Title: Lack of good "buy" options
Post by: dbc23 on May 24, 2017, 06:41:10 PM
Wondering if/what you all see or would suggest as strong "buys" right now.  I follow the rubric of buy low sell high, so I won't buy during a pump, and right now I'm getting ready to divest some of my massive earnings from the recent rises and want to put them back into something that will hopefully rise later.

The only known coins that seem down now that are worth considering are STR/XRP and PIVX.

I'm already into STR and PIVX as much as I want to be and I avoid XRP if I can.

Any suggestions?

NEM is "less overvalued" than the other top 10 coins, and should double or more yet. Other then that I suggest cashing out and putting the money in a banking account.  Or maybe xtrabytes. Proof of signature technology. Unique and a dedicated team. Get it before it's listed on bittrex.   Beware the deadline to set up a static node ended at the 50,000th block. They are transitioning to a new blockchain and after that time in the future may open up future static node registration.

Hello dbc23, indeed many coins have had parabolic rallies which makes it more difficult to start new allocations. There might be a few that are still buyable.

1. Zclassic - the price is artificially depressed because of the Zencash fork, this is based on the Zcash technology which is a privacy focused coin.

2. Solarcoin - this coin is designed to incentivize Solar production and has not yet experienced a 200% price pump like many coins.

I agree with dissident that NEM is less overvalued than other coins.

Check out WINGS. About as undervalued as you can get. Lots of big names involved. Easy $100 million market cap from here.

It's probably just a high altitude, you can see by CMC big gainers that a lot of coins are going up.  I'm trying to not be emotional about it.  The next two weeks might look like the last two weeks which weren't supposed to happen.  I'm taking out some BTC gains into Fiat and trying to let BTC accumulate from profits more than before, but resisting the temptation to set all my sell orders very low.

I keep making money by following the threads like  Artbyte, Myriad, Digibyte, Bitbean, Bitbay, and making sure I buy the poloniex coins that aren't pumped when they are at lows.  I take chances when I see a coin go up and down a few times on the big gainers list at CMC, if they have a good team and the coin has good tech or utility.

Blackcoin, the most innovative PoS coin, is undervalued.

agree with OP lack of buy options, not saying there won't be further rises but the market could get overheated and certainly in my thinking its not a buying low point in most top 100 coins.
from the ones i watch seems feathercoin is the one lagging the most in this 2017 bull market; last year in a bearish crypto market it had some of the largest, well lets say, pumps, so my guess is sooner or later it could make up ground and then some....but thats just a hunch.

Solarcoin is definitely undervalued right now. New article out in Forbes magazine that discusses Solarcoin. Solarcoin was also on the agenda for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change this week (July 11-13th)

There's no way to say if something is overvalued in crypto.  You can't analyze a shitcoin like you can a stock, so it's all just guesswork--and not educated, at that.

Buy low sell high is smart.  Unfortunately most people don't do that, they panic when prices drop.  I wouldn't touch any of these lesser shitcoins right now, as I think the market is in for further pain.
