Hey guys it’s ayro.
I’m a proud member of the waves community, and I decided to build this webapp after seeing a lot of searches and topics here on bitcointalk asking for “ICO price”.

A quick intro: WHAT is ICOprice and HOW it works.
ICO price is a new site that you open up when you want to check what was the ico price of a specific crypto token.
Or, you can simply call it the coinmarketcap for every ico price 😉
I’m releasing it today as an alpha MVP (Minimum Viable Product)
What is an ICO?
It’s just like an IPO (Initial Public Offering) but it’s for Crypto coins (Initial Coin Offering).

These are the data you can get at a glance on ICOprice:
- ICOprice (duh!), which is actually a weighted average
- current price (self explanatory)
- ROI: Return on Icoprice aka how many times that token grew in price since the end of the ICO


Notes:

ICO price = Weighted average price from the start to the end of ICO
ROI (Return on ICOprice) = Current Price / ICO Price
Criteria for a coin to be added:
Must be traded on a public exchange that is older than 30 days and with an API available.

In the last few months, I found myself searching for [token name here] ICO price.
Like.. a lot.
And I was not alone.
In every crypto slack, or telegram group that’s a recurring question.

There’s one simple reason why we search for “ICO price”. We look for untapped potential, and ask ourself if it is too late to get on that boat.
Or not.
Where do you get that info? What do you see in the Google SERP?
There is no clear winner.
Sometimes is slack community members (hola yoyoamigo! hey ripto! Hey wolf! …no marousi, not you 😏 )
Sometimes is reddit, or ICO tracking sites but… frankly, they tend to overcomplicate things.
I wanted something as immediate as coinmarketcap.
The faster you give me the info I was looking for, the more likely I will come back over and over.

I saw an opportunity in capturing this natural traffic and delivering the data crypto ethusiast are looking for.

I had to build it, and the name was obvious: ICOprice.
I think there is still space for something like ICOprice.
Especially for something with a minimal user experience in mind-

Now, be warnerd: I’m releasing it unfinished, it’ a scrappy alpha version (I worked on it in the last 10 days)
I’m sure you will find so many broken things and I need your help and suggestions… keep in mind my minimal direction though 🙂

Great work, I'm always wondering the ICO prices, glad to see someone make this.

Can't go wrong on the Waves platform!

I like the concept just have a couple of ideas to share (forgive me if they are stupid!), maybe for some next beta release:

- ICO price is useful but in comparison to what? You should have max-min price after ICO and somehow get in the numbers the total amount of coins to be issued. this will suggest whether the ICO price was more or less than the "fair" price of the project, which at the end gives a more accurate image whether it is an opportunity project or not.
- another valuable info is how much the project managed to get compared to what it asked. this could reflect again the robustness of the project and thus the opportunity it could present.

Would be great if there was a column for the date/date range of the ico and also the price in btc

Thank you! Actually this is the exact direction I want to take with "Token Pages". If you click on a token name you will se a graph called "Ico intelligence". You can see who many people have invested at what price. Currently it's just placeholder data,
of course supply and received funding are important... you can then see if there is a growth opportunity or not


Oh, I didn't think about it.. so this is like kickstarter's data on received funding. This is important. added to the features list ;)

I almost passed this thread but i am happy i did not, your website is very informative but why is it that your front page lists only contains the names of successful ICO, i think that might be misleading and can make a newbie to buy any ICO they come across believing that everything leads to profits.

Try to include some failed ico price and add some adverts on your website.

So, the idea is that for the first few months, ICO listing on icoprice will based on community requests.  Anyway, we are an post-ICO site, and we want crypto communities to get involved. A great community means an healthy ecosystem of holders, traders, developers, content creators... Projects without a Community won't stay long on page one.
