Title: I'm sick of localbitcoins sellers! ! !
Post by: respect4trust2017 on May 29, 2017, 02:01:21 PM
I try to buy BTC for 5£ and they asking me ID Selfie with my bank card.
Just read this:
(HSBC ALLOWS CUSTOMERS TO USE SELFIES TO OPEN NEW BANK ACCOUNTS)
 http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/hsbc-customers-open-bank-accounts-selfies-biometrics-security-a7225916.html

And i know that many Banks can open you an account if you send them selfie holding ID or passport.
Black Market Prices:
Your ID in black market costs from 5-30$
Your ID with selfie costs from 100-300$
HSBC Bank account in black market costs about 2000-3000£.

I was thinking that Bitcoin is an anonymous cryptocurrency.
Where do you see here anonymous?

Ok you will say: -Frauds!!!

I can buy BTC from you just for 5£. After 1 or 2 weeks i can buy again for 30£. Later 50£..That's should be the proof that i use my bank. Not ID and Selfie!
Fake ID with another person selfie costs 50-200£, depends on quality. This is not proof that i'm using my bank account.

When i was asked for my ID with selfie i said: -ok no problem! But show me yours first, please.  I don't know who you are. I want to know whom i'm sending my passport. As I understand you are not official agency? Not a company! Not a Bank. So who you are? Black market seller? What are you doing here? Selling Bitcoins or Fishing Passports with selfies???

I have serious question to localbitcoins sellers: -why you asking my ID with selfie?
one seller told me: -if police will make investigation i will show them your selfie.
come on guys! everybody knows police don't even move their ass just for 5£!

Recomendations:

1. Don't send to any one your ID with Selfie!!!
(Later third party can apply for credit/loan, or use your Identity for criminal)
They can open Bank account with your docs, sell drugs and all money will go to this bank account. They even can fund terrorists using your bank account!)

2. If you don't know this person and he asks you for passport with selfie, just write him: F*ck yourself!!! AND LEAVE HIM NEGATIVE FEEDBACK!!!
(Who told you that if the person has 3000 positive feedbacks you can 100% trust him?!?!?!)

ps.: remember, all together we are powerfull !!!

My nick:

Respect4trust,

Great Regards and have a nice day!

Yep, it's stupid to send your ID selfie to random people on the internet, it will most likely end up in the dark market or something. Also when you need to open a bank account, print the docs and go physically to the bank and deliver them there, never send your ID around neither keep a picture of it on your hard drive.

The only way to buy and sell bitcoins anonymously is by meeting with people in real life, everything else is pretty useless if you want privacy.

I think that it depends on your country of residence, or the sellers you are contacting, because I can buy and sell as many Bitcoins as I want without providing any personal information, especially if the seller is of the same country.

But you got all the right to refuse giving away your identity — Bitcoin was made to eliminate trust, and to make peer-to-peer dealings without any middleman.

I never faced this type of problems when selling bitcoins, i think this depends on which country you are or else you were faced to the scam user. But what you did is right because without knowing you cannot give your personal documents to anyone, like what you asked his documents is also right because when he is fearing that if the bitcoins sold to you gets problem then same what if the document what you sent the user does any wrong then you should also have the proof. JUst ignore this type of user and move on to other who are genuine.

do not send your id on internet to random people , they will steal it and use it to scam websites with your identity
