Does anyone know why price of Zcash going so high?

It will be very good.
But 1ZEC=1BTC is too optimistic prediction

And again, folks confuse "use of technology" with "use of the coin".

 The articles clearly state that JP Morgan is planning to integrate/in process of integrating some of the ZEC *TECHNOLOGY* into their own blockchain-based platform - which will NOT use ZEC the coin.

 This is a LOT more clear-cut based on what the articles SAY as opposed to the confusion of "Ripple Technology" vs the use of XRP the coin.


 But yes, the spike DOES appear to be based on that news - and it's good for us miners as long as the price stays up, even if the reason is wrong. 8-)

The reason is not wrong. The Team stands behind the coin and the technology. Good PR for the team is good PR for zcash.

at the beginning zcash was very overpriced, i remember 1 was worth 3k bitcoin, yes you heard it right was 3k bitcoin, but the voluem was very low, i think 1 btc is possible but it need more investors

I think coin will be pumped again soon

ZEC the first couple of days had INSANE valuation - was way over $3000 for the first few hours it was available to be traded, the very first folks to mine it made a KILLING (I didn't do quite so well, but did start mining on it about the end of day 2 or sometime in day 3 and I think I pulled in $1500ish during my first week of mining it vs. my NORMAL ballpark $600-$800 a week just before that) - hashrates were a ton lower at that point due to the miners being VERY immmature and nowhere near optimised, but the network hashrate was tiny 'till the news got around and a TON of folks jumped on it - and the price collapsed quite quickly into the under-$100 range, where ZEC basically moved into being one of "the basket of more-or-less even profitability" coins.

 It was nice enough the first couple weeks that it paid for at least one of my current "newest rigs", and I think part of a second.


 The last move doesn't really count as a "pump" as it was based on news (even if I think that news was misinterpreted), not just market manipulation.

I do not know because I do not follow zcash mining.
