Title: Beware - Betchain confiscated 5 btc
Post by: dplay on May 27, 2017, 10:59:08 AM
Several weeks ago I made a deposit that included a 50% bonus (the one Betchain sends out via email occasionally on Sundays), played some slots and won 5btc in total. I requested a withdrawal and waited over 2 weeks for it, several times inquiring with support what is the reason for the delay. The only answer they could give is that the payout wasn't cleared by management or something along those lines. Eventually, once I made a complaint over at askgamblers (you can see the complaint here: https://www.askgamblers.com/casino-complaints/casino-delaying-5-btc-payment), Betchain did reply and they stated they were confiscating my winnings along with my deposit quoting "Specifically, not making a deposit without a bonus and a high bonus ratio of over 50%.".

I went to check the casino's terms and conditions page and lo an behold, a sentence appears to have made it's way there: "Making deposits with only bonus promotions without free cash deposits - Customer bonus ratio (deposits : bonuses) is more than 50%.". Now, I've been a player there for quite a long time, made many deposits and withdrawals and I have always been treated fairly right up until this point. Furthermore, if we check the internet archive, (the last snapshot of the site was made somewhere in Feb, link: https://web.archive.org/web/20170221202912/https://www.betchain.com/terms-and-conditions) not surprisingly, there is no mention of the quoted term, it was obviously added some time after that. I was never warned of the changes.

So basically, what the casino does here is entice the player with a deposit bonus offer via email and then they confiscate both the deposit and winnings by including a term that makes the player fallible in case he uses a bonus. I definitely do not believe this to be an honest business practice.

Since when are you not qualified to win a slot prize, if you deposited and received a bonus? Bonus is only relevant for the wagering requirements or if you have opened several accounts = bonus abuse.

If their behaviour is not honest, you can sue them in Curacao!

You can also ask them if they want to join the Game Protect mediation service, because their licensor Antillephone do not regulate anything.

Here is more info about Curacao licenses: Curacao license scam (https://game-protect.com/curacao-license-scam-1668jaz/)

Hi Dusan,
I am sorry for your frustration, but the fact remains that you only deposited on the days with an automatic bonus and your bonus ratio is over 50%, which violates our Terms and Conditions.

We have always overlooked this and paid your winnings, however, our platform provider noticed you have done this at other SoftSwiss casinos and they informed us their decision was to close your account.

Ahahahahah

I definitely do not believe this to be an honest business practice.

What? Casino not being honest? Really? ;D

More seriously sorry for you bro but you can't do shit.
The main idea of a casino is to screw the player. It's true for fiat casinos, it's true for btc casinos.
BUT in the case of btc casino as all of this is more or less illegal and more or less completely shady, they KNOW you will have nothing to fight them back. What are you going to do? Sue them? Lol

So don't deposit much and don't play with anything you don't want to lose. Cause if you win they'll just make it so you don't win anymore ^^

What the hell?

You banned his account because he made a deposit?

OP i would suggest you to open scam accusation ASAP.

Hi,

This player has had almost 50 BTC in withdrawals processed here at BetChain.
Our winners can attest to us not being a scam.
Our platform provider, SoftSwiss, informed us of their decision to close the account due to this type of bonus abuse at their other casinos. We don't have access to their information, so we have to trust what they advise us.

Several weeks ago I made a deposit that included a 50% bonus (the one Betchain sends out via email occasionally on Sundays)

So, you sent him email and invite him to play with bonus, you said to him - USE bonus, and when he did you banned him because he used bonus in some other casino?

That doesn't make any sense to me.

edit*

I've found this at askgamblers:

"...Abusing of the promotion means:
- Making max allowed bets on high variance games in order to increase balance
- Decreasing stake after big hit and switching to low variance game
- Making deposits with only bonus promotions without free cash deposits
- Customer bonus ratio (deposits : bonuses) is more than 50%."

And i see it is in ToS now.

But as i can see here it wasn't:

https://web.archive.org/web/20170221202912/https://www.betchain.com/terms-and-conditions

So you changed ToS after that guy won and asked for withdrawal?

Damn that seriously sucks  :-\

I haven't received anything via email saying anything about that and I have been playing for quite a while on Betchain too and they continue to allow me bonuses and if this is in their terms and service then we should all be informed. Why would we play, donate, and then screw ourselves???

It is the phenomena that is becoming dangerous now, a lot of different casinos are here being accused for different type of frauds. This will be a major problem for bitcoin itself as the biggest industry supporting it is the gambling area. How many honest casinos are left before we see 0 honest casino left for us to play in them ?

You should announce it so that players would really be aware on the changes and would able to avoid further problems ahead that they didnt expect because not all players are always looking up on the ToS anytime which if theres changes then they are not informed.I dont know if there are still betchain players aware on sudden changes.

So then why does the system even allow you to play then ? It should give you a warning or not allow it at all. If you reach 50% the system should automatically inform you that you have maxed out your earnings and ask you to withdraw. You telling me in today's day and age we can run complex software like a blockchain but you cannot program that in ? People shouldn't be able to break any rules the system should stop them. We all know this is a ploy not to payout. It's all it is no matter how you dress it.

Doesn't really matter how they dress it up, I'm sorry for your loss OP. Thanks for sharing with the community though, I hope this acts as a deterrent to other gamblers on this casino. Who knows what bogus small print they'll come up with next time to avoid paying somebody out.

???

They returned his money, just prevented him from further using the casino.

It's perfectly within a casino's right to not serve a player they don't want to, and they have given him the winnings properly.

You're right that the fine print is ridiculous though... Players should only be able to access bonuses to the extent that the casinos T&C allow... If a casino doesn't want people to use more than a certain amount of bonuses, they should stop people from being able to access them.

I think this is the same happen before that there is someone win in bitcoin.ag i think that they change the terms after someone win big amount..
This is not a good business if betchain is a new gambling business or honestly its not so well known gambling site here in forum..
Better to stay away to them.. and report them to scam accusation.. they can do anything they can do because they are the owner of the site.. instead of they will bankrupt their doing everything just to stay alive but they didn't know it can affect their site about this..  spreading this into the internet is the best solution i think..

1) He is able to cheat your system?

2) Betchain.com is owned and operated by Direx N.V. and Direx N.V. is the operator of SoftSwiss. Therefore, no idea what "foreign entity" informed you, because it is the same!

3) If you sent him invitation email to deposit and get a 50% bonus, he did exactly nothing wrong!

4) He abused bonuses at other Direx N.V. casinos, but Direx N.V. did not ban him? Coincidentally, after he won a 5 BTC slot, he gets banned! Proof of his bonus abuse in other Direx N.V. casinos? Of course not!

Casinos shouldn't give bonuses if this is how they act. What's the point of giving out a bonus if you're not going to let the player withdraw their winnings from it? It doesn't matter how the player plays, you should have made sure that you couldn't get taken advantage of when you decided to offer the bonus. If you are going to whine and add stuff in the terms of conditions when someone wins in some particular fashion (because of the bonus), then don't offer a bonus in the first place. Seems pretty simple to me.

Is there any possibillity that betchain do not even know if their admin or anyone send the email to all players that ever registered on their site? Or maybe they doing this intentionally to scam people? In this case OP clicked and win it and they consficated their winning but how about if player lose? They will admit their bonus is for real? Is this migh be possible?

Op sorry for you lost and the scammers casino site should have a change of mind from this evil and greedy practice. I also appreciate op by being able to share this ugly experience with us here, if we learn from the experience of op, those scammers will soon be out of business.

Hi Guys,

While I appreciate everyone's opinions, I feel I need to reiterate the fact that we generously give bonuses to our players. A lot of bonuses. We pay out 1,000s of Bitcoins in wins.

However, for players who abuse the bonuses we have to maintain the industry standard with our T&Cs.

First point is untrue, I've deposited on occasions that don't involve an automatic bonus. 2nd point - you're trying to absolve yourselves of the responsibility to treat players fairly. I've played at other softswiss casinos, yet you've been the only one to steal my money.

You being fair on all but one occasion and scamming on one occasion still makes you a scammer. And again, ask softswiss if any of their (your) casinos has confiscated my cash - no they haven't as they had no reason to, I'm not an abuser.

Hi,
My records show the player won on April 30th and our T&C were updated on April 27th.
I was not in any way informed of the changes in T&Cs. Furthermore, the term pertaining to my case was buried deep in your general t&c, not in the bonus t&c. The term itself is a ridiculous one, if you were regulated by a semi-serious entity you'd never be able to put it up.

The bottom line remains - you snuck a dodgy term deep within your t&c's so that it makes my actions suddenly in breach of it, you had not informed me of such a huge change, then proceeded to mail me a deposit bonus offer and then went on to confiscate both my deposit and my winnings. If that's not a scam I don't know what is.
