It's more profitable to crash from a higher price. I wouldn't be surprised if repeated pumping and dumping by the bots was responsible for the recent bubble. BTC was likely pumped/dumped through jan and feb until it finally caught the attention of new speculators who carried it to unsustainable heights.
Stop blaming the bots. If anything, they are failing to keep the price up. Let it fall. Look at all the orders below $70. That's where the demand is. But what really matters is the live and historical trading price not volume of orders on the order book. Money talks, and the message today and for the foreseeable future is clear: sell.
