Title: To all the trolls and morons who claimed blocks weren't full...
Post by: jonald_fyookball on May 18, 2017, 03:37:41 AM
Gavin said we're out of time in 2015.
Sensible people kept screaming about in 2016.

We were questioned, trolled, attacked, despite clear evidence and data.

Are you still going to claim its a temporary spam attack?

Do you any of you have the cahones to say "you know what Jonald, you guys were right."

Does anyone still supporting the core team have the integrity to even admit that blocks are full?

Or you all still just a bunch of fuckwit nincompoops and shills?

yeah, i fully agree. there is no spam attack. all these transactions are being done by legit users who want to send bitcoin from themselves to themselves every 3 seconds. either using 1 key or multiple ones.

so blocks aren't full?  this is temporary?  high fees and slow confirmations will go away in a few days?

I'm so sure.

Do you have the "cahones", or IQ even, to admit or understand that there is a solution to exactly what you are bitching about known as Segwit, but at the same time you are actively working to block the solution to the exact problem you are bitching about. You act like an absolutely insane person would.

I'm so sure.

no, i am not saying that.

blocks are full, this is not temporary, fees are rising at an alarming rate, confirmations take too long if you are a newcomer and don't know what's what. there is a lot of adoption and it means a lot more transactions are being made

but none of that means there isn't also any spam attack. you can't possibly say we suddenly got a massive adoption of users "spending their bitcoin" leading to 200,000 transactions in the mempool and then it plateaued.

ok, cool.

But the thing is, a lot of people say "oh its just spam" as if that was the primary or sole cause of the capacity exhaustion.

Eliminate all spam attacks and the problem with full blocks would have been a non-issue. We are not blind, and we acknowledge that full blocks would most definitely become a bigger problem if no scaling is done, but BTC Core is not sitting back and allowing this to happen. < they actually proposed a solution that has to follow the consensus process to be activated >

The BU guys ignore this and say BTC Core developers are holding out on purpose to pave the way for the LN. This is flawed, because SegWit already adress some of the scaling issues with bigger Block sizes. ^hmmmmm^

It maybe just a spam attack or it was capacity exhaustion but the problem is still the same. The problem is that the blockchain is overloading with transactions and the miners cannot cope up with the huge traffic. This is possibly the worst event in the bitcoin history and we will expect that we will no longer be counting hours before confirmation but days or weeks.
