Title: Help! Am I still in a trade? Post by: Jetheat on May 19, 2017, 11:37:18 PM I'm quite new to trading and I'm testing things out.
I am using the Coinigy platform to place my trades on Poloniex. The problem is, after I enter a trade, I can't tell if I am still in a trade or if I have exited that trade. I don't know how I can tell, except I see more buy orders that sell orders. Does that mean I am still in a trade or even multiple trades? I don't see any other indication. How can I tell if I am still in a trade? Even the BTC balance to sell shows (0.00) which indicates to me that I have nothing to sell and therefore confuses me even more. If I was in a trade, then there would be a balance there which I can click on exit the trade for that amount. Can someone explain this to me by looking at the screenshot of my trades? Appreciate the help, JH http://www.webkept.com/images/intrade.png Title: Re: Help! Am I still in a trade? Post by: Pursuer on May 20, 2017, 03:13:35 AM this tab you are on seems to be showing the "history" of your orders, in which case they must be completed orders, but I admit it is a bit strange that it is saying "executed" instead of "complete" try refreshing the page and see if your balance shows up. also to check to see if an order is still open or filled/closed check the other tab called "open orders" that should show the "trade or open order" if there is any and lets you cancel if you want. and when you are confused you can always go to your exchange account and check the history, balance, and open orders to see what that third party platform in the picture is showing to you. Here already many friends told about your problem accurately but here I will tell you that you should start to your trading job with yobit.net , this exchange is really cool and simple for the beginners when I started the Bitcoin trading then I started with this action because I don't understand the basic system in the trading and got confused in the Poloniex exchange .I am using the Coinigy platform to place my trades on Poloniex. And also here I would like to suggest you that if you have not much time for the trading then make trading with advanced order I mean to buy and sell at the coins advance order. Title: Re: Help! I think the balance showed up after some time. That was causing the confusion. But I still don't know if I am in a trade or not. I don't know how to tell. JH Title: Re: Help! Am I still in a trade? I don't know how to tell. JH it may be because poloniex has some problems lately since they can not handle the traffic of large number of traders with their small servers. so their API (which this site is using) will be slow and might have some delays. you should start to your trading job with yobit.net , this exchange is really cool and simple for the beginners when I started the Bitcoin trading then I started with this action because I don't understand the basic system in the trading and got confused in the Poloniex exchange . So it will be more better that start with simple and if you get much experienced then start with big exchange like poloniex and bitrex etc . this is a terrible advice. first of all Yobit is a shady business that may very well run away at any moment. secondly it is a terrible service, they lack support, they don't manage the platform well, it has a lot of bugs, the wallets are all dead apart from bitcoin and a couple of others. the orderbooks are so thin, the orders are fake, they fake pump the coins every hour and you can not do anything because the orders are fake or you will lose money, and a lot more. even as a beginner there is no different between choosing a trading platform. Post by: ImHash on May 21, 2017, 04:16:48 AM As so many friends suggested :D stop using polo and instead use cryptopia if not yobit, polo is in lag mode like yobit and cryptopia is always lag free.
If you can't tell whether you are still in a trade or not I wonder how the f*ck did you manage to access polo using that so called platform of yours which I have a feeling the whole purpose of creating this thread was to advertise? If you don't know such a simple thing like being in a trade or not then trading is not for you and you should first educate yourself then try big as polo. Title: Re: Help! Am I still in a trade? Post by: gabbie2010 on May 21, 2017, 11:01:09 AM I guess you have not known the nitty-grittyof those platforms before jumping in to trade. Trading is not for novice but well trained and seasoned trader. You should take your time to learn how to trade and how to use those platforms, yobits and other platforms are user friendly try and see there are means to demo-trade then you are good to go.
