How long will this phase of cryptomarket last where it is relatively normal to make a 100% ROI monthly?

Still there are some cryptos that could possibly go 20x times... How long will we be able to ride this wave and make profits which are remarkably high? 3 years? 5? 10?

It's hard to say and 3 or 5 years are very long period of time in crypto world. Now it's the time when you should catch this wave and ride on it to take profit. People who are long enough in crypto world now how fast and unexpected things can change so you should act now and not be so focused on future developments.

i personally have no idea about any other currency but i am sure about bitcoin that bitcoin will continue here for a long long time. bitcoin is now becoming our main currency and hope that very soon people will start using bitcoin as for fiat currency, and then there will be mo use of fiat currency n our life.

Another 2 years at least, that's my guess.  I'm sure this latest breakout of mania drew in a few thousand new people into the land of crypto.  Some of them will stick around to support the price, and there are still all the hardcore old timers hanging around.  So it'll last a few more years at a minimum.  The upswings will come and go, just like they always do.  Everyone needs to be prepared for that.

I think, as long as there are new coins being created.  cryptomania will last forever, changing from one coin fever to another coin fever.  And since there is always new coins everyday and some of them is here to stay for a very long time, the cryptomania will keep on going and going endlessly.

This whole thing reminds of the gold rush back in the day. Like we are buying Microsoft and Apple stocks while Jobs and Gates are still pot smoking hippies.

Yes,cryptomania may last for a long time as new coins are being introduced continuosly.But too much scam coins coming nowadays would definitely affect the reputation of crypto market.However,Bitcoin would continue to rule the crypto market as it could not be easily manipulated.As far as bitcoin is considered,though we were not early birds,but still we should make use of the situation and buy more bitcoins to get huge returns in future.

I think cryptomania will be here to stay in the future. Crytocurrencies represent a revolution in the financial system. Its too innovative and has too much potential to die out, not to mention there are several large institutions around the world that are adopting bitcoin or some other altcoin.

They said the same for Stocks in the beginning. Cryptomania will stay and will get bigger and more stable in my opinion.
The more people get involved the more stable the system will get.

If you put it into a compound interest calculator with 1200% annual interest and compound it monthly, you'll find the crypto market cap after 1 year.

Crypto market cap after one year:  $360,829,989,122,048.  More than all the money in the world.

The lesson is, keep safe.  Set conditional sell orders or stop loss, and make sure to take profits regularly.  Don't be caught up in your greed.

At least a few more years. At the moment, most people in the world probably still wouldn't know or understand what Bitcoin is. But recently companies and banks (fintech etc) have begun to take notice. There's so much money in it that I'm sure we have a while before any sort of common adoption or crash  :)

Cryptocurrency is no way like microsoft or apple stocks. Both of them are just controlled by few gigs while most of the Cryptocoins are distributed to people around the globe. Also chance of market manipulation is quite low if you haven't invested in some ponzi/scam coins/tokens so I don't think all this crypto rush will end anytime soon like stock bubble we used to have in past.

it does feel like something that can't be truly defined. some coins are a currency,an assets,a  hobby, a bit of fun.

i think whilst interests rates are low it will thrive but once interests rise the big money will go. it is still very unstable, 30 billion down on market cap in one day is never good.

I don't think it will ever end. If it as only Bitcoin I would say 2-3 years, but there are so many cryptos and such innovation that this might continue until an even better technology comes along or we reach utopia without any currency.
Even in 5-10 years radically new cryptos can come out creating dynamic markets as it is now.

As long as people are concerning about digitizing their financial needs, we can expect crypto related stuff will keep on finding booms. The high returns trend may change in to normal like how stocks and other derivative markets are working right now. Still we can be sure, cryptomania will last and will stay as an attractive investment opportunity compared to other investments.

Am always concerning about how some of them got drop in just a day by those pumper. Most new crypto currencies do raise up to 1000% in just a week and most times got drop in the following week! I think in some years to come let said 3 to 5 years crypto currencies should be able to build it capitalization to the extent that it can not be control by individuals, group and even government.

look back the last 2 years not much price movement, so you could say it has caught up.

but some coins are very overpriced, sia is one, btcd is high and devs moved to kmd.

Cryptomania is here to stay in my opinion. It will bring about a financial revolution to the world and has so much potential in the various financial services it can provide. Technology will only continue to increase and adoption rates of cryptocurrency adoption will only continue to grow. Based on these reasons, I think cryptocurrency is a good investment.

Yeah I think its here to stay. Its like the stock market that never sleeps and is pumped up on crazy drugs

Things are changing rapidly in crypto world, so hard to predict how long it'll continue, as daily we see a new coin with a new concept.

Cryptomania is still in very early phase since most people do not even know about it.
There  are not even any crypto ETFs or funds yet for common people to bug easily .

There are a lot of big changes coming at the end of this year/beginning of next year. That's about as far into the future as we can see currently. There will be massive swings and then things will settle down until the next big blockchain tech comes around or some big news event happens IMO.

Well i don't think we'll really know for sure but with morr people becoming interested and investing in crypto trading, i think we're just at a starting phase here. Crypto trading would probably be here for a long time exceeding the figures you've mentioned

I think this round of bull market will last at least until the end of 2017. For the long term I believe cryptomania will last at least 10 years.

For quite some more time in my opinion. After all, many projects that are out there, don't even have their "thing" (platform, exchange, whatever they are building) finished, so it should rise after the release of a specific project (the price and recognition).
So i think it is going to become more and more popular and mainstream.

As someone who heard about bitcoin a long time ago but only recently invested in coin I hope I didn't miss the train.
I don't think the market is saturated yet but in the age of information sharing that could change in less than a calendar year.

to me as the new trend of the people is toward   crypto currencies therefore in future we can expect that this trend is going to over come the fiat system and after that people are going to use bitcoin and other crypto currencies instead of fiat currency. and therefore we can expect that bitcoin will continue for  long time.

the rug is pulled when people start to get fat and comfortable. they look fat and comfortable from here.

at some point soon anyone with a $250 ether will sit and think 'why is this worth $250?' if there aren't enough buyers who can come up with a reason then the fun is over for now.

I feel like we are just starting that phase.
And we didn't even see peak of that endless rises.
It will definitely last long, like 3 years for altcoins.

in 95% answer is because there is pump and when i buy now i will find next buyer who will pay 2x more.

So in reality in crypto so far only BTC have name of coin that can come back from pump (2013) and grow higher

After BTC there is ETH it gives people opportunity to gamble drams in ICO and bait with magic 10x : ) gain but...
wehn you look at actual use of crypto in real world then all prices are FAR away from use we have now BIG getting mashine and big cassino full of PnD .

It will take not long dot.com we can name x.blockchain this is the same but is unregulated and will blow up market faster. Dot.com took 2 years but in crypo all takes like 10x faster so we will have time to form april-to-august when we will be thrown into bear market we will see true price after party is over.
Actual use justyfi price of BTC ETH rest is pure speculation and gambling right now at this prices.
We will fall in next few months IMO.

You really never know what the future holds but as long as it is fresh and interesting i am all in making a good fortune in trading these coins,only time will tell what the future will be and how long these honey moon period lasts,i really hope that these things continue for a very long period of time until i reach my goals. ;D

btc has lost dominance, the risk is spread, which is good, we all don;t live and breath by the btc price. to keep sustainability we need to be able to use cryptos in the real world to add value.

Good prognosing, I think. Altcoins are still growing although we don't see such big hopps in price anymore. The market depends mostly on us but there are some other factors that may influence the situation. For example, btc hard fork or eth unable to switch to pos. If something like that happens, I guess superbig panic selling will occur and perhaps the market won't recover from it. Especially it is likely to happen if both btc and eth fail.

I think that when segwit passes, all the hype surroung alts will be greatly diminished, but there will remain a few that will keep a decent position in the market, since the technology of some of these cryptos is really difficult to be implemented in Bitcoin.

It depend, some periods it going to slow down, then some periods it will go fast again. Crypto with $100billion market cap is still young, we should seeing this in the trillions!

Maybe we're at the start of it, not many people know cryptoworld, especially alt coins

Cryptos will be around for a very long time.. i think the question will be how many will rise into mainstream and actually affect the world, thats the true question.

If you think, this will somehow end, you will probably miss so many things in the future because neglecting the crypto market. Your consideration could result in a huge regret.

I think only time can answer it, depending on the market stamp if it touches up to $ 1,000,000 or more 8)

Yes I agree with this there is a new coin then it will last longer because coin turns occur with new coins emerging so that it can extend the life of crypto behind all that with the increase also the number of users can influence it.

It is just the beginning. I guess a correction once in a while is realistic. Some will maybe lose half of there value. Only strong projects will survive. It is only a matter of time. The altcoinmarket is unknown by most of the population. Some people did not even hear about Bitcoin yet. Only tech-savy guys know about it. If Ethereum will pass Bitcoin, which will happen, there might be some attention. It's going to take some more time but eventually if you invest in some good projects and keep them you will win for sure.

I think like 1% of the population is familiar with cryptocurrencies..so i think it will last for a while. This is just beggining.

This question doesnt have any answer there 2 things possible either world will accept crypto currency as widely used currrency like each country adopt crypto either own or existing otherwise it will go to starting phase where it started

i love how many people say it will end, but they still hold coins.

a lot of profit is reinvested in cryptos. i like them as for a start to trade on real exchanges is expensive. it is elitist. cryptos are ore easier to trade, lower fees , you move money/value without the government or banks taking a look.

the next big thing will be real world usage, like being able to use bitcoin on ebay etc. there will be a time when growth slows, but this is all still new.

If you ever imagine this will end, you're on the wrong side. Just make yourself a budjet and jump in the train.  ;)

people are greedy though, they want x100 gains every week.

stick money in back get maximum 5% a year, and pay tax on it, even bad coins give you this in a week.

Whilst interest rates are low people will invest elsewhere.

And cryptomania is a strong word. We haven't seen worldwide adoption yet, not even close

it will last a lifetime since everyone is in to it will not die it will only grow bigger and bigger

I think this is relevant and suggest that altcoins will actually hold the majority of the market share in cryptoland.
