I don't think there is anything 'chinese' about it. I bet it's GPU farm trolls or ASIC owners wanting new coins to 'go away' or want to horde and are DDOS'ing launched pools heavily to disrupt while they farm themselves.

You 'could' always just PM the pool address to the people in this thread. I would be happy to mine on it, and if we get 10-15 people it will be a decent solve rate at this diff and you won't have the info public for DDOS.

Been with you for awhile now bob, Since that first "oh fine ill put up a pool" post over on the main thread. Keep up the effort, I am. I have hashed for the past 8 hours at 100+khs pool and solo, and haven't had any luck.  Congrats to everyone else though.
 

There is the chance that Chinese users will flock to this new coin, considering it as "theirs" and it will have a niche in the market, making it worth something.

Well Bob I gave it a shot to get a pool up, but I ran into difficulty since the backend is java and bitcoinj can't handle scrypt coins. There's a litecoinj port I snagged, but can't seem to get it to build atm. So for now I'm just mining on your pool. ;)

Never seen a difficulty so high before on a share I submitted. Sexy. I'm submitting very few shares, I assume because of the fast blocks and/or it seems server is asking for 700+ difficulty shares only. But coins are slowly rolling in so I guess those few shares I do submit add up. ;)

I will do some changes on the diff later on.

Not getting any payouts since 17h00 (GMT +1) and shares are still accepted. Before 17h everithing was ok (some payout every minute...)

When did you start? There was not any blocks between 1700 and 1734 then 3 on a row..

--scan-time|-s <arg> Upper bound on time spent scanning current work, in seconds (default: 60)
--expiry|-E <arg>   Upper bound on how many seconds after getting work we consider a share from it stale (default: 120)
--queue|-Q <arg>    Minimum number of work items to have queued (0 - 10) (default: 1)

been getting payments all night so the pool works great :)

I'm still using this simply because it's the most stable pool I could find after trying them all. Those pushpools pay out crap for some reason.

It might be because of the parameter tuning, shares seems to take longer to get, but they have more value :)

That is correct. Nothing to worry about.

You will not get shares as often as other pools. But the shares are worth more to explain it more simplified.

No. "There is no password." The x can be replaced by anything, or you can just keep the x. ;)

can i use your pool and for address put my address  from btc-e ? or it has to be from wallet? i dont need to run wallet in server mode?

Use your client wallet before sending to any exchange...

A noob question, never did p2pool. How long does it take for the earnings to arrive to my wallet when the block is found ?

It's instant..

Server mode => no (no use, you are mining on a pool, not solo => server is for solo mining)
BTC-e/Bter wallet => no (If your payment is below "The minimum amount of deposit", you will not receive your funds => lost)

I dont recommend anything, but it seems to have some effect :) i haven't had the time to experiment to much with the parameters.

Getting incredible amount of invalids :(. Mining on pool2 with about 20MHs ...

 And btw thank you man for this pool, it at least works unlike the others

Make sure your cgminer files are clean for shares from other pools before connecting, that will give you bad shares.

Did all before connecting but still ... How much invalids do people usually have here ?

On several machines (and different pools, us and eu) i have even more invalid/stales then accepted(( Such as:

I do not want to change diff settings, if they are to easy they will flood the whole p2pool system.
If someone has comment on the code used, i might do changes until then i am not touching it.

I'm using guiminer scrypt with cgminer too (v0.03) cards are 7950 at 20 intencity (about 600 kh/s)
I deleted flags (-s 5 --expiry 5 --queue 0), switched to eu servers and it seems better now, at least number of accepted shares became greater than invalids), but still too hi...
I'll try clean launch of the miner, 'll see then..

I dont know if it is me but I always have this odd behaviour with p2pools. I start mining, get accepted shares, show up on payout list, get a couple of payments and then payments stop and I have dropped off the payment list. Shares still getting accepted but no payments for blocks being found? Is that normal or am I just unlucky? I am throwing ~550khash at it too!

Mining without interrupt on the pool 01, and there was already found 20 block without any payment for me! Is this a normal situation?? Shares are still accepted

I've seen a couple of p2pool setups saying you can add the difficulty after your address. One of which came from another cnc pool:

Is this a standard feature of p2pool and would it work here? It would certainly help to reduce the 1/3 stales I'm getting if it does work.  :D

wierd, my wallet CX5U249bzRKKF4P5gFeUFTzkKMUmgt3WzN stopped recieving coins, even though I continued mining for hours. So I tried mining other things.
Eventually came back about an 20 or 30 minutes ago, thought I'd try CX3TtjM512i57dk7ep4z5rDnVyH3hHKn5K wallet, and still no coins until 6:55, 6:56 6:57 and 6:58 (UTC), 4 in a row, all the same payout.  

Can I use this P2pool without running the Qt client on my PC, i.e. having an address hosted somewhere else?

for the last hour and a half, I've been throwing 600khash/s at the pool, and currently, my wallet isn't even listed at http://pool04-cnc.coinloot.com:8400/static/.
Ive been paid for 9 blocks in the last 56 minutes and there has been 26 blocks found during that time period.
I just want to know if this is normal

 Theres a large number of stales/invalids on these p2pools, I think its about that. I sometimes get 7 cnc per block, and sometimes 0.9. Also there has been some times I havent been paid. Its not up to the pool operator I think, it simply means pools need hammering and tweaking, and since its the begining of cnc, no one has yet done this. It will come

I was minning for ~1.5h, got ~25 shares accepted and didn't receive even single CNC for that.
That was > 2h ago so I think sth is wrong with that pool currently, I even wasn't listed on miners list.

Between 10.33 and 10.47 theres 9 blocks, I got credited for 6 ...

In total, I am not being credited for like 15-20% of blocks. The question is, who is getting them ?

I like you and your pools, but...

Sorry, but this is bullshit. Of course you're responsible for that, since you have some "profit" (with the 3% fee and the current hashrate: 112CNC/hour = 2688CNC/day = 6.5BTC/day).
You are the pool operator, and it's your (well paid) job/hobby to have everything operational and functional.
Beware, at the end you could end up with an empty pool and a scammer title (like many before)...

i've gone fornearly 5 hours between payouts, from 01:59 to 06:12 there were no payments, even though i dod solve plenty of shares.

Switched pools for now to see if its fixable :)

goto page 1 of the thread, next to each pool is the pool's stats.  at teh bottom is the addresses thta would get payout

something seems really wrong with payouts on this pool. the 2 good push pools are closed to new registrants.

I started mining on this pool about 5pm and got regular payouts for a couple hours, then they just stopped about 9pm. Left it running a couple more hours after I noticed but nothing has come in since.  This is without any config changes too.  I realise this is a new operation but I was able to mine with cnc.dontmine.me and it's been very reliable.

For people trying to install a local P2Pool node from https://github.com/chrda/p2pool-chncoin (https://github.com/chrda/p2pool-chncoin), it doesn't work without modifying the p2pool/networks.py file: the bootstrap servers for the "litecoin" network (reused by the CNC P2Pool) have invalid hostnames.

To fix this, replace the BOOTSTRAP_NODES value in the litecoin section (line 62) like this (reusing the public nodes listed in the OP).

Just added a European node (not public: I don't think you can mine efficiently on P2Pool without a local node).

The nice part with p2pool is that the wallet it uses will always be 0 coin. I see that i am not going to setup any pushpoold in the near future except for private members.
And when it comes to profit, have you seen the 10k GiveAway Thread i have?

I haven't had any problems with it, I've been getting regular payouts from pool2. So far just over 100 CNC in the last 19 hours.

Moved to solo mining, much better now :)

A question:

When it doesn't what does it mean?

Im seeing the same issue, when mining directly on blastbob P2Pools but also on my own P2Pool node though (connected to blastbob's p2pool network), anyone knows why that is?

I haven't had a 'mined' payment from Bob's pool for about 30-40 minutes now even though there's been blocks. Previously I was getting them every minute or two.

bobs pool works well for me much better than solo, sometimes u can go many hours witout getting coins, then a lot come in at the same time.

whatever,  bob has worked hard from the very start and was the first to bring a pool out for cnc i think, without him all the coins would have just been taken by the huge mining rigs on solo.

thanks bobs, who knows how the pool works p2p is a mystery however still my pc on your pool does a lot better than my other pc solo mining. both the same sort of hash.

I understand pps frustration when mining and seeing it not going 100% to plan, but really he is not forcing anyone to use it and actually from the start has always kept saying go to pushpools if possible. He even recommended ppl solo mine if they could at the start when it was easy he said he was doing better soloming himself back when diff was small. He set the p2p pool to help others out basically which is really cool of him.

 However i have tried several of those psuh pools and they are FAR from perfect. I left one going over ngiht only to wake up to a message sorry pool closed, but somehow they forgot to turn if off totally so my cgminer never failed over to the backup.

P2Pool is using the shares submitted for the last 24h or the last 3 blocks found whichever is the least.

Currently the difficulty is so low that blocks are found on average in ~1 minute. If you don't manage to submit a p2pool share (which have high difficulty) at least one time during the 3 block window (on average ~3 minutes) you don't get any payout.

So everything is fine: it adds variance for each payout but they happen often enough to smooth it out in a few hours for most people.

Does it mean that after tweaking share difficulty the way like mentioned in the 1st post (by adding for example +0.00058207 to CHNcoin address) shares that have not enough high difficulty likely wouldn't be taked into account?

I like his pools, I was mining on the pool01 since it went online... I know that setup and manage any pool is a pain in the ass. (I'm experimenting with one right now).
