Title: Why does core keep giving me a used address when i ask for a new ?

Ok so i am going into file/receiving address/New.  every time it gives me a used address, i want brand new addresses, how to i get these ?

When was the last time you unlocked your wallet? If you have requested more addresses than there are in the keypool since you last unlocked the wallet, it will not be able to refill the keypool with new addresses. By default the keypool contains 100 addresses.

that worked thanks, how many does it create at a time then?  so is it another 100 now ?

By default, 100. You can change it by putting keypool=<Number of address>.

Yes. Bitcoin Core tries to maintain 100 addresses all the time and it will do so whenever you do anything with the wallet provided that it is unlocked.
