When it started yesterday buy walls on mtgox in amounts in few thousands btc were crashed in seconds. So it was obvious attack of some individuals with very large resources. During normal trade it is never happens that Salomone will sale thousands bitcoins on what ever price any one willing to give.
Bitcoin foundation it is not what makes bitcoins credible, it is network hash rate what does. Title: Re: Any one selling today ??? Post by: subvolatil on May 03, 2013, 08:58:37 AM Well i will tell you what happened . Feathercoin got listed on btc-e.com and the botnet miners that were mining in huge numbers dumped it there for bitcoin and now they are bringing down bitcoin .
Feather con has been there for only weeks and it is doing quite well . i bought like 10000 FTC for like 1 btc. when they were trading it on a google spread sheet. now it like about 250 FTC for 1 BTC. so made a profit heheh Title: Re: Any one selling today ??? As far a bidding system is concerned .. Supply of BTC is very very limited in India so it will only work towards a price hike, or seller monopoly (like in Localbitcoins) if anything. Well there are always stupid people in the world , and stupid people do what stupid does. and no rich brat is gona be able to stop this cryptocurrency force. They can try but they will all fail in the end. The monopoly with the sellers is a big problem. i see that the only way out is to have more influx of bitcoin comming into india. limmit the amount of bitcoin going out and increase the amount coming in . have a system of trust that builds the indian bitcoin community. Profit and earning money is a second objective the first priority for our indian community is it make and increase the proliferation of bitcoin into india. Title: Re: Any one selling today ??? [Purchase Thread India] Post by: legendster on May 04, 2013, 07:19:31 AM We are Indians no one trusts us.. lol even we dont trust ourselves when in comes to money.
Building trust here will be tough but wont be impossible. BTC will have to find world acceptance first and being the kinds of copy cats we are we will follow. But its more interesting if its the other way around.. Like BTC being accepted here first and THEN in the world. I have a few regular business Ideas like Jewelley shops E-Malls etc - that I will discuss openly in the coming weeks. But I have NO capital so I will need to rely heavily on the community members here in this forum so I really dont know how things will turn out. All i know is that if BTC is to be accepted by the common people it has to start big with small time merchants. Title: Re: Any one selling today ??? [Purchase Thread India] Post by: legendster on May 04, 2013, 07:24:04 AM ^This . While short term profitability is the only concern of sellers here , what people fail to see is the bigger picture. With bitcoin becoming mainstream in India , it will be a win-win situation for everyone. And an exchange rate based in India or the one that deals in INR is a likely solution . Exactly. For example if someone can buy coins at $120 today - from an independent seller, AND if the price at gox is $95 They will choose Gox instead of the indie seller. The indie seller has to charge high rates in the beginning to be able to strengthen his capital & the only way he can afford to do transfers at decent rates in the future is by making more profit in the present. but who looks into this 'long term' thing .. even if the buyer knows that the price of BTC will be $200+ in the future the buyer will be concerned with his/her current 'short term profit of $25' ... ;) Talking from live experience. Thanks :-) problem with your approach is that number in INR may be not valid at the moment when you ready to do transaction. right now mtgox is 123 + 10% = 135 usd 135 x 8 btc = 1080 usd 1080usd x 54.1 = 58428 INR so that is the number for the moment but suppose you going to buy tomorrow and mtgox will be 108 then why would you you pay that price. in case if mtgox will be 170, why would I sale on this price. I can sale on mtgox better. so using mtgox plus 10% is good for both for seller and buyer.
