Title: Bittrex reduced functionality! ...next Cryptsy?
Post by: Priceslide on May 25, 2017, 05:09:53 PM
Over the last 2 months Bittrex has been removing functionality from their website. They removed the "distribution" tab which was awesome for seeing the largest 50 balances on the exchange. They have now reduced the visible order book to 100 asks and 100 buys, basically making the order book invisible.

Reduced functionality was the first sign of Cryptsy going under. I've started to move all of my coins from Bittrex to Poloniex, Coinbase, and offline!

Any thoughts, explanation? I can't get anyone at Bittrex to respond to the reduced functionality question. Seems like this scam site is going under :(

I joined recently so do not know if the function you have said has been recovered or has been lost forever. Now I'm trading on Bittrex so pretty confused, whether Bittrex trading floor is safe? I have joined the cryptopia floor, want you give me advice? Thank you very much.

Bittrex itself is a pretty solid trading platform, one that in the recent months has gained an incredible number of users due the incompetence of Poloniex and also the shut down of BTC-E.

In regards to what OP is pointing at, the wealth distribution feature shouldn't be something an exchange should disclose, period. Even not when people are being given the option to allow themselves to pop up in that list or not.

I have never used those features, was not aware either, because I never noticed them. I wonder how it was useful for us users? They are maybe focusing on the user experience and going straight to the point. Those features are futile and I don't see how it can be a red flag about Bittrex. It's not if they removed the withdrawal feature

Currently using Bittrex and am still choosing it over Polo due to its sleek design and fast reponse to its customers. Didn't know there is the top 50 richest balances on that site, and I think that shouldn't be disclosed in any way since it somehow invades some privacy to whoever the owner of that balance is. Also, order books are okay and a hundred listings is still usable on most occassions.

Bittrex do some things I dislike, eg. when I move ETC to them, less gets credited to my Bittrex account than what the blockchain transaction says, yet I don't see a mention of deposit fees.

I'm currently using Bitfinex, Poloniex, and Bittrex for trading; so far Bitfinex is my favorite service because I can store my coin in their lending account and earn while I wait.  Bitfinex is ending support for US customers so I have to consolidate to Bittrex or Poloniex; which sucks.  Poloniex has the better platform in terms of style, usability, and functionality... but I have more confidence in Bittrex's future.  Sucks to make that call but it looks like Bittrex will be winning out.
