Bitcoin is usually the most profitable SHA-256 coin in a long run.

You only make very very small profit if you have "free electricity".

There is no point for most of the people to have Antminer S3 today.

You can try to estimate your mining rewards by entering your numbers here https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator

No you didnt calculate it incorrectly. You are talking about a years old piece of obsolete mining equipment. You will lose money running it unless the power is 100% free. Even then you wont make enough money with to bother with the heat and noise.

S3s are reported to be pretty quiet (they and the Avalon 4s were once a favorite among college students), S5s might be too noisy to run in your living room but can apparently be modded to reduce noise, while S7s and newer would require noise mitigation to run at home.

BTW, even the college students, living in dorms with "free" electricity, have largely turned to mining altcoins with GPUs. The combination of quiet Bitcoin miners becoming scarce, GPUs returning more profit, and GPUs being useful for other purposes really make altcoin mining a better choice for them.

If you're really considering buying this don't forget you need to purchase a power supply to go with it.  So even with "free to you power"  ROI will still take some time to reach and may never be achieved.

Server PSUs are cheap on Ebay. And it's not quite the same because a quality PSU can be expected to last 5 years or more and can be reused on newer mining hardware or other devices.
