Edit: As for being good news according to the wiki in 2016 bitstamp was rated the second largest exchange in the world for BTC volume. So LTC being added is great news. I'd like to chime in with my opinion which is this is because litecoin tech is simply more advanced. Cheaper and faster transactions than BTC? Like who wouldn't want that? This is good news for LTC. All it lacks now is mass adoption by businesses. Anyway, with the current price of LTC as of writing, its a good time to buy and stock LTC for the future.
