Title: Bitcoins invades the smallest bit
Post by: anneiS_02 on May 31, 2017, 12:56:26 AM
I am from a small island in the Philippines called Marinduque.
It is also called the Heart of the Philippines geodetically.
A friend of mine told me about the bitcoins and I was excited about the convinience of it.
I have searched if there are post of bitcoins here in our province.
The first one was last 2014 of January which is posted by a blogger but I did not know if anyone noticed it.
Some posts in Facebook pages but no one responds to it.
Any suggestion to make it spread more ?

The best type of marketing is the word of mouth. If you want to spread in your city the word of bitcoin, you should go to local merchants and friends, explain them what bitcoin is, and what are the multiple advantages of using bitcoin that make it a currency to be invested for the future.

I learned that Bitcoin is relatively large in the Philippines (or I think it is), and you even have services like https://coins.ph that allows you to recharge mobile phones and pay bills with Bitcon. Show this to the people of your city and they will make sure to accept it. Only you can do that!

You will just have to wait for that.
The truth is, it is not that easy to make them believe there is something more about bitcoin.
The bad part also is that Filipinos are getting tired when they here the word "investment".
So think of another way to introduce it.
Let them see another side of it which is the money transfer type. One more is that they could pay bills or transact a prepaid load using the application Coins.ph with a 5% rebate in every transaction.
Then the rest will follow. They will see how their capital is increasing with every movement in bitcoin price.

Well I do agree, some filipinos do get tired easily when they dont get much in return as soon as possible .
And I think that one of the factors is that there are lot of online marketing going around today.
I think some thinks that its just a waste of time.

Well I am also new in this . I am just starting to figure out how my coins.ph will work :)

That's true, Mostly of Filipinos doesn't give a d/s on investment because they will think that their money and time will just go to waste, and another reason is because a lot of scams reported about online investment.

I hope many Filipinos will be educated about bitcoin.

start by learning more about bitcoin yourself and then start teaching the people around you. the better you know bitcoin, the easier you can explain it to others.
and you have any kind of business then accepting bitcoin in it can help a lot more than you may think. just put up a QR code and a sign saying bitcoin is accepted here and see the results.

take a look at your own signature and you will find out!
bitcoin is allowing you to create a crappy service like that and use it to earn money easily and safe without needing to worry about all the scams that happen with credit cards and other payment methods.
and everyone knows bitcoin. if you were using some shitcoin nobody would have even heard of it.

Frankly I don't give two shits about the Phillipines, but how can anyone, anywhere in the world, look at where bitcoin has gone in the last year and NOT see how they could profit from it?  You don't need to take out a huge advertisement, you just need a pair of functioning eyes and a sober mind.  Do you guys possess those attributes over there?  I think probably some of you do.  And I don't know anything about your economy, but if you were in some hyperinflationary crisis, then you'd really see bitcoin's potential.  Like over in Argentina or one of them places.

I think it is better to just launch a seminar from the different part of your place so you can have a real audience unlike in social medias that it is not sure if you are getting attention then if you launch a seminar then try to show some demonstration for bitcoin by sending them some free bitcoin and show them how to grow it and i think it is enough for them to get interested in bitcoin.

Bitcoin is already huge in the philippines, the site coins.ph is using bitcoin to rapidely take away market share from traditional remittance companies like western union and money gram. Additionally the central bank has already set standards that exchanges must abide by to operate in the country.

I don't think you will need to spread it more because that will happen automatically, otherwise your best bet is to direct people to other local bitcoin related services like coins.ph

The best thing to make famouse Bitcoin in your local is to have your own blog for the information regarding about Bitcoin  .
And clearly mention the country from where you belong in the blog , so that everyone can get confidence that they can make a big earnings and information about the Bitcoin .
In this way you can make famouse the Bitcoin in your country .
Second way to make Bitcoin famouse in your local , is to have a Bitcoin group in every platform like Facebook , snapchat , WhatsApp , we chat , telegram etc .
In this way if the local friends will join you and will use Bitcoin more and more , And for all this you will be responsible for them to enter in such things of making money with Bitcoin .

If you do not want to be attacked by a large bitcoin you have to go to local merchants and friends, explain what bitcoin is, and what advantages multiply using bitcoin which makes it the currency to be invested for the future.

Start talking with people about it, go talk to shop owners and see if they have anything that they are willing or able to do to spread it, and just communicate with other people if you want to see it grow sometime in the near future. It really is as simple as that.
I know that there were some people that had started to get interested in Bitcoin a year or so ago when I talked to them about it, but I have no idea if it went anywhere for them. I should ask.

Education is the best method and this can only be done if you go door to door and tell people about Bitcoin. Some people make pamphlets with the most basic advantages of using Bitcoin as a payment option and distribute it to people. <Postboxes>

My friends and I approached the merchants where we wanted to spend bitcoins and they accepted it, now we are buying food and electronic gizmos at these shops. < One of my favorite shops is a local Gadget/Spy shop in the area >

In the Philippines, there are already many people who are into Bitcoin but am not so familiar with a local scene right there in your place. Most of the people who are "investing and trading" in and with Bitcoin are usually sharing their ideas and experiences in Facebook groups and chats.

I think it would take some time for Bitcoin to come to the grassroots of our society though I would say that the interest is there and its potential to get linked with tourism is good...hope there would be stakeholders to exploit the market for tourism that embed Bitcoin in their programs.

Welcome to the Forum, I am from the Philippines too, I think you don't need to be so excited, but I know that it is a good investment asset and can give our countrymen some profits. Here in our country, mostly people are not believing when you tell them that it is a great currency, they will just say it is a scam, they're not that open minded making it hard for us to explain, I did it here in our place but it it did not work. If you want to spread it more, you can try posting on social medias, try to talk it with your friends, maybe it will work out.

Welcome Kabayan.

I like your enthusiasm regarding bitcoin. Yeah I was excited when I was started with bitcoin as well. If you haven't found anything about bitcoin in your province, then why don't you start in yourself? Be the pioneer in Marinduque and try to spread in out and by no time bitcoin will be huge there. We have our local board here, I think someone has already posted it so just try to "lurk" in there so grasp how bitcoin scene is in the Philippines. For starters, you can used our local exchangers, coins.ph to avail of their service of converting your bitcoin->PHP if you needed it. There is also a sub-board of coins.ph just explore it to learn more about the services they offered. Goodluck to your journey.

First try to learn basics of bitcoin such as how it works, its price history and future developments to come.Better start yourself in indulging in bitcoin and atleast earn a little bit. Then start to explain in your friends circle about  bitcoin and your achievement. When they see that you have achieved something, they will get some hope and they will start showing interest in bitcoin.Unless you achieve some thing,it will be very hard to convince them. Its from my experience im saying this.

You can start spreading the word. Tell your friends and family about bitcoin. How easy it is to paywith bitcoins and how secure and fast they are. Tell them about the recent news of bitcoins. The rise of the value and make them feel interested. In the end, they will start spreading the words.
