Hello,

I was wondering if it was worth it to buy bitcoins right now at the price of $2000,- /btc.
I can also wait till it drops to maybe 1800$-1900$, but would that make a huge difference?

I'm now just holding my coins, but im not making really good profits as I only have around 0.5BTC

It depends on how much you want to buy.

If we speek of 0.5 btc, 2000 or 1800 - there is not much difference.
But if you buy 10 btc - I would wait, I think the price will decrease by a correction to 1800

Bitfinex again trades with significant gap hence we can expect other exchanges to follow them. It means prices may reach $2100 or $2200 before finding any corrections and your waiting for $1900 may last infinitely. Buying now for smaller quantity and if you get chances buy again at $1900 is the way I will be handling current situation if I were you.

If you want to chance it, we could see a correction to $1500ish in the near future but this is Bitcoin, you never know. If you're going to hold long term, best to buy now or wait for a dip to buy. You can't have continuous rises without drops, when and how much are the questions.

Well, as far I can help, I would advise you to buy it for long. I have recently bought some Bitcoin for long-term, also investing a lot in Bitcoin CFDs and it's all the way up.

I'm waiting for $200 ever since I joined Bitcoin community yet haven't seen such a price, even though I know Bitcoin was meant to grow over time but these prices are too artificial in my book, they're not natural.
I'm going to wait for a drop back to sub $1500 but if that doesn't happen in one more month I'll start accumulating bits by bits like usual no matter the price.

Its been a long time when i was saw the price at $1,600 not active these few weeks ago due to busy at new business here in my country.
I was shock to see that the price was touch $2,000 value..
I think it is hard to decide if its still good and worth it to buy right now because of the price..
But we know the price can be increase more in the future.

I personally tend to say that it's better to wait, but if you really want to increase your coin holdings, then go ahead and buy at current levels. Important to note is that you should not go all in. Best is to use 25% of your capital to buy at current levels, and have the rest aside for when the price happens to go down. Another important thing that you must understand, is that if you do happen to buy at current levels, you should accept taking the risk of seeing the price fall down with a few hundred bucks in case the price corrects. It's a peak you're buying at, don't forget that.

Still worth it to buy bitcoin these days because the price i think it can stay or keep increasing because we are in new level and it is not the same as before that if the price was increase or touch with a high price many traders are selling but for now looks like even they are selling huge amount sooner the price will increase back to normal and increase much more sooner..
Its also because of japan that bitcoin was legal.. So i think its still worth it to buy bitcoins because there is a new goal that we can touch and its been a long time before this year end..

I just bought $50 worth--no regrets on this end!  Nice to see the $2000 mark breached, finally.  As always, I should have kept everything I had...but I used bitcoin as a currency.  That's the big irony here.  It's supposed to be money people spend, but no one wants to do that (myself included) when the price keeps going up.

I already bought back all the coins I sold before prices hits $1900 and now if I sell I can still profit but I'm not going to and will keep holding them for at least another year or so, I'm buying now even if drop down to zero I will keep buying because I don't really care about the market value any more.
All I care now is the stability of the network, I want to be able to have confirmation under 30 minutes with paying 180sats/b I want my transactions to confirm fast because all of them are legit and needed. $1B 24 hours volume is a record though how much is fake I can't tell.

People are asking this exact same question since the price was lower than $100.

If you don't see everyone talking about Bitcoin and no potential for customer growth, then it is not a good time, otherwise, it is.

If you're a long-termer with a strong belief in Bitcoin then any price is a good entry. Myself, I'm still hoping to come into some decent money soon, so of course I am hoping it comes down from its current ATH. However, any price won't stop me from wading in if I get the chance to buy significantly.

Yes, there are many people who are holding bitcoin to long to dump the bitcoin when ever their target price reach. Wait till until when it moves to downwards because now bitcoin reaches all time high so many people who don't have patience will sell their bitcoins.

Again I don`t know what to think, price is rising and who expected price to be +2000 so soon? Is there an end of this rise? Looks like this train don`t plan to stop anytime soon, I thought that we will see correction long time ago, but price is continually rising since we entered in this year.

Within that catch up there will be several corrections.

the correct question is how many more times are you going to wait! you have already missed a lot of chance to buy bitcoin and you are still thinking about waiting until it drops to some number.
will you accept the risk of missing out on another $500 rise? if so then wait.

Unlike the price increase and decrease with bitcoin, it's good to buy as much that's affordable. Even now it looks big for a common men, but trying to buy and hold the small portion that is affordable gives a assured profit in the later years, because price varies based on the increasing demand happening due to increase of users.

Yes, it is worth buying bitcoins. If you afford to buy more bitcoins? Go buy as much as you can. Keep it and hold it for a long run because it's worth it.  :) But in my standpoint, I will wait for the cryptocurrency to be it's low key the I will buy more and more as much as I can afford it. Well in my own opinion its not a good idea to buy bitcoins right now because this time i am thinking about the same as last year and other year that there are trading site was hack that can affect the price too much. so becareful of deciding so you will not regret in the future..

It is ok to be pessimist but do not look at the shorter view.  Try to look at the whole picture.  Bitcoin might go down in price due to some events and FUD that may happen but, look at the supply of bitcoin, plus the adoption.  These two factor will secure your investment and profit until the market is saturated.  So I guess, there is nothing wrong if you buy Bitcoin at $2000.

Remeber for the newbies one does not have to buy a whole bitcoin. Start off with what you can if that is only a .1 or even .05 it will slowly grow over time. Never too late to vet in the game and start seeing that account rise!

if you are planning on holding for long term (up to a few years)  then yes you can buy now, it wouldn't surprise me if bitcoin reaches 4k or 5k this year and by around the next halving will be at 10k+!

 The key difference between investing and gambling is risk mitigation and there are a number of strategies that can be used when purchasing Bitcoin (yes, even at $2000) to mitigate the risk.  So all of those quotes are pertinent; especially the last one, dream killer.

instead of asking a bunch of random people on the internet, go educate yourself about bitcoin. take a look at how it works, what it offers, the security, the decentralization, go find out what these mean. then try to get a feeling of how scarce bitcoin really is. don't let the big number fool you, it is scarce.

and finally learn what supply and demand means. and figure out how demand is changing over time. is it increasing? decreasing? no change?

Maybe it depends what you plan on doing with them, as a sidenote just realized back in the day when BTC was 90 a coin it peaked at 250
Eth was at 90 a few weeks ago now 200 so it's not at the absolute top if their is a correlation but near a higher end of the pricing spectrum.
That said it's better to just buy and HODL ^^.

If you want to hodl then you should think carefully and analyzed the situation if its really worth to stake by now since price is pretty huge and we can't fully trust this flactuation since the movement of it is currently unpredictable ang migh you gonna lose some money for certain bad decision. But if you will used your BTC for good and you want to trade with alts then go for it so that you have a huge chance to multiply so that you can earn more. But bare in your mind that this current situation of bitcoins rise is pretty much good but dangerous.

Asking people is one way of educating oneself.  FYI, there are lots of information in the internet that are not true.  So having different view from different people in different walks of life is better than reading a piece of professionally written document with self input thought.  I bet OP will read stuff and articles about his question.

Buying now or not is an individual choice as if you can afford to buy them and if you feel that price can rise in future then you can go for it as doing your own research is more important rather then depending on other's advice and to be honest no one knows what exactly will happen in coming days so if you think that price can go higher then you can start buying them now.

The mechanism of value increase is so unstable that it is hard to predict anything.

Normally I would say don't buy with prices this high and wait for the drop. But right now the price keeps going up so I don't know. I thought it would drop back below $1500, but there seems to be no end to the increase.

That is why everybody wonders what will happen. Is this a scenario that the value is pumped and requires a correction (i.e. 700-800 USD) or due to demand and inflow of capital this is just another step of historical value growth (i.e. up to 2700 USD and the correcting to 2000 as stable). It's like 'Fortune teller' or 'reading tea leaves' :)

I started another topic to try to assess the book value to check what is the P/E economic value. But the algorithm is complex and simplification may not show the problem. Also no one knows how much BTC is lost/blocked/kept as freeze and how big amount of BTC may interfere the market (as speculation factor).

So it you are going to wait for It to go down, then you will might loss opportunity to make profit out of your investment. So for me, I would say that it is better to buy bitcoin as the opportunity to gain good dividends is there. I speculate that the price will really go up and can be sustained in the future. Australia will also enter the picture in July 1. Japan, China and South Korea are hugging all the bitcoin they can get and influencing the price of bitcoin to go further. You don't need to be a market analyst, just buy it now.

You're talking long-term. I'm talking about short-term. There has to be a correction. Bulls are going to realize their profits.

It is still the same result if you buy BTC fort term or long term, Because in the, Bitcoin will just ended up pumping since the demand for this coin are increasing, You will just left behind the trend once you decided to do a short trade.

If I only had 0.5 bitcoin's I'd definitely be buying still. Ask yourself the question, do you think bitcoin will be valued at like $5000+ in years to come?

I always see buying bitcoin as worth it. Yes, the price is high today, others think it might dump while the rest think it will continue rising. No one knows what will really happen, but in my opinion, the price will continue rising in the coming days/months/years. So if you plan to hold for a long term, it will still be worth it. There's always a risk anyway.

There is no right answer to this question. If we say now and the price drops, then you lost. But if we say wait for a drop and the price never drops then  you lost precious opportunity. You should follow what your heart tells you and what you believe will happen to bitcoin so there will be no one to blame when things turn bad.

The solution is to diversify the risk entering altcoins, tokens etc. Example: 40% BTC, 20% ETH, 20% 'altcoins top 10', 20% tokens as high-risk investments (at least 5-10 projects, mostly 90% will fail, while 1 boosts).

But it is still HIGH risk. Roulette even ;)

It is never too late to buy Bitcoin. Who would have known that Bitcoin would breach $2,000 this month, if you read the other topics here in the speculation section predicted that it would be by end of this year. Also, early today, Bitcoin is priced at $2,030 and as I type its now priced $2,140. Still a good time to buy.

The idea of speculation is that.. you speculate. You speculate over a huge risk which may be altered by a huge profit.

I still think that in relation to crypto, it's like a roulette. I'm not saying it is something wrong. It is like a heaven for traders. Especially with no regulations. But still is has to base on experience and mechanisms of risk lowering.

But as much as you are comfortable with losing and hold it for ten years- you won't regret it. The moment to sell is when it is worth so much you are uncomfortable to lose it.

Well, it worth buying even when the price rises to $5,000 usd  but, it all depends on what you intend doing with these coin i.e buying to resell to eager buyer's when there is a slight increase in price!

The recent hack news insist me to buy more and more bitcoins ( if you don't know google about the recent virus - Wannacry ) but that been said if the main reason for the spike in the price is the recent hack only then surely the hackers will soon dump their coins and it might be the worst idea investing knowing this.

But if the reason is not just hack but some solid investors then surely its the best time to buy because it won't take any time getting close to 3000$ in coming days with the rate it is climbing.

There are lots of people waiting for the correction price thing that leads to regrets and until now waiting for that lol.

Remember the first rally to $1,000? People expect a crash and it happened. But still not bought because they are still waiting for more crash and now look at what happened. Price increase again as the start of what we are today resulting now for the large margin to their desire price to buy.

I agree and I believe there is no better time than buying bitcoin now.  I have seen lots of people asking about the timing on buying bitcoins ever since bitcoin was around 700, almost all say when it goes down in price, but the question is what is the right price.  So I agree with goinmerry, buy on your own stand.

 The Japanese aren't doing very well economically.  After twenty years of economic stagnation, they have a monstrous public debt which was built up trying to fend of deflation for so many years.  I'm not sure they are the ones to look to for when to buy and sell... at least not right now.
 

Most of the people are hoping that price will drop in coming days and that would be the right time to buy bitcoins and I think price may drop by 10% and even that drop can be considered as a good price to buy bitcoins and price will not go too low now so if you want to buy then you can buy them now.

i agree there is a good chance of a drop now that price rise has slowed down and it actually has been a long time since we saw a real drop! we have been seeing constant rise with little corrections so far.

and in case it starts dropping i would be ready to invest a large amount of money in bitcoin again apart from the stash that i already have. this year's rise is just getting warmed up!

Well, buying bitcoin right now would be really worth it if you are going to hold it for a long enough time, bitcoin has a potential to move to the higher value so there will still be a chance to get a much higher profit even if you buy at $2200+ . If you are going to wait for a lower price you will probably lose the oppprtunity .


Definitely that's true, there were many threads that were started with almost the same questions but at different value and we didn't expected that we are going to discuss this question once again and there's still a possibility that we will repeat it after the price is at $10k value ;D

Actually when we talk about the bitcoin price will dump, we talk of the past like it was dumped before but there is something that we miss while we make a dump policy for the bitcoin. We don’t remember that in past any country like Japan has made a decision to legalize it and now it got a legalized path. So, now it will be better to look at the progress of the Bitcoin rather than the decline.

I would say that the price of bitcoins would be more than 10000$ and i dont think that there will be any price correction or even the price of bitcoins would go down anyhow as the price of bitcoins is going high up and it will reach the speculated amount in no time.

If you have bought bitcoin under $2000, than in this day you have earned profit from your bitcoin. Because bitcoin price right now $2494. Than good to know that you are in a profit. But now the time has gone when everyone buy the bitcoin easily, because i see bitcoin price very expensive not everyone can buy the bitcoin.

Yes I agree with what you are had said. I think we need to understand the realty of the Bitcoin investment. It is not a short term investment, if someone is interested in short term investment the alts are here for it. But the BTC is a long term game and one can get benefit of the investment when he/she will invest for a long term.

Well if your though's is that welll your pretty much right but you should analyze the current situation and i really think that we can earn from bitcoins by doing some short trades and plays for its movement, And I really seen more people earning some good profits for it and your long time waiting will not be boring if you learn to do it since you can earn while waiting and im sure when the time bitcoins pump up harder you will earn huge profit since you already multiple your balance by doing some wise move on its early stage.

If you have bought at a price lower than $2000, then you are luckiest, because by the coming days we cannot see this price often. Most probably once after reaching $3000, that might be the price we might be sustaing for a long as the year end price prediction is termed to be $3500. Now if you're buying focus on long term investment as it's highly profitable.

I would be lucky if I could buy bitcoins at a price of 2000 dollars. Maybe someone thinks this price is high, but not me. In the coming years, the price will increase and we will have a ridiculous price of $ 2,000 per bitcoin

Bitcoin already recover from $1800-$1900 and stay above $2200 on some exchanges. It seems that last rally caused by some big whales invested on bitcoin due to adoption from several countries and legalization bitcoin.
We don't have any momentum right now, and the market still calm I think, before it rise again.

 
yes i am also in favour of long term investment, long term investment is much more safer than short term investment. those people who have invested money a year before the are now really getting good profit and still they are not going to sell their bitcoin because still they are very much confident that they ar going to get a good profit in future.

Yes you should buy bitcoins whenever you can because it has become like a guaranteed profit method. That surely sounds like some hyip or mlm but yeah that's what we bitcoin holders are currently enjoying. And also if you see the current price of bitcoin it is 2400$ so if you bought at 2000$ you could have a profit 400$ by now

Yes, it is not a game nor is it any sort of a very cheap tool to be used in the game. It is a real bloody business. Here you are not going to listen to your heart; you have to act upon the workings with the facts and figures. It will be better if we open our minds and use our brain to decide to what to do.

Lol but if to speak on the merits it is today such a day and the cost of Bitcoin that not everyone can afford to spend such money in order to survive in the crypt and in that it seems to me that the active growth always comes to a small sleep And then you can take advantage of the situation to buy Bitcoin.

When you are investing when the price is so high you must also consider the risks involved because a negative trend could wipe away everything just like that,so it is a two edge sword,if it goes high you will end up in a good profit and if the price goes down you are going to suffer and wait till the price recovers.

It's always a good moment to buy, because we haven't even touched the top prices. Once more countries do what Japan did we'll have a great increase in demand and in value.
If you're in for a quick investment I think you might want to wait it out and see if the ATH is breached. We are setting up for another 2600 run, so you can jump on now and keep watching the price, ready to sell if we bounce of ATH and go back down, like we did not long ago and buy then. If the price breaks 2600 we'll go up some more, so it should be a good opportunity.

I agree with you because the actual purpose of us is to invest our money in bitcoin and to make it double or more multiple with bitcoin no matter how much is that. If we cannot buy a whole bitcoin then we have to buy that much for which we have money. It is not like gold that we cannot buy at lower amount of money.

When the price crashed to below $2000 everyone got feared and most of them have started to sell but their was no one who started to buy if not now the price is $2400+ then automatically he is in profit.

Actually, you only make profit when you sell your coins. Currently, you only have made a statistical gain, and exactly that isn't really something that has much value on its own. It's basically the same as when the price suddenly drops to the $1500 level tomorrow -> you only lose when you sell your coins. Again, in this case, the statistical loss has no value.

definitely yes, cause the price of bitcoin will reach $4000 this year for sure or early in 2018. its always worth buying bitcoin and hold it for atleast a year and see what can happen to your money. Profit is a profit dude, it's not matter if you only have small amount of bitcoins. For OP, i think it's still worth to buy bitcoin right now, because the price of bitcoin still on high price and i'm sure it will keep increase until the end of the month.

Profit is NOT a profit, profit is a profit only if it's realized, meaning you can't have made a profit unless it materializes in real money. Sure, you can theoretically have a profit in your fantasy, but the only profit that counts is the money in your bank account. This is what separates the noobs from the pros.

I think it is right to buy bitcoin at present. Because no matter what you will definitely gonna get a good return by the end of the year. Even if for a time bitcoin drops. If Op when his started this topic if they buy bitcoin the price is $2000 per bitcoin and hold for tody for sure they eadn 25% profit with their money. That is not an estimation, that is truth, most people who achieved their goal price always convert quickly to fiat because they think that it will be the lst highest price that bitcoin will have, but ut is not, but, I don't think they've done the wrong decision, it is better to have a profit than to regret.

Wow... you are already sitting on top of more than 20% profits. It could have been a very difficult decision. After refusing to purchase coins at $200 or $300 per coin, the mental resistance will prevent us from buying the coins now, at $2,000 or $2,500 per coin.

Very often people are liable to logic or greed and therefore refuse to purchase cryptocurrency. But when six months or a year passes, they regret that they did not buy the coins. I buy bitcoins when I have extra money. I know that in a few months I will make a profit.

One thing is certain - once the price of Bitcoin will grow higher it will be harder to convince people that there is still room for future growth.
It will also limit number of people who would like to invest. Buying 1 whole bitcoin won;t be possible for everyone anymore.
When my friends ask me when will be a good time to buy BTC I usually respond - today is a good day to buy BTC. Next year BTC would be worth much more.

IMO at this point it's too late to buy coins. The potential returns is no longer as big as back as it was before, and the potential for a crash is as high as it can get.

It's not cheap for those people that doesn't have enough to invest with it. We are now near at $2,500 I checked the price it's now at $2,490 so there's only few distance and we'll reach back to another good amount. And well the chart of bitcoin is getting high, the price of $2k is better to buy now rather than buying it at $3k.

Op started this topci may 2017 and athe price on that day is only $2000 and If they decided to buy bitcoin on that day and hold until now for they earn profit. Even today its better to buy bitcoin because the price for sure this month will be atleast $3000 per bitcoin. Indeed, the best time is yesterday but today might be the best of the best. buying bitcoin now at the price of around $2000 will sure make you rich after 5years, yes too long to wait but its worth it. i will save now than to cry later i want to secure my future thru bitcoin. i believe in bitcoin and bitcoin will prove it right.

This thread reminds me of previous threads. Is it worth buying bitcoins now at $600, $800, $900, $1000, $1500 and so on... ? wait till it reaches $5k and u will be asking the same question again. Like everyone would say, buy it when u have the extra cash, little by little and hold. It's never too late.

In my opinion there's no way for bitcoins price to fall around 1500 usd per bitcoin. Hence, my advice is to buy a lot of bitcoin until its price is not that expensive because, I guess bitcoins price will hike again soon. There's a possiblity that bitcoin will pump again.

Bitcoin's price now is a little high, and it is not preferable to buy it now, though it depends on how you will be taking these risk. These upcoming August, the splitting will happen and there are many bitcoin users against it, these may create a panic and may also result into a dump.

When I saw headline I had a deja vu, more then a year ago when price was under 500 dollars there was questions is it worth to buy bitcoins now? A year later we can see it was worthy to buy as much as you can.

Yes ,it indeed is worth buying bitcoin at the rate of 2000$ and if you are thinking by any chance that bitcoin would drop to 1800/1900$ soon ,I don't think that would happen,bitcoin is trying to be invincible, so no matter what its price won't go down any sooner, so I would suggest you to invest in bitcoin as soon as possible before it is too late.

Even if the price goes over the $3000 level in the coming weeks it won't be too late. I seriously believe that we haven't seen anything yet from what the price will really be in the coming years. People have enough time to continue accumulating coins. People were saying the same as you before the price reached the $1000 level -- 'If you don't buy at current levels, you'll be too late to join the party'. Just look at where we stand right now.... ;)

The million dollar question is,how would you know whether the price would reach to those valuation and in what amount of time,there are several new ICO coming up and if you look at the financial point of view i think investing in any promising ICO is more profitable for a short term investment.I think the price of bitcoin will rise to new levels but much i could invest in bitcoin with a price like this is the hurdle.

That's true earlier today is the best time to buy bitcoins, but if you can earn it without buying bitcoins you can just earn bitcoin in your own then do it and save it until it is still early. Doing it today I think will make us successful in the near future.  ;D :D

I get the comparison and also it is never too late to buy btc but it is always for any members to study and look around at the situation right now. There are still many ways to earn btc in some little ways buy short term trades or expanding your knowledge through interacting while in a campaign. It is noticeable that many people are earning enough profits by waiting offcourse for some time because that's how should really work. Because of this pumps and dumps it is just necessary to learn when and why it must would start or even end.

I will not set when to buy and sell bitcoin, the most important thing for me is to be able to benefit from the results of purchasing and selling margins. I do not target to buy in a special nominal, because a small nominal sometimes can even make us lose.

Buying and selling is done irrespective of the price. This gives the better earning possibilities, if one make a regular investment. And I do the same whether the price increase or decrease I don't think of it, but a specific amount is invested into bitcoin regularly hoping for a better profiting in the future.

I think now is a really good time to buy because the price has stabilised and I think its only a matter of time before the next pump to put it above $3000.

Bitcoin has stabilized? Bitcoin has been a roller coaster for quite a while now with 10-20% swings in a matter of hours -- not exactly what I consider to be stable.... Other than that, buying at current levels purely depend on your targets. If you're long term minded, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't start buying right now. If you're purely interested in short term gains, I would advice you to just wait a bit, unless you know how to make use of the volatility.

I think what he's referring as stable price because currently in the last few days the price is hovering in the $2600-$2700. So maybe that is why he is saying that is it stable. Steady phase with few swings here and there. But I agree, if you think that bitcoin is for long term investment then buy it at the current price and hold on it. But you just have to keep it somewhere safe and you can go back and check it in the next years or so.

i think we can buy bitcoin at any time there is no such a specific time for buying bitcoin. because there is still too much potential in the price of bitcoin and therefore me i think it is still the best time to invest money in bitcoin.

Bitcoin being the volatile coin it is,you really cannot tell that the price has being stabilized,we are at this current valuation level simple because we had a good rally in the past few months and you need to have some major news or big time investors to have another rally.

For more profit you can buy bitcoins when the bitcoin's price under $2.300. Because the price of bitcoin always increase even the price going down like 2-3 days ago. The price of bitcoin is around $2700 right now and i think it's still worth to buy bitcoins now.

There were people who are just aiming lower prices for buying and missing current price and then regretting after seeing bitcoin prices jumped in overnight. If we are aiming to buy at $2300 levels then we may miss the current levels too. Because we cannot be sure bitcoin will be falling in near future. Prices may rise up to $5000 levels before end of this year. If you are seriously considering this big price levels then buying right now must be the right decision.

Buy bitcoins anytime you want as long as you can use it to profit because buying it and keeping it. It doesn't make any difference than using it to gain more profit. It is just like the same of saving your money into the banks but it doesn't even grow as much as you want.

I think its worth to buy it even at $2700 where its at now because its almost sure to be at $5000 before the end of the year. Once August 1st comes and passes without issue people will realize that.

Exactly, you can start investing in BTCs anytime, it can be now or tomorrow, doesn't matter, it's always time to enter the game. The difference by getting in now or later, it's that the profit will take more time to be achieved as BTC price is very unstable, especially on short term. The price can drop a lot and you will see your investment negative for a while, but don't worry, the price recovers after some time (as it always happened until now).

Just would like to add an exception... As in 1 August there will be a uncommon event, nobody knows what will happen with BTC price, so if you don't like risks, just for now don't buy Bitcoins... But if you are able to take the risk, go on anyway.

A $2.000 bitcoin, that sounds so cheap, I think we are in a period just like in the summer of 2017, where it is good to accumulate more bitcoins, by dollar cost in each month.

Whats interesting about this original post is the timeline, basically back in May 2017, all my friends kept asking about Bitcoin and if you look at Google trends for Bitcoin its around the same time that it started to really trend before the peak in Q4 2017.

Now if you see that this OP wanted to buy at $1800 but saw it break $3000 and most like FOMO there, so did most other individuals. And assume the fact that most retail traders either bought at $3000 and sold at $4000 or they got greedy and held up till $19.9K and when it went back down to $3100 last Deceember they probably sold then at break-even and it finally reversed.

So all that profit just vanished like that due to pure greed, its amazing the way the markets work.

Bitcoin was 4000$ early this year and that was the best time to buy bitcoins. If anyone had bought bitcoin at that time, with few months he would have doubled his money as bitcoin is now around 8000$.
