We can't even solve a simple issue yet and you expect them to add a decentralized exchange to the code? To me, it is indeed a good idea so we won't have to deal with centralized exchanges which can get closed by the governments at any time. But just because it is a good idea isn't enough nowadays. The opposition will say that their code should be implemented rather than the current devs. So good luck :)

The survey / poll is now finished, thanks for participating.  Results will be posted as part of an open issue on the bitcoin core repository that will discuss this further.
