Some well known gigs have also predicted even $1 million is possible per bitcoin within next 10-20 years.

50k is only a factor of 25X, and we already saw such a growth in the past, so why not.

But I need to say , i'm not an expert of any sort.

From all the coins out there if one will succeed will be BTC. Ethereum is nice yeah but let's not forget that's not a coin.

The bitcoin is growing too fast, and by the end of the year it will be possible to see a mark of $ 5000, when at the beginning of this year I thought that bitcoin would not exceed $ 2000-2500 by the end of the year.

Sure it will. It's only less than $400 before it pass $3k . I'm surprised at how fast the price raised since 2 days ago and honestly I've been monitring the price to withdraw some of my money. Do you think I should do it now or wait til tomorrow for a higher price? Or will it not change?

I wonder how the price increase is affecting the use of Bitcoin in sales. I've tried on several occasions to get people to use Bitcoin to pay for domain names, but so far, I haven't had any success. I wonder if the increase will make people cautious about buying coins to pay for products.

Actually I was only expecting for bitcoins' price to reach 1.5k-2k $ at the end of the year but after how fast bitcoins' price goes for this year I'm sure that those price may be or will be achieved or maybe even surprised us just like what's happening today. Right now I'm thinking how old investors are feeling right now holding those bitcoins.

Every morning I wake up and check the price it just keeps on going, I would hate to guess how far it will go but $5k at the end of June isn't that crazy anymore.

I am just holding my bitcoin tightly and right now I am quite happy that I haven't sold my 1+ bitcoin when price was just around $1000. I am hoping atleast $5000 by end of this year.  ;)

Even though I may not sell my bitcoin at this price too and keep on collecting whatever I can + Buy more whenever there will be some correction on price.

w00t just thinking and just watching my Bitcoin growing without doing nothing. We can say in nearly future that bitcoin can reach $5,000 by the end of this year. In crypto world there's no impossible just set some plans that you want to achieve and wait for it until you achieve it.

It looks like we are already getting correction right now price is getting dumped or corrected because $800+ growth within 1 week can't be stable pump. I will buy on that dip and also suggest others to do the same.

But don't sell right now in this correction.

The price increase that we have seen this last month has been one of the worst and best experiences of my life.

Worst because it makes me regret all the BTC I currently don't have because I spent it 40-90 days ago.

Best because it shows that we were all right in sticking with it, through the tough times. You don't even need a lot of BTC to have a small fortune at this rate. And all the various projects running for charity right now have seen an amazing upswing in the money they'll receive in the end.

I'm of the belief that we can reach and surpass $50k in the coming 5+ years. After that it is very likely that some countries have abandoned FIAT and started using BTC.

It almost reach that mark already so we are looking forward for a touchdown and be stable at that $3000 mark and then we get to $4000 and $5000 real quick due to adoptions and segwit activations in september better to hold bitcoins now

Although the price is sky high, I will likely hold on most of my Bitcoins since I have faith in the future of crypto currencies. My meager investment back in 2012 has now grown to enough value to purchase a house. I will expect the price to correct soon, in which I may purchase even more if the price goes low enough. I'm in it for the long haul.

Don't get overly exited about reaching moon price. There is potential but there is also many things that can go wrong here.
We briefly reached $2760 on Bitstamp today, but it was a short lived pump, support level is not set high enough to sustain this price.
Therefore we see price's decline to $2500 - it is too soon to tell if this will our new stable support level.

The price of $3,000 is very possible because we just need more than $500 and we are touching the $3,000 price and i think before this year ends we will see that price and the only people who will be happy for this are the believers of bitcoin.

Don't get me wrong, if it goes back to $1,500 it would be a great time to buy again! No real tragedy here

A little while ago (20 - 30 minutes or so), BTC had a mini-flash-crash to $2395.  My gentle suggestion to anyone sitting on a nice pile of Bitcoin that has had a huge rise (like my stack has) is to SELL some of them to hedge your gains.  Particularly if BTC is over 10% of your net wealth (it is under 1% of mine).

IF BTC goes down "bigly", you can always rebuy.

Bitcoin future can't be predicted in numbers. The moment when all of us were sure that bitcoin is heading towards $3000, it took a back gear and dropped over $400 in last hours.
When millions of brain affecting the bitcoin prices then it is almost impossible to determine with past experience.

I think 5000-10000 $ is biggest price which bitcoin can reach:I am really impressed how this days bitcoin is growing so fast so I think that I should have more concetration on earning bitcoin.

$5000-$10000 will be the highest ever? I doubt that. Imagine when we have the first Country adopt BTC as their official currency, it will skyrocket. When the masses start seeing the benefits, we'll easily surpass $5k ten times or more.

I believe bitcoin will at least hit 5000 in 2017. If it can move 50% in 1 month like it just did, it has plenty of time to move + 100% within 6 months.

I believe we moved 100% in 1 month. But yeah I am of the belief that $5000 is reachable in 2017, it all depends on what the smart money decides to do going forward. We could just stay around $2000 moving forward until some big news drop or we could go back down to $1000. It sure feels like it's up in the air at the moment.

that was a good analysis that with holding some amount of bitcoin we could richer and richer every years indeed that would tempting many people to buy more bitcoin and holding it as their long term investment but i don't think would very easy to predict bitcoin price just like that

Right now its on the downwards side on the graph and hitting with a dump. Lowered near to 300$ in just 1-2 hours and lots of people are going crazy about it. I too hope and wish that it will reach 5k$ one day but i dont think it is a possible future in this year.

I very much hope that this year bitcoin will be 5000. This will be a huge opportunity to multiply its financial position.

It looks like there was a dump earlier or maybe what we are seeing is a correction price only. But I still believed that it can recover and touch $3000 soon. Maybe investors just want to make some money now as they are seeing the price of bitcoin very tempting for a sell.

The whales are cashing out now for the weekend so I do not think we will reach 3k USD this week but maybe in a few weeks or months. There is much day trading and more activity in Asian Markets who look at trading like daily gambling casinos. They want instant profits.

there was still no etf rejection yet, so the big dump will come soon, but no worries I guess btc price will be $4000 at the end of the year

When we fix the scaling issue (maybe in August), the price will go up a lot. That's why this is the time to buy more even if we are in the all-time high. Just remember that this is just the beginning and that Bitcoin is still a child.

Before, I did not trust at all with such a forecast for today, I'm optimistic about the future and I can believe people with figures who want to characterize the future price for Bitcoin. Then I completely agree with your opinion and I hope that everything will be exactly as it was said.

I do not  believe that there will be a dump after etf has been rejected again.  We had seen the result when bitcoin was first rejected, it was not affected, even with the 2nd etf rejection bitcoin price keep on increasing. So I believe this etf rejection has no effect.  I still agree that bitcoin price may reach $4000 at the end of the year because of how fast bitcoin price increase.

This really makes the shock when the price in 1 hour straight down $300, but as far as the price of the bitcoin has reached its former glory when touching $2000. of course, this became our dreams when it reaches $3000. I just wish it could stay on until $2000 the next few months

Yes it was just a correction so expect that bitcoin's price will soar high and will break another all time high. Possible that it can go up higher than $2,700 and it will break the wall of $3,000 soon. So for you guys, don't panic it was just a correction so that the whales can still buy at lower price so be patient.

I think that is really the price where we will see a $3000, it dumped a a big price now so I think it will be staying low for a while now, maybe giving chances to other people who are not able to take their money to investing on bitcoin.

This dump wasn't big. A big dump takes you half way down the slope and we've just backtracked to prices from yesterday. Considering that this trend started weeks ago and a long time uptrend has its roots in the $300s, we're far from slowing down or crashing. When we go sub $1000, that will be a real crash and possible end of uptrend.

And possible to get back with the crash since the year is far from over and I expect a lot of good new sprouting before the year ends which will fuel the hike on Bitcoin's price. Also it will be a good thing that Bitcoin would dump, but not so much, so that others who missed can join in and buy some coins then await for the rising of price again in this year. $3000 is probable this year and will reach it and maybe greater than $3000. 2017 really is a great year for Bitcoin.

People who missed the train always talk like that and then don't buy when it's going back, waiting for lower and lower prices. I've seen that when it kept testing new lows in 2016. If people really wanted to buy back they would, but they didn't at $600, then, $500, then $400 and people finally started waking up sub $300.
What if it crashed to $1000 now, would you buy or wait for lower lows? That's what's wrong with people, we are greedy.

I couldn't agree more, 2017 is turning out to be massive for Bitcoin and I will urge all to join us invest but I wouldn't wait for a dump like you suggested before I invest because I don't think there's going to be any major dump per prevailing statistics so in order not to loose out it's better to buy now.

The bitcoin price dumped now and everyone who wants to invest in bitcoin can now buy one, the problem is, will it dump more or will it increase quickly just after it dump. That is what other people are thinking, making them doubt bitcoin and wait for a dump or a goal price maybe to buy.

It seems to be the dump might be over. We ll probably see a few days of consolidation around $2400. After that, the race ll continue.

What s going to happen with major alts is my question? Before when BTC would go up, alts would go into red. Now we have situations where everything goes green, both BTC and alts.

I agree with your first statement, this is just a blip of a crash. As for where alts will go, they tend to only go down when bitcoin shoots up fast but mostly they follow the same route the reason being people buy bitcoin to get into alts thus increasing the value of bitcoin. The only time that is different is when bitcoin shoots up faster than alts people sell alts to get bitcoin but without cashing out.

We have already reached 3,000 dollars last night but the price of bitcoin had fell down at 2,300+$ in the morning. Many are now clamoring as the price had reduced by 1400$ in just one night. But still there are many positive investors who are waiting for the dipping of the price to buy more bitcoins. With this we can expect more for bitcoins that it can hit the 5,000$ price by the end of the year.

i know it would happen, because above $2k the valeu increased too fast to be solid, still if they can hold $2k it's a good new bottom

this is a different increase than the one we had in the past, everything is pumped, because there are simpèly new investors, more money injected in the crypto market

If you were around the previous time when we had a spike like this, you might remember how active this forum were and the optimism we had around here. People were making the same predictions and everything fell flat soon after that. Yes, it is nice when the price goes up like this, but we should know that this is only temporary.

You should not sell your house or use all your saving to buy bitcoins, because you are clouded by dreams of $10 000 bitcoins that might not happen. Stay Calm, step back and think clearly. ^smile^

 ;D Sleeping and waking up is good. I don't agree with the $1 million dollar prediction though. Even at this rate, it can't get up to $1m in 10 years. A time will surely come when the chances of it getting stable will be high than this huge daily increase. Whichever way, we are still going to be far better than where we are now. ;)

We are hoping that is what is going to happen,but at this point of time developers need to address the transaction backlog and the miners fee to confirm the transactions,I'm ok with any method as long as they fix that permanently,this is still bitcoin's biggest drawback.

The price of bitcoin will reached  3000 dollars each bitcoin yesterday.  but it will back again @2000 dollars  plus after few hours . I hope the price of bitcoin will increase again and I think next week the price of bitcoin will reach again at 3000 dollars. I think before the end of this year the  price will be around 3000-4000 dollars . But I hope the price will reach 5000 dolloars. After seeing the price of bitcoin spike at $2,700 and dropped to $2,200 it's giving me a confidence that the price of bitcoin will reach that amount very soon. The correction is on it's way and we are near to see the price get up to $3,000. So for those that are still not yet buying bitcoins, it's now the best time to buy bitcoins if you can.

Its pretty nice to see for what happen yesterday since actually bitcoins has been reach to another breakthrough milestone but the sad happening also it has been dump immediately but bouncing back again and looks like its regaining back to its rythm and continously go to 4000$ mark! It looks like the price $3000 will soon be achieved, perhaps no more than 1 month so we must hold bitcoin, and buy some more. the price has gone up 100% in just 2 weeks and is now stable at $2350.

Many has predicted that by the end of this year the price will be in about 5000 dollars for a bitcoin and a few others are expecting that Russia to support and legalize bitcoin in 2018. After Russia does this the minimum price they suggested for a bitcoin will be at about 10.000 dollars. Seeing the latest trend in price , stable over 2300 from some days now this sounds possible by that time.

Perhaps by the end of the year bitcoin will reach such a mark with constant growth. But if Russia takes bitcoin, then because of the large amount of population, the price will rise fantastically and this will be an excellent news for all users.

I believe that the small decrease in price that we just saw was not some sort of "correction" or similar, I believe someone tried to push us down, they failed.

I'll make a bold prediction:

We won't ever see 1 BTC valued at less than $2000.

What we've learned from the market very recently is that the price has been increased not only through speculation but there's a solid base to stand on.

Every day that passes by now for the last 2-3 weeks I've seen such an increase in bitcoin and crypto awareness. Gone are the endless pictures of food and stupid things on my Facebook feed and instead I'm seeing an increase and interest in crypto. Even the news here in Sweden are covering btc on a daily basis.

The russian government will soon legalize bitcoin, however, they still need time, so, we have to wait. However, with your predictions, it is impossible, the value of bitcoin increases rapidly, but it is currently temporarily stopped and is likely to remain stable. So, $ 5000 at the end of the year, I'm afraid it will not happen.

There is no hindrance of bitcoin to reach at $3000 now because as we can see it in the actual trend on the market, it swings and rise eventually by the day. Even there's a little possibility of fluctuations, but still we find it very progressive as the day went by. Hopefully with that bigger impact to society people will adopt bitcoin around the world soon and that $3000 is not just the price to be reach, because it may be over than $3000 in the future.

There'll be even more legal hurdles for bitcoin to cross as it becomes more profitable and talked about. Wannacry and stuff like darknet payments aren't helping the cause and could cause it to be coloured with a single brush stroke as being a currency used for illegal payments. There is no doubt bitcoin will reach $3000 anytime soon because of its current value right now but for those other prices in 10 years I'm not to sure about that. Current bitcoin holders hope so but for those trading in altcoins are probably furious if btc's price keeps going up. But we'll see in the next few years how much bitcoin will be worth though.

Well it will happen, after these dump, for sure. I am auite shocked these morning seeing the price fall down, I thought it will be a continues pump, but as expected by some traders, it will be still dumping and pumping as normal. So as you've said, it is the chance to buy bitcoin, so buy now, as long as you can, because you may regret it after these week.

In my view bitcoin has got increased chance of reaching $3000 in a very short time period, because right now the dip will bounce back soon crossing the barrier of $3000 and reaching new milestone. Lets hope the price increase and make it worthy more than the current price.

Thats not impossible to happen since early this year the price of bitcoin is really in a nice track. i hope we will continue to see an increase in the development of it because btc is a top performing cryptocurrency and has a good potential. many predicted positive results for the coming years although for now there is no assurance but still its a good motivation for investors.

Good point of  analogy. Of course bticoin price would go up and down as usual. However we will be now base it on its basic amount or price which is the expected price for this year would not go down to less than $2000

It is not impossible for Bitcoin to reach $3000, in fact we don't know it'll reach that price by the end of this month. Who knows right? But one thing is for sure here, Bitcoins price is currently pumping and dumping a little like earlier this morning but it sure will still continue to pump and we might not notice it'll reach $5000 by the end of this year. Hahaha 3000 is a matter of time if not when. I am sure it will happen very soon. However I do have a concern, one Asian country has passed a bill to legalize it, that is Japan. While other is taking a review and may ban it that is India will the absence of country being banned effect Bitcoins, what will happen to your coins? I fell year end should be 5-7k. If all good goes for Bitcoins. Let the party continue.

I think we need to start looking at the % of the up and down swings. As we begin to get higher in price we'll see larger fluctuations in price but the % increases and decreases will, more or less, be the same. I am not sure I would even call this a dump or even a correction. It dropped like $400 in price but it returned to previous day's prices and was like a 13% decrease. Larger than one would like, but not nearly a dump in my books. When you are sitting at $1000 price and it drops $400 that's 40% decrease. That's a lot. Almost wipe the price in half. We are so used to the lower prices.

So, I think as we go up we need to get used to $300 to $400 swings throughout a typical day. Sounds crazy I know, but it's really not that major in regards to %. Once the price gets up over $5k a $400 drop is only like an 8% difference. Above $10k and that's a 4% swing. We need to get used to it and not think every drop is dump and every rise is a pump.

I think those prices are reachable if the demand in the market will be stable and also a lot of progress will be added for bitcoin like the adoption of the countries that already done by Japan and soon the other countries are doing it. If you buy bitcoins at the price of 2000 USD then it is best to hold because the 10000 USD price is coming after the halving event because that will be a very important event.

We can`t predict future price movement based on past price movements.
Use fundamental and technical analysis like all the other traders.

Prognosis that bitcoin by 2020 will exceed the mark of $ 5000 and will be in the range from $ 5000 to $ 11,000 - it's crazy :o, but I think that everything leads to this. ;)

I like your prognosis but also I'd like to ask on what it is based? I agree with you and I'm almost saying the same things to my friends but I want to know what can I say to them if they disagree. The only thing I can say so far is that bitcoin will get more adoption in the future and that's why its price will rise.

Why would we expect bitcoin price will capped at 10000$ .. Yesterday we got big dump with price decreased over 400$  , I don't know what caused this but , I also have high hope btc will pass 5000$ hahaa ...stored decent amount form last month probably I sell it next year for 1000% profit :D

I am wishing the same thing. The bitcoin is being very generous about its market capitalisation. The value is moving towards the expectation of every bitcoin fan. I am saving a little of salary in terms of bitcoin each falling month. This allows me purchase of good amount of bitcoins time to time with different buy prices. I mostly go for buying when the price is less.  The millionaire dream is always keeping me patient and I don't want to sell my bitcoins like ever until it becomes multiple of 10 to 20 thousand dollar/bitcoin. :D

It failed to stay above 2500$ for a longer time, so I do not think it will get to 3000$ any time soon. As for the 10.000$, I think we might get there in about 10 years or more, all of the higher numbers are just funny. 25.000$ is really not reachable and you are talking about 500.000$. Bitcoin already showed us how its price move too fast to higher value so maybe it is not really impossible that it will reach such a higher price just like that in these coming years no one knows what's going to happen so as of now the only thing i can do is to grab some chips and watch how it grows ;D

Every time it has crashed (there have been some pretty substantial crashes in history) it has recovered. Bitcoin can recover from pretty much any price, especially due to the insane news coverage it has been getting recently.

This isn't a crash. Short term pump started around 1600USD and it's still far from coming back to those numbers. This is a small and expectable correction. Watch some yt videos by market traders. When prices were closing to 2200 many of them were saying that it's rising too fast and we can expect a crash at any point and that you shouldn't buy at this prices. We went much beyond what they expected, but fell down fast below 2300 just as expected.

I don't think it'll go back under $2000 at all. Th enext pump will likely to build upon this pump and this is in my opinion just a short term adjustment. It's a good time to load up on cheap coins because i believe the price will go up a lot in a few months time when a new pump is initiated.

We got so damn close to $3000 that i nearly peed my pants but unfortunately we couldn't reach it. We were above halfway through $2000 as well... Long term wise i'm very bullish with bitcoin because i believe in the technology and the idea of bitcoin. When the price reached 1K, they want 2K, and then 3K, too much greed. Couple of days of pumping was enough to take it to $2700, but now it looks like dumping time, $3000 is not going to be achievable at least not by the end of this month. Rubbish. I don't think that the correction will be that deep. In Coinbase, it has come down from $2,800 to $1,900. Now it has started rising again... currently at $2,100. I really doubt whether the rates will again slip below the $2,000 mark. We had a correction, and now it is over.

i think this topic should be speculation section. indeed we've almost reached the $3000 mark but the bubble pops and we are experiencing price correction right so, the price could down as 1700 or it could drop as low as 1400 (my prediction). but this is a good opportunity to buy bitcoin at low price but it's bad for the holders because they lose some profit.

The bitcoin price is the result of allot of factors playing out together, for example the demand and the sellers (the clearest too) but even different financial news and the conditions of countries impact it greatly, very hard to predict the overall direction IMO.

Of a truth I didn't expect this huge drop in price as currently all the altcoins are loosing grand. Bitcoin Is below $2,000 and the hope that it will not fell to $1,300 is not there. I think is as a result of tracer's taking profits and sell of their position because of the decent uncontrollable pump of crypto currencies. As the price is higher more people will look into bitcoin, it will attract more investors and more businesses will accept it. So the price wil be raising faster with bitcoin price being higher. Maybe it will take 6 months for the price to hit 3000$ but It just might take a lot less to hit 4000$.

The pace with which the bitcoin was increasing, it was sure that a dump was near. As it have already happened, the pace have slowed down. We will definitely see $3000 by the end of the year but not soon. Due to speculation and investors, a bubble was created because of which we were seeing a ridiculous increase in price. But now everything is cleared and this is better and much believable appreciation of price.

The bubble popped out and now the price is taking its correction thats why its really hard to presumed that we can able to achieve that price.When i was saying and observing on the price its really quiet amazing but we dont know whats the exchange of that and now the dump has begun and im sure there are some people who lose some money on that one.

In 10 years you may not see bitcoin at all. Let's be not so optimistic, cause of such variant is also possible. I have started to save bitcoins just couple months ago and of course I hope to the price sky rocket. In my country there is no any law project about bitcoins circulation, so, I don't know what is going to be changed after such law will be accepted.

The price has just dropped lower than $2000. It seems that many investors have abandoned bitcoin soon that we expect. I do not care. I still hold my bitcoin and wait for it to reach $10000. This is just a strategy of those who have lots of bitcoins and funds.  They intentionally dump their bitcoin resulting to crash to shaken weak hands.  Then weak hands panic sell and this whales is now happily buying cheaper bitcoin.  There is no reason for bitcoin to crash, the scaling issue has been there even before this price surge.  And there will are lots of good news ahead.

I personally did not expect a correction of over $700 lost from its all time high of$2,791.70
and to be honest  nobody would have predicted it will dip below ~2000 in a short period of time. We might not see $3000 this year

If you have a target of above $10000 then it is good for you because you could see those valuation in a few years and with the activation of segwit the issues we are having at the moment for sending the coins will the settled for the moment and i guess we would see  more investors after that and it could take the price for another rally.

I really hope we get a time machine now. I will take a short visit in 2009 and buy around just 100btc(maybe I can become that first person to start its demand) and then will traved around 10years forward than now. hope I will not change my timeline and if I do I will be facing  the Dhaka. ;D but atleast 100btc will be there for me.

I think $ 3000 it's quite possible, and we might even reach the mark of the five thousand, as you said. However, I don't think we would stay in that range for long. Slow confirmations and high rates are a real problem, and this becomes more present when the number of transactions in the network becomes higher.
One thing is certain, once this is resolved, $ 3000 will be a thing of the past.

i think some exchanges  the price of bitcoin already crossed 3000$, while in Preev.com its price crosses 2700 USD level, and then the price lowered to 2000, but i think the price of bitcoin was just taking correction and hope that very soon it is going to regain its position and this time hope that it will cross 3000 USD level very soon.

You can ask these again, we can't stop someone from dumping there bitcoins with that price, that is undeniably obvious, everyone will do that. I think these is the part where the coach of a team to regroup and make another play.

Bitcoin is a long term game - it will increase in value as more people come into the space but I think its utility will decline since the price of  transferring it is so high and it will become a 'store' of value.

Korea's exchange are trading like 53% premium above bitstamp when btc is 2800. Since then bitcoin in korea has fallen from , 4,899,000 KRW to 2,500,000 KRW at the time of writing which is equal to a 40% drop. Theoretically, if Bitcoin has to go to 4k, price in korea should surge above 4899000 first coz it is the leader this time but I cannot see how a market dropped 40% from it's high can rise to the new high for the short term. The conclusion is altcoin and bitcoin topped at the same time and everyone are still very bullish even they see the drop.....I think it will only drive the price lower and lower until their hope vanishes. FYI, btc coin topped in January when bitcoin in china has a 10% premium above us. History repeating.

We are probably heading into a short Bull market soon. If you just bought Bitcoins just hold steady and DON'T SELL if it goes down. That's a quick way to lose money.  ;D

For those who have missed out I'm guessing now and for the next few weeks will be a good time to buy BTC.

It is not about having a panic sell off,we are seeing this rally for a very long time and expect these sort of corrections once in a while and it does not mean it is the end of the road,the market needs a correction for the next rally and hope to gather some coins when the next rally starts.

A year ago, I would have never bet that the bitcoin price will reach these levels, but fortunately I was wrong and the $3000 mark seems an imminent reality. That is why I have learned to have an open mind and accept that all those "unrealistic" scenarios are perfectly possible in this bitcoin world. Meanwhile I can only be congruent with my thoughts and persist in holding​ my coins.

Country in asia is currently a major factor against the current rise in bitcoin prices. But they have not stated fully about the use of bitcoin, the price increase for a few weeks does come from here. But there has been a decrease of some time yesterday and now the trend of bitcoin increase again become positive. This must be maintained, there should be clarity of use of bitcoin in other countries.

The price is holding and I think their is a support group. I'm monitoring Kraken and the last 6 activity is all "Buy" so its looks like the dumping is over and time to buy bitcoin again. Let's just wait and see how strong is the support maybe give it another 1 - 3 days. If the support is strong then we are going to see another price surge and can probably touch the new mental barrier - $3000.

People should just make it move a step-by-step IMO, we should already rejouice at the current rise from ~$600 to ~$2500, I don't know how long the upward price will move or if there are crashes, but I generally guess it will be around ~$2000 at the end of the year.

The price chart now is like the chart back in 2013 and if we continue to observe the chart then we can see a big dump back in that year and i think it is good to just buy few bitcoins and don't go all in because if you will go all in then you already lose the game. Have you seen the price of bitcoin lately. You can follow it on coinmarket cap and you will know that the dump was so little duration and now bitcoin is increasing again. It is already near 240$ and heading again towards 3000$. I think there are so many users of bitcoins that as soon as someone dumps low, they are ready to buy back. Bitcoin now can never be below 2000$ and by the year end may be 5000$.

Literally bitcoin has already achieved $3000 levels if you are a generous trader and will be ready to accept +/- 5% approximations. Moreover world wide many local exchanges did reach up to $3500 levels too.

I am not finding all the bitcoin holders were selling as down fall was triggered by big whales and continued by few panic traders. But we are back to up surge already, hence we do not need to worry much. Yes, we are going to reach $3000 levels very soon, may be within 3 remaining days of May month itself too.

Even though the price was in a resistance right now and drop in a certain large amount of about $700 dollar the price still manage to cling to the $2000 mark value and right now the value is still strong and keeping up, and I am trusting bitcoin to reach the $3000 mark value any time soon, well all other of your value speculation are sure reachable but just like you have said it would take time to fully develop that maturity in the value.

Honestly, I expected this pump to stall somewhere around $2000 and didn't expect it to even jump through that mark, anyway the price is now at the $2800 the last time I checked so the $3000 isn't an impossible feat now.
The other predictions are hard to tell, if the market kept going as it is, then it would be achieved easily but if it doesn't then I'm not too sure.

Didn't you notice that the price drop from $2700 value to $1900 because of panic selling of most people? because as of now the price is clinging to $2197.13 and if we are not expecting some dumping and panic selling just like what we have seen last week then we are in for some big cash in because bitcoins gonna lift up to a considerable price right now!

For now I think the rise is over. And that is totally ok.
Let's consolidate for a while after the crazy ride of the last few weeks.
Maybe we see another anticipated rise in july due to SegWit activation in august. This however could mean a dump afterwards, if we reach highs of $3000 to $5000, due to hard fork risks by Jihan, Ver and Co.And of course traders will take profits then.
If the price decreases until august, we may see a rise after SegWit activation in august.
So these are two scenarios I can think of at the moment.

No matter how tempting the higher price is, if you really believe in the full potential of Bitcoin, you'll keep holding your coins no matter what. If you are tempted to cash out anyway, then it should be done in smaller fractions. Especially when the market is going totally nuts as has been the case lately. People cash out at $1700, and the price goes up. People cash out at $2000, and the price goes up, etc. If you sell in smaller fractions, you will be able to benefit from the constantly higher price. If you cash out everything at once, and the price goes up, tell me, how will you feel. ;)

Looks like the price has stabilized and is staying within a narrow band for now, the next pump will definitely put it over 3000 though. I think that will happen in june or july, anything too fast like before will just result in a big crash again.

Before reaching $3,000, the $2,800 resistance must first be broken and then anything is possible after that. Even experts are saying that this temporary retreat will not last long and the year-end prediction still stands at $6,000. We are not even halfway through the year and so much has already happened, especially that better than expected acceptance rate in Japan and Korea. I think the price of bitcoin will reach again $3000 after few weeks and or months because halving is near and the price for sure increase. In last few week we experience the hiking price of bitcoin at the same time the fees on every transaction and confirmation is becoming slow. But despite the increasing of its price I didn't reach 3000 usd per bitcoin. However it is not too late to lose hope there still a time inorder for bitcon to reach that amount.

It seem bulls are resting for now.  But there are still good news coming.  I wonder how will bitcoin react if the smart contract for bitcoin is successfully updated.  Would it create another batch of bulls in steroid and break $3000?  I think there is a possibility but if this current drop and consolidation is played by whales then I believe this will not cause any effect at all.  So I guess $3000 will be seen at the end of the year.

I felt disappointed when the price wasn't able to get up to $3,000 but still I know that there will be a chance that it is possible to get up. But be ready once the price was already at that price, the fees will increase too. Base on what I observed, upon using blockchain.info the fees last time was about only 0.0002 BTC but now it went up to 0.0006BTC this is their recommended fee.

If the price of bitcoin goes higher in future then people won't mind in paying higher fees as no one wants to keep on waiting too long to see transaction to get confirmed and in that case people will be willing to pay higher fees irrespective of the price of bitcoins.

We are all optimistic that it can reach $3000 but the question is when. Currently, the price is slowly gaining at $2300 after the dumping and correction happened. The beauty of bitcoin is that it can recovered its price after a huge fall out. If you look at the post ETF in March, it went down to sub $1000 but after just one month the price goes up again to a new ATH. Japan and China are two countries that is really backing the bitcoin ecosystem so that's a factor for seeing the price of bitcoin rising up again in the near future, and sure, we can all be positive about that.

I don't think that the price will go any low to $2000 even if something worse happens. Right now I don't find any specific reason for price dumps by the falling months. Hope we're getting closer to $2500 and soon might reach the expected $3000 as it's not very far.

I think you are very demanding and conscious for bitcoin price. But instead of it your guess are right. But only 2017 i think it is hard for bitcoin to come at $5000, may be bitcoin will be end in 2017 at $3000 to $3500. But the next year definitely bitcoin would be come at $5000 and after 2 to 3 years bitcoin would be reached at $10000. These prices are looking very good and motivation.

I agree with you that Bitcoin sure is beauitful in it's own way. However I can't really agree that China are backing BTC. Time and time again it seems that China as a gov. is trying to stop BTC by making it harder to obtain and run businesses with it. If you talk about the people of those countries then sure, they are true supporters but that's not really surprising considering the amount of censorship when it comes to their own freedom.

3000USD is not impossible, even a few weeks ago we had believed there would be an increase in 3000USD. But it stops at 2800USD, until the bitcoin price drops back to 2000USD. Now the price is starting to rise again, has reached 2400USD and will continue to increase with a positive movement.

My guess is 2150. Bitcoin is in a bit of weak position right now. According to coinmarketcap, the Bitcoin dominance in crypto-currency sector has been reduced to less than 45% (two months back, it was 80%). Ether has crossed the $20 billion market cap, and even other cryptos are putting up serious competition.

IMO since the recent drop after a major rise (from 2400 to 2000 then back to the historical high), the bitcoin will have to go up 2700 and down to 2300 in order to go up the 3000 more easily, that trend has been the same like bitcoin reaching 700 back in the early 2017 or late 2016.

Many people are getting excited about the upcoming price after the correction,  it is rising though there might be another panic after these price correction and may cause a dump. Many people are getting their predictions to what may happen these August and also planning what to do, we just hope it will not be a dump.

No one knows what will happen, but to be on the safe side, you just need to hold your coins offline, in case a chain split becomes reality. Selling them is pointless in my eyes as you will miss out if there happen to be a real Bitcoin (the one with the majority of the support), and the alt-Bitcoin a.k.a the altcoin (the one with the lowest support). Or if you don't want to deal with this situation at all, you can use certain altcoins to hedge Bitcoin (least recommended option). Or... This was a mandatory step for bitcoin to increase and move forward to it's previous ATH.
Now all we need or hope for is that the bull market keeps going on. In stock world there is a saying. Sell in may and return in september. If this applies for bitcoin, the moment could be lost.

After a quick dip down to $2k and some trades below it we are finally back above $2500. Steadily trading at these levels are proof of $3k being close.. very close.

I predict that after $3k anything could happen. $5k, $10k, who knows. Could take a dump down to $1k as well, we just never know. That's the beauty of it though. I'll believe that we are closer to $50k than $50.

First let us cross the three thousand dollar value and dream and talk about the resistance at $4900 level,the valuation looks like a possibility but how long does it take to reach those values is to be seen with time and no one could predict those values.

As it has always happened back then, it's gonna crash seriously after every steep rise. Let's just prepare for that now so we can buy back immediately. $4k can wait till the next halving.

It's possible that we could reach $3000 this year. We've reach over $2700 last month so $3000 is reachable for this year. We still have 6 months left.

For me, since my realistic price $2k has been broke. My new realistic price now is $5000. That is possible because of growing community. Many people are adopting bitcoin nowadays. If ever $5000 will break again soon, I can say $10k is very possible to reach.

Reaching $3000 soon is not impossible to be achieved but we will go through a lot of amazing challenges which can color our lives befor that dream will become a reality. Just like what happened from the past history of $2000 everyone always hopes for this price and many speculations about positive visions of bitcoin price. So that's it were now at $2000 reality and it's curently struggling to rise to $3000 which is very difficult for now due to expensive price value for buying.

I agree, till now bitcoin community is getting big and by that process the demand of bitcoin is increasing too. Hence, I think thatvis the reason why the price is increasing. Reaching 3000 $ per bitcoin is possible especially now because day by day our community is getting large. Aside from that it will continue grow if another country will legalize it in thier transaction.

New bullish trend is forming right now. There will be further gains soon. Support is still strong around $2300.
When we will break and close above $2500 it might be a sign of further gains - most likely bitcoin will retest $2680 barrier.

Well,I do agree with you ,with this pace bitcoin will soon be an Amazing Place to invest in for literally every one as they will come to know more about it and mostly if anyone invests now in bitcoin,that particular person depends on his investment can become really rich in the future just because of  the Amazing increasing rate of bitcoin.

A lot of people are very excited and optimistic right now so $3000 is an easy target, don't forget that the market heavily relies on the emotions of the people. However if there were to be a sell off at some point it would only be a good opportunity for me to buy more since I'm going long on bitcoin.

I have a feeling that $3000 will be reach before this third quarter ends. And if pushed hard even before this semester ends.  There is RSK for bitcoin and this should push bitcoin to another milestone, and the hype of Australia removing tax and accepting Bitcoin.  The lights on the scaling issue, this is all contribute to bitcoin hype.

Yes because many are speculating that the price can fly up again to the moon which is everyone is expecting to happen. I'm hoping that these panic sellers will give a way to the price to reach it first at $3k so that we'll see another ATH before this year ends. And I don't want to miss that chance and action of getting some profit.

You are guys have high positive thoughts but for now we can not imagine that the price can be reach $5,000 because the price movement right now is slow and i think before we can see that amount it needs a lot of good news before $5k value can be reach.. much more possibility maybe in 2019 it can be reach if the price of bitcoin continues to increase..

No. The dumping is already completed and we are seeing a steady rise again. This is good though because the dump is short lived and now the price is going up again with no sign of another crash. We all hope that the trend will continue so that we can see $3000 in the next coming months. I'm very positive that we can hit it before the end of the year.

Definitely will reach $3000, $10,000 will most likely hit next year unless their is some catastrophic issue with the transition to segwit. Segwit will most likely signal the cross over the $5,000 mark.

Well now it seems we will already reach it within a week if not already today or tomorrow. Nearly everyone seems to either underestimate how rapidly the price goes up or underestimates it. For me its great when I underestimate because then I get really excited when it goes up faster.

With this momentum going 4000-5000 this year isn't a dream anymore.

And right now we have hit the milestone of $100B dollars market cap of all cryptocurrencies thanks to Bitcoin because if there was no Bitcoin then none of these alts would've existed, $46B is for BTC and the rest is for alts. price was rising steadily but for now is around $2800-$2830 and yet another ATH has been reached.
However I wonder what happens when Chinese start dumping, people will look at it as a crash and inexperienced investors will dump theirs and hopefully we'll go to sub $2000 for a few weeks so us poor people have the courage and ability to buy back.
When I think about it I just pray and wish for a hard crash wtf $2800 is extremely over our heads to even think about.

Every day bitcoins price really surprise me and I though it will stay to its stable price for this moment but my prediction is little wrong since the surge surprisingly go ups and maybe by this month we can actually see that the price of bitcoins touchdown to 3000$ or even more this event is totally good thing since we can even earn more money from this positive happenings.

Dont think about a fall back, as long the demand is high do not worry about panic selling,im sure all bitcoin holders will drive the price to reached 5000$ before they sell all thier bitcoins.

If we had said this a year before,people would have laughed at us.But now today,if bitcoin increases in price with this speed,it would not be difficult to reach such prices.Only one or two years may vary.

For now i believe theirs no holding of price will be happening unto it since many people who are on battle mode to monitor the price of bitcoins and provably some of those guys are preparing theirselves to sell their coins if they can see some bad movements but hopefully it will not affect to the price and will still rise even if their are people who starting to sell their hodl coins.

I'd say that once we reach $3,000 A lot more people would HODL their coins, not sell them. The reason being could be that once we are above $3,000 there's no telling how far we can actually go. $5,000 could come in a week, without a doubt in my mind. I see no reason for anyone holding the price down at that point either. What happens next is that some countries could possibly start using BTC instead of FIAT. One could always dream but yeah. This month will definitely be one of the most important ones in recent memory due to the fact that we could just explode at any given second.

Yea bitcoin is approaching 3000$ a lot faster than I expected. We might see another small correction back to the 2300$ range within a week or so. But long term buying now is still a a good investment.

Some predictions from couple of months before said that price is going to be 3000$ by the end of the year and we almost seen that value today. Why not, 5000$ is reachable till the end of the year. 10,25,50 000$ I don`t know, sound to good to be truth but I would definitely like  that to happened because I am always saving some amounts.

yes you are right bitcoin is very close to 3000$ and i hope in the coming weeks it will be above that amount because the investors have increased and i think many people are adopting bitcoin which are the reason of the high price of bitcoin, so for good profit i have invested money in bitcoin and holded it so when the price will become i can make profit.

Its impossible to keep up with bitcoin sometimes. The problem though is that it can't go up forever, eventually what comes up must come down and there will have to be some major correction probably once we get to 5000$ before bitcoin can resume its normal growth path.

to me I did not check the other exchanges price, but in preev.com the price of bitcoin was trading above 2860, may be in other exchanges the price is more near to touch 3000$. however I am pretty confident that this time the price of bitcoin is going to hit 5000 USD level very soon, because there are so many good news to hear about bitcoin in near future, which will really boost the price of bitcoin more and more.

I also agree that with the bullish trend of bitcoin, there is no doubt that Bitcoin is reaching $3000 soon.  With the upcoming Australia acceptance and several Big companies in Japan that will soon join the Bitcoin blockchain, Bitcoin will definitely increase in value.

Just yesterday the price of bitcoin was about to reach to $3000 but it then again start to fluctuate to lower and now when it start again to up level then it is sure tat its price will cross $3000 and it will not take much time that we will wait for the end of the year but within a week or two we will see the price at $3000.

If it's really that hard for you to believe that Ripple has a $29 billion market cap, how difficult will it be for you to swallow the fact that MalCoin has a market cap of $35 billion?
