Worst thing is there's never guarantee that they've taken them all out. Like trichinella spiralis - the parasite whose eggs develop in the muscle tissue of the animal/human between the fibers and they basically have to cut your muscles to small pieces and search for them and even then they might leave a few behind.

Ugh! Like normal fleas weren't bad enough. I hate these things. I get them once a year or so when I go hiking or if I have to go to the basement of the building. We spray against them regularly but we just can't get rid of these nasty creatures.

Things like this are what makes me want to stay indoors at all times and not explore the outdoors.

Never seen anything like this up here in Canada. The cold weather has its ups too. Less bugs. The worst we get are mosquitoes and black flies in the country and those evil horse flies. Nothing in the city really, maybe house flies, the odd grasshopper and butterflies.

Sometimes you think what was nature thinking when creating stuff like this. I can't really see a purpose to such a parasite, does it have any natural predator? Does it fit somewhere in the food chain?
