Post by: Bambus_7 on May 28, 2017, 06:23:11 PM
Hello,

I'm trying to find some crpytocurrency where maybe I can earn a buck or two. Looking at forums and marketcoincap, my eye caught the attention of Golem.
Where and how can Golem be stored and obtained?

Thank you!

Hi. Golem is amazing project and I think its good idea to invest in it. I bought a lot of them on poloniex.com and you can also store it there. Good luck with your investment.

I wouldn't store them at polo, there are better alternatives.
For example MyEtherWallet (optionally together with a Ledger Nano S (https://ledger.groovehq.com/knowledge_base/topics/how-to-secure-your-eth-tokens-augur-rep-dot-dot-dot-with-your-nano-s) if you store huge amounts/want some additional security).

Its not that safe keep it at poloniex? Really? I guess I will consider moving it to MyEtherWallet... I just create one for Aragon.

its just an exchange so you don't hold the token per se, its theirs. myetherwallet is your best option. you would need to have eth however to send it somewhere.

Well I too have some Golem because I like the concept of lending and using computer power
over the blockchain and this project is in its infancy.

I store Golem on my EXODUS desktop wallet here is the link > https://www.exodus.io/releases/

Insta ICO shit coin. Dump these manipulated crap tokens.

There is more of these distributed computing projects pouring out on this board all of which look like manipulated scams.

These projects sound interesting but will not really get the real world usage to justify so many of them.

same for gns and rls .... i see another few popping up.

How many will there end up being.

How will they fair against centralised services, real super computers, and now apparently quantum computing power you can rent?

All hype and scam. This is the problem when the initial distribution happens in moments to insiders and whales.

Any insta ico is a scam in the making.

Using myetherwallet.com is much more safer to keep it there than to keep it in the exchange site platform.
But of course still the decision is in your hands. Where just giving you an option or view about it.

best choice is www.myetherwallet.com because its client-side, not server-side wallet.

What about stratus though? ICO was $.022 and now is like $4 bucks. Did Sia had an ICO? There's right now, literally, an ICO for AEternity. What do you think of that one? Money can indeed be made.
