We are a small team that have decided to take guardianship over the KAT (Katz) coin. CryptoCoderz is helping us with it and he’s tending to the code and the wallets. There will not be any big changes really, because everything is working just fine. We only updated a small section of the code to make it compatible with newer compilers, this doesn’t change anything as far as forking or anything like that. We have a new Windows wallet NOW and Linux and Mac wallets are on the ”to do list”. And yes the logo has been slightly changed, we decided to use a different looking cat, not to run into any copyright infringement problems further down the line. Hope you like the way our new cat looks :D

We are looking far in to the future when making our plans, but sometimes it’s better not to reveal all plans completely, before they are more solid and mature enough to stand on their own. What we can share with you for the moment is that all standard procedures such as listing on other trading platforms, apart from Yobit.net where it is being traded already, are being planned and of course the coin needs a solid purpose, not being ”just” an alt-coin for trading. We already have something particular in mind, but this idea requires much more planning and time and who knows, might change and morph during the creative process, so more on that when we know more ourselves.

This coin is amazing for staking, first year you stake 50% every month on the coins that you keep in the wallet, so keep your coins ;) Also we are thinking about a CAP at 2 billion coins, not to have the coin spill over, but this is not urgent and will be done later, atm (June 1, 2017) there are about 11.6 million coins in circulation.
Any suggestions, please post them here in this thread so we can take them in for consideration. Apart from that you will find all available information about the KAT (Katz) coin below.

Yes this is a re-launch, as it says above we have taken over the guardinaship of the coin.
At the moment there are aprox 10 mil coins already in circulation.

There is no bounty planned my friend. We had to buy our own coins. Staking is 50% first year so this is a pretty good bounty :D

Every dev has their own ideas and plans and alt coins are just in their infant stages.
Much will happen over the years to come and I definately would want to be on-board.

I like this coin for few different reasons, but only time will tell how well it can develop.

Very good idea with relaunching of coin. I like the idea of high pos staking, it makes it worth grabbing some to save for later. Hope project goes very well good new team behind it and community as well. :)

There is currently a great ecosystem going on with CryptoCoderz, cryptoinfo.net, and the Coins/Chains with their own respective cultures...such as Espers. I'd say there is some Brand-value that  is being built here, too, and that will be a key takeaway in the future when you have an Investor looking for differentiating factors that exist within the Crypto Market.

Great work, and I hope for the best with Katz - there definitely is support out there for this and other Coins/Chains CryptoCoderz is involved with.

I feel like I can say this with certainty because I have no affiliation, and came upon this thought from my own exposure and diligence to all the noise out there currently in the Market.

Hey friend thanks for sharing your thoughts. The way we see it is that we are to begin with taking guardianship over this coin providing/paying for a block explorer and have updated the windows wallet. The rest is up to God... we have some outline but we don't feel we have any obligation to share more that we already did. Forgive us if you haven't been given the answer you wanted. The coin is pretty steady as it is on it's own and has been operating on Yobit for a couple of years by now. Staking is working very well and the algo is just fab, please don't hesitate to try it out if you feel this is something that you would like to do.

Maybe you should run a few bounty campaigns to build up this coin popularity.

I think that you can download the wallet from the original thread or you will need to compile it from source.

You don't need to have your wallet open for 30 days in order to get reward.
After depositing your coins in to your wallet simply turn it off and start wallet again before 30 days period runs out in order to get your stake.

Stake will mature in 30 days in this period you don't have to keep your wallet on all the time.
Start your wallet before due date to receive your stake.

Hi guys... so sorry for not up-dating you for a long time! It has been a turbulent time for us :)
so happy though, to see that you are still hanging in here and having faith.

Back then when we where having our eyes on a specific exchange and just about to list katz there, this exchange went in to a complete overhaul. This threw us off the tracks a bit and then life got a fair chunk from us to. So slowly getting back on track now, Gomez108 will get back to you with some tech info within the coming three weeks.

Meanwhile we would like to ask the community to suggest to us different exchanges that we could consider, obviosly not Cryptopia where the fee is half a million dollars, but affordable new exchanges we might not yet know about. We see this must be the next step and we need to look around and find what suits us best in balance with an affordable fee. So please send your suggestions we would greately appreciate it and thanks again for your solid support.

unfortunately as with many coins it gets listed to die. it is a coin toss if they will be honest or not. this coin wallet there is on seems perma maintenance. and the octa exchange is gone.
