Title: poloniex.com are scamming and stealing coins! Beware!
Post by: CryptoNoob1 on May 20, 2017, 08:50:54 AM
Please this is a message to all to be careful of Poloniex exchange!

They are no good!

I have used them for the past year in small amounts with no problems! Recently I decided they were safe enough and tried a large withdrawl and deposit! big mistake!

They have stolen my coins and blocked me from Trollbox as well as close every ticket I make without reason!

They are covering up all attempts I make to notify the community especially the troll box.

on the 16th April I had requested to withdrawl 26k LSK coins valued at the time at 13000 Dollars.

Polo had finally processed them on the 26th  (10 days later with a complete bogus tx Id that is no where on the blockchain)

All attempts to contact them failed and finally saw they even blocked me on the troll box so I cannot even warn others.

I have uploaded a screenshot with the withdrawl that says processed on 26 April (http://imgur.com/fQz8Cwm)

and here are the transaction details.

I would appreciate any help that can be provided where we can make a lawsuit and claim to get this money back as this was a large amount to be stolen and covered up!

I have some friends who they have also done this too we are just waiting to get all the evidence and then post it here!

Details of the fake transaction are here:

Transaction ID is 17670652977860304751 and the amount sent was 26065.36710375 LISK.  Coins supposed to go 3147357156577156587L.

Please I urge people to not use polo as I am sure they are doing this to many other people.

I have opened 5 tickets and all have been closed without reason or response! They are a scammy exchange

Thank you for your recommendation, Yes I have used bittrex in the past without problems. However really upset that they have stolen such a large amount of money from me, If the case was just waiting for a reply ok, but since they have blocked me everywhere this can only mean one thing. anyone have the company details so I can start some case against them?

There is no other way to contact support other than a ticket that they keep closing?

Hey thanks mate,

I have sent the Devs a message thanks fro the advice, Trying to get some contact from polo that I can mail directly and maybe he can explain why after 1 month all my tickets are closed and no one even responds to them, Its not normal.

As for established coin, I think if polo lists the coins they should be able to fully support it, if not then they should not have it listed on their exchange no?

I'm not sure why you have to be such a dick about it,

I requested to withdrawal 10btc worth of lisk , and 1 month later no coins, no reply from tickets and tickets keep getting closed.

Now you tell me you have seen this case 10000 times?
Show me 1 case where this has happened?

I have a delegate running on Lisk and I am part of the Elite group why would I spazz out on polo, I already own close to 150k coins and I have never had this problem,!

Polo are covering this up, closing tickets is a sure indicator

You did yourself no favors by saying you made 5 tickets and spammed the troll box i assume.

I can just picture you freaking out all over non stop..
Like all the others before you.

5 tickets ? you sure 10 wasn't better ?
Creating a scam topic in alt main maybe ? screaming scam ?

Clearly your behavior is childish half ass English spaz crap.
I see why they banned you etc.

And i don't like Polo and have ridden them hard non stop for ages too.
But your behavior would be a problem on any exchange.

So..
You need to fix your behavior and then and only then proceed to get the problem fixed Mr. Elite.

Max and Oliver do not control the polo wallets, not sure if you know how things work, but the devs do not have any control over the exchanges

i think you are too paranoid, they don't steal coins from you when they make millions in trading fee alone, would be very stupid for them to scam when they are running a big business like that, they have the biggest volume among all the exchange, i think you just did something wrong, just ask the support to solve your issue

Yes maybe you are right indeed,

I agree I am very upset but after 1 month trying to resolve I cannot understand how they keep closing my tickets without even writing me to say they will look into it, each ticket I created politly asking for help was closed without resolution or reason so 1 month later I dont know what else to do :-(

I would gladly accept ideas.

But I cannot just leave it with all my tickets closed or it will never get resolved

If you strongly believe that you are on the right side then you can anytime post scam accusations to them  until the issue would be resolve amd you are really free on creating such one and as others said here that poloniex wont really ruin their reputation just for only a thousand dollars since they can able to profit huge amounts on fees alone. just keep sending support ticket.

I agree with this. Kill the goose that lays the golden egg? You must be kidding. What is happening is that the sudden surge of new users and constant DDOS attacks were taking its toll on the exchange.

It's not unheard of. You noobs don't know Okcoin and Bitfinex used to be consistently attacked and of course same problems that you are now experiencing.

Now Okcoin.com is quiet cuz everyone left.

100% agree with you, if they give me my coins I will happy appologize and take the post down, however the facts are as follows,

coins are valued at 20000USD
They have closed all my tickets
They have banned me from the trollbox
They have the withdrawl as completed in my account with TX ID that is not available on the blockchain.
First ticket was created on 16th April 2017 (more than a month ago)
Not 1 response to any tickets, just closing.

I think I have waited a fair amount of time before making this post, what is an expected time to wait before making a post and complaining ?
I think 1 month is more than sufficient .

The fact that no one responds even after 1 month.

They have done the same thing to Bailo1, I will ask him to post the details here as well for proof that this has happened to more than just me

I never thought polo was a scam, because since yesterday I played there and made a deposit so that the amount is big enough no problem with the withdrawal. So I think your conversation is not enough to prove that the polo is a scamer.

This is no the right section to post this  it should be in the scam section and create the right format I never trade in Poloniex even if members claims they have a very good reputation in the community but they are a big exchange, why would they risk their reputation for such a small amount.

20000USd is definitely no small amount, some people dont even get that salary in a year!

maybe for you its a small amount but for me no, It took me a very long time to get that money!

Why else would they close tickets and not even reply even after 1 month? and they have done it not just to me, read the comments there is another user they did this too

I *could help you but i don't like your attitude.
I also couldn't care less what anyone thinks of my so called "Trust Rating"
Lemme just say the dope heads MAKING COINS here have been after me since day one.
And what you all see on my rating is the best they could come up with after 4 years.  :D

Some people are not too bright.
I am on "Social Assistance" How did he know that ? Does he work for the govt of Canada ?
Well.. i know actually.

3 years earlier on Cryptsy's NON-Logged chat box i made a comment saying i was not working and on disability for back problems.
That's it..
So apparently he (VOD) knew that.. even though he wasn't on Cryptsy chat then.
So i can safely assume someone whispered in his ear.......................a rumor.
he then took that rumor probably via PM here and then used that as a way to make up shit about "Welfare" and then proceeded to give me a negative rating.. the proof link was ?
Oh and is being on "Social Assistance" a crime here ?

The fact is I am not.
So he posted a lie trolling the trust rating system.. again.
Why would he do that ?
Because he's a cocky mouthy little arrogant asshole.
It was retaliation for a comment i made towards him BEFORE about his province in Canada.
I said people from where he is (Alberta) were trailer trash and when we (people in BC) see their license plates in town we laugh at them.

He went ape shit and spent 2 months trolling the living shit out of me and negging my ass etc.
It was a joke.. aimed at a grown man i thought could handle it.

And when he started trolling me for 2 months i said you wanna harras me ? Then lets get into it shall we ?
I said i Google'd your name and what do i see ?
A an online report where he was accused of being a pedophile..
So surprise surprise.. guess what ?

Yup once again afterwards.. after i brought up the issue he THEN accused me randomly of being a pedo.
In retaliation of mentioning his accusation FIRST !

It was the same type of childish crap with the other trust ratings pretty much too.

The difference is i can prove what i am saying in every single aspect if needed.
But i don't have to.. the onus is on the person leaving the negative rating (not the other way around)

If grown adult men want to act like children and troll the trust rating system then so be it.
I'll get over it  :D

Each and every opportunity i get to say my side of things is a chance to cast a spotlight on a few characters that are dirt bags and point out THEIR moronic bullshit.
I hope they do it more.. so i can showcase it more.  ;D

Childish brats galore.. the OP here.. the kids that negged me.. this scene is s shithole filled with snot nose lippy brats.
Let me know how that works out for ya LOL
I do believe the side effect of that would be ..having your tickets closed hahhahah
You see how that works yet ? catching on ?

..i doubt it.

probably best when exiting coins from Polo that are manually transacted to use another coin that is fully supported (i.e. without the need for human intervention inside Polo). So, as recommended earlier, exchange Lisk to Litecoin (or another fully supported and widely accepted coin) and then transfer the Litecoin out. probably a manual error problem that no one inside Polo is willing to hold their hand up to to having made. fraud? i don't know about that. where's the evidence?

Yesterday I could not remove the warrant. 15 minutes for nothing. Sometimes hangs the site.

Guys, what are your thoughts in general about poloniex?

massive growing pains. can't keep up with crypto bubble expansion. probably focused on gathering fees before fixing marginal issues.

Since polo had volumes of some hundred million $ for several btc/altcoin pairs im not trading large amounts on it anymore (if not really necessary).
Imho it is just too suspicious...

Agree with you. There are too many warning signs around Poloniex. I will not be surprised if they go bankrupt in the near future like Cryptsy.com

Sometimes the only way to get a response is go to social media like you are doing and shame therm into it. Send them a ticket with link to this thread. Good luck.

I have stayed away from poliniex for a long time ago since almost every withdrawal was pending and they simply do not like to support customers. Moreover, too many whales and bug and shady behaviors which I can not believe why a big exchange can do that to all of us. Currently, I am using bittrex and I feel very comfortable using this trading platform

Their exchange volume increase by a factor of 10+... either they are doing fractional reserve or they got a(some) new megawhale(s).

I didnt heard anything about new megawhales on polo so far...

Very good advice, I will use bittrex from now on. I started to see huge problems with polo ie, when I bought coins and a massive dump came, polo basically froze their system and no one could sell and I also lost because of the frozen system, happens everytime

yes nice advice but if there is some reality about that, because i personally nothing found wrong about them. but now the complaints against them are increasing, i think they need to clarify their position if they do not consider themselves as guilty, otherwise they are losing their position very rapidly.

After 1 month of complaining and yesterday writing one of the polo admins directly my means of Linkedin etc, they finally returned my coins after 1 month, I will close this post as promised! I would stilll advise all to stay away from polo unless you are prepared to wait more than a month to receive coins

The real reason people use Polo instead of Bittrex is margin trading. Bittrex doesn't do margin trading. Kraken does but for limited alts, and when the amount they have to lend is gone, you can't do any further margin trading. Bitfinex does offer margin trading, but they're having problems with their banks and you can withdraw or deposit fiat with them.

This is one of the most reason why do people do prefer to choose polo rather than others because of margin trading.I was amazed we do have the same observation because most likely some people do only believe that they use polo because its popular and do on the top. There are lots of issues which polo involved but later on they have been resolved but you will need to wait for a longer period of time.

Hi, I've had the same problem, they are holding 10,000,000 XDN coins of mine, the wallet has been showing temp disabled for months now. I've opened ticket and all have been closed, these coins are currently worth £28,759GBP or $21,914 USD, I messaged XDN about this matter and was told there are Millions of coins and hundreds of poloniex customers that are having the same problem as me, I still open support tickets but just not getting anywhere, I'm not going to give up, XDN advised me to keep opening tickets as some customers have reported that they opened a ticket every day, but had their coins back after 3 months,
