Title: Blockchain Is Pain in A$$ - Help Please
Post by: anthonycamp on May 27, 2017, 02:19:22 PM
Problem started from a month now.

Senerio:

  • I open blockchain.info
  • Proceed to login
  • Enters my wallet identifier and password and click on login.
  • Shit starts to happen , I'm redirected back to blockchain home page.

Tried a million times but also no fruit.

Tried with different browsers , my phone , my desktop still the same.

I have attached the video of my problem , Please refer to it if you didn't get sufficient info from above.

Please help me out ,

No one will open that "video" link of yours, it might be a real video or a malware, not sure, didnt bother checking.

if it happens on multiple environments, chances are
1. Wrong password, you trying to access an account not yours or yours but wrong credentials
2. Your account might be flagged and disabled, not sure if blockchain.info does that

Your only way to resolve, contact blockchain.info

Do we look like we own that web wallet?

Also, this would teach you to use a desktop wallet like electrum or a hardware one if you have many bitcoins.

Cheers!

No , but many people working for blockchain are present on bitcointalk, so thought they might help.

Sorry if I sounded rude earlier on. I should probably give you a psa that developers that work on the actual bitcoin blockchain or bitcoin core desktop wallet are not affilated with blockchain.info, having a similar name does not mean they work on one or the other or both haha. Side note though, they are known for slow responses (blockchain.info). Also I really recommend you getting a desktop wallet.

Once I'm able to login into blockchain , I will surely move all my funds to a desktop wallet. Thanks mate ;)

I have the 20 Word pass phrase but blockchain is asking a 12 word pass phrase. I created wallet back in 2013-14.

After searching Google for a while I got this link https://blockchain.info/wallet/forgot-password where I can enter my pass phrase and blockchain showed my identifier and password. The password and identifier are same as I know . But I'm still unable to login.

I had same issue with them, they are really shit. My information was 100% correct, also confirmed email but again I was redirected back to blockchain. Fix of issue for me was creating new blockchain account and after rhat everything is 100% ok but I don't trust them my funds, well not high amount.
Try to contact them or if you had small amount of btc, better to hang on that situation and learn on lesson.

Try to run their wallet on an smartphone app if you have one. I had some issues before with them and was because my browser wasn't updated tho for me some scripts would crash...

Anyway have you made a backup of your private keys? They let you do that with those random words from which you have access to your coins - if you have this backup you should be able to use your coins without a hustle, you don't even need blockchain.info to send your coins then.

If you have backed up you wallet (done backup funds, and if you have those random words) :  You can generate your private keys with this tool https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html enter your passphrase chose how many letters you have chose bitcoin and it will generate your addresses based on your seed. With this you will get your private keys so that you can sweep/import them to another wallet. For security reasons do it offline etc.

You could also use some other client software that accepts bip44 and use your coins from it.

Yes that will definitely happen, because blockchain.info updated there wallet already to HD wallet with 12  phrases instead the 20 or 15 I guess I dont know the numbers . And what the hell you only remember this time that you have still balance on that shity wallet. Many users on blockchain.info go here with the same problem you had but I dont know if they solved there problem already.

It's working fine for me and it seems like it's working well for other people too. My wallet was created last year so maybe this problem is a result of some sort of bug in their system that prevents old wallet identifiers from logging in?

Also have you contacted their support?

Do you have an email address attached to this block chain account? If yes, then use it to reset your password and try again.
