Title: FaucetHub vs ePay vs Faucetsystem
Post by: BitcoinzB on May 27, 2017, 12:15:49 PM
Hello everyone,
I've been away from the bitcoin world for some years; I used to run some faucets and to help other people around the world to join the "market" successfully. I'm recently back here and I've been checking out what's new around the faucets world

On my old faucets I used to make direct payments to users every week, but it looks like that's not really the best option anymore due to the high fees and transactions taking a good while to be processed. On the other hand I've seen services of micropayments have been rising
From what I could understand they basically collect the coins from all the faucets you visit (that are using their system/API) and give you more guarantee of not getting scammed off your hardly earned 2 cents - correct me if I'm wrong

Now, in these few days of surfing what I noticed is that there's 3 popular ones in the business right now - FaucetHub, ePay and Faucetsystem

I would love to hear your experience with them, especially from faucet owners (but users input will be welcome too); which one is more popular? which one is overall better than the others?

Also what do you think about a faucet having all 3 kinds of services (or more), if there's not one around already eh..

It has been reported by FaucetHub that Epay is turning into a scam[1][2] and they are currently selling their domain on Auction.

To choose between FaucetHub and FaucetSystem, I'd personally check the stats on how many faucets are running currently in both platforms and how many people they paid etc. and decided based on that info.

In recent days ePay turned into scam, so it's not an option anymore.
Faucethub is the most popular service today. They have good anti-fraud system, additional games, lottery, paid offers and etc. What I like most - they solve all problems very fast. Currently they support bitcoin, doge and litecoin, but soon they will add some more coins.
Faucetsystem is less popular and they only supportbitcoin currency. They have less functions than Faucethub. In general, it's almost a copy of Faucetbox. But so far I can't complain about their service.
Also, you can consider to use Xapo as micropayments proccessor.
It's good when faucets have multiple payout options because users can choose receive coins to their prefered service.

I will definitely avoid ePay and go for Faucethub and Xapo

I'm still thinking to consider direct payment option too, but I'm doubtful about the current transaction fees.. maybe going for weekly pay would be an option to lower them a bit

I'd go with faucethub personally, they have a solid userbase, alot of faucets, and good antibots. Plus the fact that the owner is very active on the forums, and faucethub is overal way more userfriendly then its competitors.

XAPO faucets/wallets are also not that bad, but in no way comparable to the level of faucethub

Issue with XAPO is that they've started charging fees on deposits lower than X (can't remember the number exactly, it can be found on their page)

From me (a user's perspective ), I personally use both faucethub and faucetsystem. If it's in terms of simplicity, I'll better go to faucetsystem while if I do want a site where there are more options of earning that's probably faucethub. I mostly encountered faucets using faucethub than faucetsystem though.

It's quite obvious which one is the best micro payment system...

FaucetSystem is a copy of old FaucetBox.
Epay is having issues, seems they are scamming their users.

FaucetHub.io has active support, extra features which you don't find in another services, trusted owner running projects that never failed since they were created. It's surely the best option.

Totally agree with you.  At the current time, FaucetHub is the best microwallet to use for faucets.  I have joined the FaucetHub when it was started and its more than 6 months now and I never had any issues with payments or any other things and it has so many interesting things for users and faucet owners, they can play, earn and interact with users thats the best thing.  You can directly promote your faucet among users so promoting a faucet is much easier with this and you can get good traffic to you site.  My vote is for FaucetHub.

those fees are only for small on-chain depopsits though. so it doesnt affect faucets that use their api as that is all done off-chain, so no fees.
xapo is also a full bitcoin wallet, so thats an advantage but imo the only downside of xapo is that you need to register and supply id docs etc
