Just a pump or anyone know a reason why this coin is suddenly being traded in such a high volume?

Seem like Bytecoin and Digibtyte, an old coin that has had a loyal development team.   Not posting in BTCtalk doesn't mean a coin is dead.   Reddcoin has its own forum.

It's one person, I can almost guarantee that.   Some chappie with more money than brains who's trying to vacuum in the suckers.  That coin is and always has been total wastage, and I wouldn't try to make money off of this.  They have just shocked the cadaver and it twitched.

100% down for this , getting 150,000 RDD as we speak. The trend on the stock chart is looks unstable with vast unpredictable spikes. But from if you observe from longer time-frame it potential looks like it will exponentially increase. Has correlation to that of a saw tooth wave at times.

but Reddcoin actually has some cool ideas if you watch the videos posted on their website.

Hello, there are several reasons why Reddcoin might be a good investment. I purchased 10m shares of Reddcoin around 5 satoshis for the following reasons.

1. There was a price dislocation when RDD was delisted from the Poloniex exchange so the price may have been artificially cheap de to lack of exchange support.

2. The crypto currency brands itself as the "the social currency" and intends to be used for tipping in social networks. This has value in my humble estimation and in the corporate world companies like Coke and P&G spend billions building a brand.

3. Transaction value is increasing.  As of todays date on May 18, 2017, Reddcoin has higher hourly transaction volumes than currencies with much higher market caps than Namecoin, Peercoin and Vertcoin which suggests it might be undervalued. 4. With BTC around 1880 crypto investors are looking for value and the current 7M market cap of Reddcoin looks positively cheap compared to the two currencies for a small growth allocation. Reddcoin itself remains cheap on a price basis and will make a nice gift for nieces/nephews and the like not to mention this a low cost call option. 

 

I've been holding Reddcoin for a long time now and was waiting for the price to start going up again. If it hits 30 sats then I'll be selling 50% of my 10 million Reddcoins and keeping the rest for the future if the price rises even further, time will tell.

No, he's so right.  If you hold this stinker you're going to lose whatever you put into it.  There's no purpose behind it, and no innovation.  It is a 'social media tipping coin', but that shit isn't going to take off because there are other coins that can do the same thing and people just don't do it.  Do you tip anyone for their clever posts?  Nah, didn't think so.  It's P&D all the way.  If you think otherwise you're just asking to get burned, as allthebitandbobs said.  He is definitely correct.

The question is we know that it's pumping and going to dump but how high is it going to go? I sold 50% of my bag which I've been holding for a long time now at 30 sats. I kept the rest in case it continues to keep going up and it is, almost at 50 sats now. If by some chance it hits 100 sats I'll be dumping the other 50% I currently hold for sure.

Considering RDD is 10x smaller than DOGE, I think there is still some space for growth. It can hit 100 sats easily.

This coin will be more alive in the future than it has ever been! Believe me, guys... Hold your RDD!

I think it is big mistake that official thread on bitcointalk was closed. Not everyone want to join their forum. The official thread here should be reopen also. Anyone think same like me? And yes value of this coin is too small for now. Others similar coins are much much more expensive. Second thing is it joined bittrex and get hundreds or thousands new investors right?

Yes, I agree, but there is too much abusive FUD here for some people, not everyone puts those people on ignore, and it disturbs the flow of the motivation in the thread.  Still,  a lot of coins, like eBoost, didn't have an official thread, and people might have bought it not realizing much about it, read the bad reports, and sold early (it just pumped).  A moderated thread would have prevented that and would be good cause you could delete the abuse that goes on.  But some of the "FUD" is actually due diligence sometimes because some devs are scammers. 

The market is crazy today but holding on.  It's nice to have some "bags" of coins for the next time around.

I agree, RDD is still cheap so it wont cost us too much if we want to buy a small amount just for holding purpose.  Any coins that is 2 digit and have huge volume can possibly increase in price dramatically.  So rather than wasting time spreading negative thought here, it would be better to just allocate a million satoshi and buy RDD, this way if it pumped to 10x or 100x you will get at least that multiplier amount of profit.

Reddcoin started out gaining traction shortly after the success of dogecoin. The team vmbehind it has been short of active but due to it's small daily trading volumes it is easy to see the price pumped.

I invested huge in this the day it came out. It did this exact same thing last time bitcoin had this bubble. It will fall back to 6 once this all settles.

We tried so hard to be picked up and used a currency by reddit admins. They wanted nothing of it.  Now I think people just use it to get BTCs  due to its low Sat value.
Unless their proof of stake is better than somoeone elses for some reason.

I shouldnt have sold my 30 mill at 6 sat. Id have a decent chunk of change now.

Correct, nor any other social media networks that I was able to find when I tried to fact check a friend claiming they had all these new social network affiliations.
It was priced extremely low just a few weeks back around 12 sats. I believe this was the large driving force for the pump and dump. But hey, hype goes a long way in this community and it could still go higher. If you are looking for long term investments over just day trading then you might look at other projects.

ReddID is a good concept, but unless it got a direct affiliation with a major website, it won't be of much use.

Most likely this is a small PUMP, which was made in order to draw attention to the token. Reddcoin - this is a long forgotten coin, which is unlikely to be poured in big money.
