In my opinion bitcoin will hit 4k usd, but will take a bit long maybe a year or 2
whats your thoughts or side on this matter?

Why do you think that? That would be highly inconsistent with how it has behaved in the past. I would predict roughly $5k in the next couple months and then back down to $1500 or so over the next year.

I really think we will have a lot of support from the Korean, Japan, and Australia market with the movement of bitcoin and I think it will happen in the first of July because bitcoin will be fully approve by the government of Australia, we will have a lot of support from this markets and if we will not see some greediness with the selling and converting of many users that out of emotion they are surely want to earn with bitcoin that fast we can really see not just $4000 but $5000 dollar at the end of the year.

I don't know if you are aware that there was a sudden dump last week that plunges the price to at low as $1800. But since then it was recovered with a price of $2300. So you see, the price of bitcoin is unpredictable. I think we should first target a realistic price here, which is $3000. It could be hit this year, or maybe in the next couple of months. I'm very optimistic that we can touch that price easily because the trend looks like going upward now. If we don't have any negative news that will impact the price, then $3000 can hit. So maybe before the end of the year we can see $4000.

See today's price it has increased by like 200$ within 12 hours. The price isn't stable at all and is growing at a really high rate and also getting dumped with a big difference. If tgis growth continues for a week without any drop bitcoin will reach 3k in a month , if the price drops again it will be hard to predict

why do "you" think that?
there simply isn't any reason for such a big rise in such a short time as there isn't any reason for such a huge drop to $1500!!! in a much shorter time.

and you are forgetting that as price rises the resistance level comes higher. and that means when price goes below certain levels, many people will sell their kidneys to buy bitcoin and that will prevent price from such drastic drops.

Maybe we should wait what will happen after August 1 before we start speculating again on the price of bitcoin. It is really an important junction right now that can crash or flourish bitcoin's price.

I feel this will get closer. May be less than 1 year because of the active bitcoin movement. We need to see how the market today has a very high increase of bitcoin demand. Most  people are in need and use bitcoin in everyday life.

I think each new ATH seems to take "reasonable" price opinions up a notch. Just last month bookies were offering even odds for/against BTC breaking the 2,000 barrier this year. And just in January people were hoping for 1,000 stability.

I still think, given the volatility we've had, the insecurities of the scaling solution and always that possibility of some massive predictable yet unforeseen event of Mt Gox proportions... I'm still thinking anywhere near 1,000 is a reasonable price.

$4k is really possible for bitcoin in the future. Remember Russia and more countries will try to consider bitcoin in the future. And it can bring a good sentiment for the bitcoin market. The people FOMO bitcoin and try to push the demand every time.

That's a good sign for us.

4,000 USD will be reached for just a couple of months. We should take note on what will happen on July first. Yes, Australia will deem bitcoin as a currency and will be accepting them on that point onward. Let's just think what happened when Japan started accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment. Bitcoin began pumping and doubled within a couple of months. With Australia next in line, $4k is a piece of cake within months.

I don't think so. There are some pretty interesting news piled up for us, scaling solution with deadline in August.
Australia adoption, positive reaction to bitcoin in Russia an galloping adoption to mention a few.

Obviously, bitcoin will hit the mark of 4000$ ,but taking time to hit the mark of 4000$ cannot be predicted, as there are ups and lows in the price rate of bitcoin of late and there is a high possibility of bitcoin reaching 4000$  or more than that before 2018 and the price may even exceed 4000$ ,again as I said price change in bitcoin cannot be predicted,let's hope for the best!

I think Bitcoin does not need a year or two to hit 4k USD.  With the upcoming adoption of bitcoin in Australia, the price will certainly increase since citizen of it will definitely join the bitcoin economy.  Plus the fact that Australia will not tax the buy and sell of Bitcoin, this will encourage their company and citizen to participate in bitcoin economy.

There is nothing specific in your prediction. Most users believe that this is gonna happen, as the growth rate is quite good than the past as more Countries are into the legalizing activities as well in making use of bitcoin technology to make the financial ecosystem in a perfect and function efficient.

It's not that Im being too optimistic here about bitcoin price but I sees 2 years is too much long period for that $4,000 price to happened. I have reason to believe on that. First, no doubt that aside from the positive news we had this past months or years that bring big impact to the bitcoin price, there will be more expected this upcoming months so possibility we can see another ATH day by day that will established just within on short period of time.

Look at how bitcoin price passed $2,000 level in just a matter of short period of time. So $4,000 will not take too much time to reached.

You are wrong to think there is no reason for a sharp rise and fall. This is how retail Bitcoin investors behave. They very easily jump on board with buying and selling manias. We have seen this happen with Bitcoin over and over again, many times, and to an even larger degree than what we've seen so far recently.

$4K next year or the next next year is a possiblity, what happened last week is a very dissapointing, though I am ecpecting that. With the UASF this upcoming August, a big dump is expected especially by the people who don't want what will happen and what they are hearing. I think it will dump below $900 guys, what do you think?

Yes bitcoin will hit 4k usd but no knows when it will happen.all those you have read and heard all of them are only speculation/guess. If you think bitcoin will  hit 4k usd you better start saving some bitcoins.

Everyone coming late into bitcoin have high expectations that the price of bitcoin will double from this valuation and so is the case with you,i am not at predicting the exact price but if the forward momentum continues likes this then we would see those values pretty soon rather than waiting for two years.

It is common mistake for newbies.They want to grab every single pip from market,that is the only reason how big sharks survive in this deep volatile "see"..They create good liquidity for short selling(for investors) and dump money cant be competitive with smart money.After hearing that latest uptrend from news they jump in hype train without even analyzing . Think much about received wisdom because by the time you receive it, it's too late. BOOM! ::)

Despite all the pessimism that prevailed after the halving of last year, when nothing significant happened on that specific day, the price of bitcoin has surpassed even the most optimistic forecasts. It is true that we can not sing victory over the possibility of skyrocketing, but everyone has been able to see that in the volatile world of the cryptocurrencies everything is possible and therefore, those previously unimaginated scenarios of bitcoin at $3000, $5000 or even $10000 may be just a matter of time.

It will depend on the outcome of the Segwit debate and the blockchain debate if we can resolve then it will be a lot sooner.
If we are unable to and see a fraction then combined they could hit the scenario but as individual coins not for a few more years.

In my opinion the bitcoin will increase in the near future and it will use it in any kind of transaction like in paying bills, shopping in online market and many more. Lastly, I hope that bitcoin will rapidly increase but I think it will a bit long time.

In my opinion that bitcoin will increase its price in the near future and you can use it different transaction.Im glad that bitcoin will continue to its increasing in price and i hope that all store in world will accept bitcoin as payment of their costumer.

In my own opinion the price of bitcoin will rapidly increase day by day and you can use it in different kind of transaction. Also some bank will accept bitcoin as deposit of their client and costumer. I hope the price of bitcoin will increase in the near future and I would accept as payment in all commercial establishment especially convenience store.

That is if Segwit will win the debate. Let's consider the fact that there is another side other than segwit which is Bitcoin Unlimited. Let us assume that it won by consensus months from now and it is the one implemented, not segwit. I think that if that happens we might not see 4000 USD even if it is 2 years from now. You are right though that if segwit win, there is a probability of bitcoin reaching the said price soon.

If you mean that bitcoin will reach that price but to be able to hold it, I don’t see why bitcoin should not reach that price in this year, if segwit finally gets approved I think a tsunami of confidence and investments will come and with it, I think, reaching that price will not be hard in the other hand if segwit is not approved I think we are going to see a decrease in price.
