Title: Question about block chains and wallet.dat Post by: Globz on June 19, 2011, 03:03:52 AM Is it safe to restore a wallet.dat into a fully loaded block chains by using -rescan option
Lets say I have two wallet, one for my savings and the other for day to day transactions. I only used my savings wallet once for the creation, then I made a backup of it. Now couple weeks or months later I want to restore it and buy some stuff. Can I just place it in %appdata% where the block chains is already downloaded? Just make sure not to overwrite the other wallet and lose it! Lets say I have two wallet, one for my savings and the other for day to day transactions. Don't worry I won't overwrite it! I am currently building a LiveCD for secure Transactions. Should be release soon. |
