Bitcoin is correcting and all altcoins are going into the red, not a single one was able to survive. Now it's time to think what alts to pick before they pump again for more BTC profits before everything continues going up.

I was considering LTC, but if BTC finally gets segwit the whole value proposition of LTC vanishes.

Then ETH with its never ending corporate pumps it's a good idea to hold even tho smart contracts are just a meme.

What else is out there?

Even though you got a discount, but the price is still pretty high compared to the pre-bubble era.

how can u define wheather a price of another fiat currency can be high or low?

My advice is to buy Stratis, it will be one of mainstream coins very soon, #12 atm. do your due diligence of course first.

I can't seem to find a single good coin so i will hold BTC until I find a good deal.

Im still looking at ETH and LTC, if they go "too low", I will buy.

I don't want to be stuck holding some shitcoin that gets nowhere.

If you are going to bring an altcoin then explain why we should even bother.

well. I have 5 bit coin. When I looked at the chart, everything was red and the red candles were everywhere. Therefore, I decide to choose 10 random coins which decreased 20% to 30%. Now, I have 6 bitcoin. It is easier than I thought. Buy when people are panic and sell when they feel the victory

Yes I noticed this too, when everything else was a bloodbath WAVES & BLOCK held their value throughout the storm.

What do these things have in common? A major selling point of each one is their decentralised exchange. But it isn't always done with profit, i ever buy coin which was red and i wait to price increase. It never happen indeed that coin becomes dust. I think choose randomly to buy coin should need prediction which one it's gonna up again, moreover if that coin was.red.

what is the general idea of stratis? what is the appeal? im interested in a cheap altcoin.

Stellar dropped 50% because it is highly volatile, just as ripple is. Those 2 are mostly speculation. IMO not worth buying longterm

Stratis is a c# platform upon which companies can build projetcs upon it. Similar to ethereum but with a mroe worldwide spread and known language. Proejcts are built upon sidechains and not mainchain to avoid bloating of the blockchain.
Breeze wallet will be out in June, being a wallet that allows anyone to perform anonymous bitcoin transactions, in the future this will be possible for Stratis too.

Stratis sees itself as a complement and testbed to Bitcoin and not as a competitor.

I'd recommend Ripple and Nem, I'm sure they will bounce back very high when the slump is over and will earn you big percentage in profit.
Nem is already consolidating, but time to buy Ripple is perfect at the moment.

It is really difficult to trust all the ethereum based tokens as you never know what the future holds for them,now everyone is starting a token based on ethereum which is a boost for ETH tokens as people will be using their gas to send all the tokens but i still doubt whether all these tokens are really worth it in the long term and when the price of ETH goes down expect all of these tokens to go down as well which is a shitty situation if you are invested in it.

Yeap I bought more STRATIS in the dip, trying to accumulate slowly with any trading profits from other coins. Also picked up some nxt as we will get free IGNIS token third quarter of 2017 and also etc and eth. I also collect JANUS TOKEN as it is way under priced and undervalued, but that doesn't trade on POLO. I get a dividend every month and they are a token backed by real business and they are building their third business now which is a social fintech site for forex. It should be in beta version mode in the Summer.

I think Waves is gonna be the biggest coin in coming years if they can go efficient.
And I still feel like Monero can get higher price.

Try SC and SYS, they are one of the cheapest coins right now but have a great potential in the future. Make sure that is for a long run and not for a short term only.

Currently the drop is already over, and they are recovering. When in times like this, check the altcoin speculation threads. There are quite a few, where people list coins that they hold, and some even provide reasons why they think, mentioned coins will rise. I would advise you to look into Iconomi and Stratis. But i also think, almost all coins are in the process of rising right now, you can see the graphs on coinmarketcap, all bounced back up, so you can't really pick a wrong coin at this moment.

You can still invest in nice projects to get some profit, such as XtraBytes,ARK,APX or WAVES. I think in some time they will grow and open their potential.

the only problem is that most people are only telling you about the coins which they are bag holding not investing in, meaning they will praise these coins when their prices fall hard so maybe someone falls for it and starts buying them.
it is sometimes good to find out about coins you didn't know about before though.

i like to give a chance too new coin that have good promise, like bitcore, that retain what bitcoin is an dadd what is missed, like segwit and 20 mb block limit, the devs are nice and always active, there is also an aidrop that work like byteball where you can connect your wallet and receive for free bitcore

As the bubble pops out and yes most alts are on red tide as of now and its the best time to buy them. I do only have beliefs on XRP and WAVES which are really good and does have potential and im waiting for a cheaper price before i decide to purchase even more. I will hold as long as i can and for bitcoin i can buy cheaper as of now.

All those "tokens-backed-by-something" coins have always end up in disaster, so im not sure about that.

It looks like all coins are green again today. Alts definitely just follow what bitcoin does, including the top5.

My suggestion was supposed to be ETH but I guess it's out of your list, try Nem too and I think Digibyte has the potential too.

ETH is always a good pick, because Vitalik goes around the world shilling it, getting tons of coporate people with a lot of money to pump involved, then there are all the ETH token ICOs surrounding it which further pump the price.

Ultimately I dont trust ETH at all, but I Just want to make more BTC.

XRP is mostly falling down in price lately, although it does have a big marketcap. Some people say it will grow in price, because this is the only chance for banks to survive. Thus, they are likely to adopt it and support the price. Plus, as there are lots of coins, even if the price slightly grows, it immediately changes the situation. In this way it is good as an investment but I just don't like the whole idea of ripple, so I bought some litecoins when the price dropped to 20 dollars.

Siacoin is pretty cheap right now. You could buy a lot and gold for a while and it could be worth something in a few years.

The coins I am going to buy are Next, Hush and Ark. Maybe stratis when it goes a bit lower.

waves have good market condition finite supply and no inflations.
People will have to buy waves to use it for scam ICOs and legit ICOs.
Sinc ther is no chance to see what is scam what is not we will invest in all : )

ETC has been making strong rallies after every dip.

Markets are choppy right now. After every correction i open long position with "buy dips" strategy.Ethereum and Cryptobit can be perfect example for this type of strategy. We all need to learn how to trade market after  bitcoin's latest big wave. I am going to apply "Buy and hold" strategy for  altcoins. Sit tight and pray for pump :)

I really agree with ETC having continued with the "Code is Law" ethos. Ethereum bailing out the DAO left me shaking my head.

This one maybe has more potential than all together, but it is too long for me to wait few months, i already have many coins on wait. Maybe ETC and ETH can be equal in prices?
This situation caused by Bitcoin is very nice for small earnings, 10%, 20% and i think those are sweetest, they are very easy to predict if you follow Bitcoin movements. This happening daily, LTC vary from 0.01 to 0.11, ETC was even 0.005 now is 0.007. I will wait LISK at 43k and i will sell it at 50k..

Various projects were evaluated and this guy compiled some here which he found to be the worst.

Includes mentions to the Golem (GNT) token, seems like it has no value attached to it, he mentions ICN, MLN, GNO, SingularDTV, Round, DigixDAO.
Just check it if you feel like it matters.

I have equally laid my hands on quite a number of some which has turn out pretty well while some have not live  up to expectation from the options there, my hands is still on ETH and SQL. For ETH, I believe development in that regards is really high and the growth is still happening. SQL on the otherhand is my baby in which I am fully going to believe in no matter what come whether pump or dump.

i think these coins are good coins  to invest they almost too much down
and try to purchase at low trend of market and wait to pick at lower rate.

ETC & ZCL are the two coins which I've kept and still buying more, both can provide good profit in upcoming days.

i still believe the best option beyond btc will be to hold own to eth or ltc and waves if you have them. Putting your money in all this coins which in the end will not generate any good returns is a big worry

Because of Bitcoin Segwit or hard fork chances on 1st of August whole market is red and it is down by almost 100% some are more also and it looks like it will go down more I think it is the best time to invest in long term coins because most of the good coins will go up after the segwit for sure so if you want to invest in any coin for long term invest in that coin at the last week of July you will get good amount of profit from that.
