm? :P #fingersCrossed

EDIT2: And now you have 41 confirmations thanks to ViaBTC... #youAreWelcome  ;) ;D

This is why you run Bitcoin Core. Validate your own transactions, everything else is a half assed attempt at cryptocurrency. If you don't run your own full node you are wasting your time. Wallets that aren't Bitcoin Core are trash, period.

www.bitcoin.org

download the wallet and forget about all possible problems by having the entire blockchain on your computer and fully validating transactions.

you should upgrade to the latest electrum version to prevent this sort of thing happening again. there have been many bug fixes related to transaction fees.
