Ethereum is getting bigger and better each and every day, The market cap reached nearly $20 billion and the trading volumes are now higher than bitcoin's.

we known that, but does ETH have practical use like bitcoin? not yet right, and it's not good to me until i can use for something that is not pump and dump, the marketcap is big because ETH has more supply than bitcoin, people don't remember this, but they are not comparable

People are pumpin it cuz it seems like ETH has good support, but remember most alts (bitcoin included) is just a big bubble. ETH has a good use of the blockchain tech in general and with most of ICOs starting there but I don't like ETH much for some reason.


It could hit 1k$ within a year or 2 if it continues to grow (depends if some whale, big player dumps a lot), will wait and see but everything looks good. It may dump till like 150$ at this point but not less from my opinion.

True. But even myself wants an alternative for this slow and high fee bitcoin for now. Not saying that Eth is completely a good alt though. Just last night five times I failed my transaction despite paying higher gas already.

Ethereum is big but I dout that it can be as same as bitcoin because the people only want bitcoin as a top crypto on this planet

thanks to you now we have all learned that the meaning of "a cryptocurrency is becoming better" is "its price has gone up a lot and i made a lot of profit". i think we should inform the developers of all altcoins to stop trying to improve their altcoin now and start pumping it to make it "better"

and by your definition, you are right "ethereum is getting better". but also there are a lot of other altcoins that have been pretty much better than it!!!

AS if now its not predictable compare last 2 weeks price comparison it was gone upto 170$ and today its price 235 > i think there is lots of big players playing behind this lets wait for next one month then we will have clear picture

That is good and every body know about that, the trading volumes are now higher than bitcoin's, so today is good for long time positions on trading altcoins in ethereum because the trend up is strong can be increasing again more than price right now, i think ethereum has chance to become the new bitcoins the reasons for it, we can makes program on ethereum's blockchain in my analisys fundamental of ethereum.

Ethereum is the one cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin that i truly believe is 100 percent safe and will show really good growth rates.the only problem is its acceptance is less than Bitcoin right now.

ETH is not going to be used  in real life and the rise in value now is due to all the ETH based ICO .  I find it strange that people still have faith in ETH foundation despite the fact that alot of money was lost in DAO

Ethereum is getting bigger because of the technology behind its, smart contract. The whole programmers in the world appreciate how's​ this technology can be useful for any fields. And also, the fastest transactions and lower fees (gas price) make it the best bitcoin substitute.
But for now, I think it's not the time yet to replace bitcoin as the main crypto currency.

What are your reasons for not liking ETH, if you don't mind sharing?, maybe you might show us something we didn't see on ETH at all

not offence to vitalik he is amazing smart dude re. eth/crypto and what have you, his team i assume are 'good' but no idea.  the price increase has been AMAZING tho, holding/selling bit by bit has been nice.

BUT eth as not an actual useable token/coin and all the POSSIBLE uses for it don't justify this price, right now it just usual bot pumping whales and hteir speculation and play of ETH driving the market.  if it dumps, don't come crying lol.

you want to see REAL use coming soon with amazing tech, WBB (DLS) will be it.  OH and real biz money ;)

ETH can be bigger than BTC, just give it time, For example, BTC is  8years old now, and ETH is relatively younger than BTC(3years I think). How much was the worth of BTC when it was 3 years?  $10.50 to $15.25

You are right bitcoin is the most popular and most known cryptocurrency but day by day the awareness about cryptocurrencies and altcoins is increasing. There are many people who want to invest their money to a crypto money or who want to use crypto money for their jobs or for just buying something. Bitcoin has many problems and this situation it seems will not change in the near future.

I think the most important thing about any currency or tradable good is its utility.   Already ethereum has potentially more utility than bitcoin because of its speed and the smart contracts.  Already we are seeing all kinds of assets represented by Ethereum tokens,  And Ethereum is currently much faster than bitcoin.
The bitcoin brand is great, but that's like saying tcp/ip is a great brand for the internet.    No body cares about how it works (outside of the cryptoworld), they just care that it works and they want it fast.  

Today I learned something, here in Chile I can buy eth directly in CLP, but if I want to convert eth to CLP, then I have to sell them in the exchange market ..... there is no exist yet LOL!

Yes and i was actually surprised on how its price increased. Also it is nearing btc in the market cap. Damn i think the fact that vitalyk's face was already revealed  made even the eth famous because of how young he is and obviously investors would think in the long run eth has more future. I think we can technically he is the richest cryptocurrency holder because them he is now worth millions of dollars.

It might take longer though, and will inevitably fall back some after each rise... but long-term I think ETH is the closest thing to guaranteed success you can get in crypto. Look at what's happening with the EEA, everyone is jumping in. Plus many good new projects such as Aragon using the platform. And on top of that there's still the SEC question. Everyone is taking notice.

Surely it's only a matter of time before ETH overtakes BTC.

The Ethereum is currently being pump unnecessarily and that is why you are seeing it's volume and market capitalization been high. Just as it happened to ripple last two weeks when the trading volume was higher than ethereum and even close to bitcoin.

It could well be in a pump, and must fall back at some point. But I think there's natural growth there as well.

ETH and LTC are the best altcoins right now and will be to invest in if you dont want to go for BTC. I dont think they will never cross the value or the popularity of the BTC but they are the best alternative right now.

ETH is getting big in China and around the world because of the multi use platform and many ICOS and companies are using ETHEREUM as the platform to propel their businesses. There will be others coming like ARDOR and STRATIS also so there will be plenty of choices in the future.

Ethereum is the best altcoin but it is not a right choice if you want to earn money because ethreum marketcap is now equal to half of bitcoin. Try to buy litecoin, litecoin price and marketcap are still low and it will increase more in the future

I agree the price might be a bit exaggerated. Other coins are not recovering from the fall of price as fast as ethereum does. But I think it is wrong to compare it with ripple which has a lot in capitalization not because of its quality but because of crazy quantity. Ethereum might drop a bit but I don't think it will drop a lot. If nothing code related happens, of course.

Lets not exaggerate 10k may be possible but we are very far away from it so while I would like for that to happen it is simply too soon to think it is going to happen any time soon, it is better to have realistic expectations.

If only eth the higher price is not possible eth will exceed the bitcoin price.
May be momentary eth price up but still going back down. But for other coins is eth is superior

That's ture. it takes more than 8 years for BTC to be $20, while it is only 2 years for ETH. However, BTC is the pioneer of crypto currencies that we should remember. :D :)

Smart contracts will take bitcoin down. If Toyota or other leading company officially announce that they will use smart contracts, ethereum goes to the moon!

Unfortunately, nearly all announcements utilizing the Ethereum platform involves it being used in a private blockchain. I do agree that these announcements are useful for deceiving people into thinking this should affect the public chain and sometimes increases  the price.

This does not necessarily signs that ETH is better, since bitcoin was the firs crypto currency is is to e expected the path was harder a the beginning for bitcoin and as altcoins have gained acceptation then their prices are able to move faster than bitcoin in the beginning stages of bitcoin life.

When Bitcoin overcome this phase of uncertainty, I think ETH can go really low. But it would not be good for crypto in general... there is a lot of money and people involved at this point.

Ethereum coin as of now decreasing price so its better to buy ethereum now because after few months for sure the price will increase more. And for sure you will earn a lot of profit. Ethereum coin I hope will reach 1000 dollars befor end of this year 2017 . Buy more ethereum coin and hold it. More investor will come to the ethereum so  price will recover again. Ethereum for sure is the next bitcoin..
