Why only one altcoin spread your investment! there are a lot of good coins in the market don't just settle for one coin and it will not take you a hard decision to do because you have coinmarketcap preferable is bitconnectcoin and Xaurum of course ethereum and monero should be in your short list.

Golem Brass is being released this summer, and I speculate the price will increase substantially during the summer.

I wouldn't put 1 BTC into it though. Look into other coins as well.
Nexus (NXS) has huge potential and is greatly undervalued. They've partnered with Vector Space Systems with the aim of broadcasting their blockchain through satellites, without relying on existing underlying infrastructure (the Internet), coin has seen exponential growth since January.
Other potential options (imo) include Siacoin, Dogecoin (gonna get SegWit soon), XEM, Stratis.

ETH has made some good returns but we'll see if that remains the case.  I would go for it though, people who dont know much about various cryptos tend to go for bitcoin or ethereum so there is always room to grow plus faith in bitcoin hasnt been the strongest these days.
I also like bitbay. Pretty undervalued and could be a major platform some day.

Simple advice for you, read some books join an altcoin group and clear your mind before too late. One altcoin for 3 months is very bad decision, no chance to win bro. But one coin for couple years that's wonderful. This is long time period not for 3 months and win, that's a joke bro. Take your btc and leave the market as soon as possible. Have a nice day.

because this is altcoin market you are talking about not bitcoin and in it anything can go wrong in 3 months, specially because we are in the after party of the recent pumps. and if anything the chance of a widespread dumping is much higher.
besides if you want big profit then take it daily or at least in shorter period of time. it may sound harder but it actually can be much safer. you invest and dump as fast as possible to take the profit and run :)

Anyways i recommend buying Ethereum classic, i think it is extremely undervalued against Ethereum being less than 9% of Ethereum's value. I wouldn't be surprised if in a few months it'll be more like 20% of eth's value.

I will put 1/3 in Ripple and 1/3 in ethereum, and 1/3 in an ICO. I love etherum. Invest in leading market and I strongly believe ethereum will grow bigger than BTC. Ethereum is more than a cryptocurrency. It's a platform where developers build on top of it, similar to how Google works.

If you are really serious then I will suggest you to invest in those altcoin which have much stability and  more secure and there is no chance to run away .
So my advice for you to invest in the ETH , ETC , DASH , Ripple  like coins . You can see the price of the etc is changed into 16 times more and about same thing happened with the other dash like coins , so my suggestion for you to hold these coins .
After the hold of these coins wait until the price get rise , if the price get down then don't get panic and don't get fear and sell .
Here after the investment you need to wait and should have patience until your investment results into profit .
Investment in multiple coins made the investment less risky so don't invest in the particular altcoin .

I will give a suggestion to put your amount on the various baskets but too late for you to think about invest your money in this time. Just waiting for another correction in the future and you can try buy a lot of them. I will vote ethereum, bitcoin, waves, aragon and gnosis. All of them have good development.

My, suggestion is put it in your wallet for 3months. maybe it will double your money by that time. I prefer not to invest in any altcoins not unless day trading, but you can invest it also in ETH.

I would suggest to go with at least 3 coins and not just one, because the risk would be too high if you go with just one alt.
But in any case, the best alts to go with would be Ripple, Nem and Decred. High on marketcap, tested, strong support and obviously they have bright future ahead(at least in short terms).

Definitely agree on Ripple and an ICO, as long as you RESEARCH the ICO before investing. There are a few sites out there that will rank the ICOs which can be helpful for a quick overview, but definitely research these as it could take more than 3 months to get your ROI.
 
I'm a huge fan of BGD right now instead of ETH. ETH is too volatile currently and DGB has a few large updates within the next 2 months. It'll be exciting to see where it goes.

I like the idea but for me i will make a half to be kept inside my wallet then the other half will be split between xrp and waves i seen good potentials coming from this two project but to be safe just in case shit happen btc will carry over loses and you will still in the profitable side.

I would say if you want to baghold a coin for 3 months you're better off holding it for a longer period altogether. From my experience if you want any sort of decent profit from already existent altcoins you need to wait for the pump cycle to come by, which usually happens once every half-year or a year depending on the specific altcoin. For example dogecoin went up drastically in price this month but seemed to be dying a year ago.

I think that Waves and Lbry credits are extremely under appreciated right now. They should have a lot of potential.

Here anyone can suggest you anycoin that is profitable in his view but here every coin whether is altcoin or Bitcoin has no particular definite amount of the price to increase or down , or we may say that no one can predict that whether a particular coin may rise or down with the time .

To be honest, 1 btc isn't that much these days.  I'm a gambler, so I would put it on the Wagerr ICO, which I have invested in.  At 5 cents a piece,  it's worth the gamble. 

IMO: Golem (GNT), Aragon (ANT), Siacoins (SC)

Blocknet or Shift. They both rose quite a bit and yet I still think they're incredibly undervalued. Especially Blocknet, it should be $200 million cap at least given the endless use cases and the Waves market cap. Shift probably $30-40 million cap since it's more niche, but if it's more user friendly than Maidsafe, you can bet it'll go to $100 million at least.

I agree with most of your coin assessments, Cryptohunter, but I would completely disagree with BitBay being a good choice.

DZ is a genius, sure, but it seems he can't work as a team player, a one man band isnt going to achieve much and I also think Devs should focus on dev and not also become the Marketer/Seller/Financer/CEO/Co-ordinator etc etc... I think his genius may actually be his weakness. did you know he was an actor and some kind of chess champ too? quite the character. but re, Bay...

also having tried to install BitBay and found it clunky, overbearing on the puter, and generally a pain in the ass, I wonder if it isnt a case of being in love with the product more than being considerate of the needs of the real user experience. If it was online accessible like ebay, and fast to access then great, but it isnt, it is basically a massive downloadable bloatware experience. Genius, sure, but the average user wont care.

also , since I seem to be Bay bashing, have you read through the fascinating posts relating to early BitBay and DZ and the dudes he fell out with until he managed to take back command and bring it to what it is today. It makes for some great reading and insight into the 'behind the scenes' of money-men vrs Devs and how those two things can drive, or crash, a coin/idea. Not sure why they posted all the commentary between DZ and themselves thinking it would make DZ look bad, as it makes them look a lot worse, but it is one other reason I personally would not tout BitBay as anything more than the project of a genius, in love with his own product, too heavily invested in it to rethink what it actually needs, unable to work with proper marketing people or money men or in fact anyone from what I can tell, thus being surrounded only by fans who tell him how amazing he is. All that looks towards a bad end result for a business, methinks.

For stable coin, you could try ETH and if you are lucky you can get profit from there. For an alternative you could try Invest on ICO but it has bigger risk than trading so choose wisely.

Good advise, but I think it is profitable to hold it for few months, I have a good feeling with ETH update anytime soon. From time to time, ETH will up and down but hold for a little while, you might get surprise with the surge.  :D

That's a good diversified investment. Investing into altcoins is a good go, but bitcoin gives far better profiting. So it's the right way to divide partially and hold bitcoin and for the rest making an investment into waves. You could also place a small investment on ICO.

Looking at coinmarketcap, i'd say lisk is heavily undervalued. It's a smart contract platform with sidechains. No ideea where they are with development. Also another one interesting is waves, supports smart contracts and has it's own licensed fully compliant decentralized exchange which supports euro and usd. I tested it out of curiosity yesterday. Liquidity is decent, first order got filled in under 30seconds and the second in about 1-2 minutes.

It's important to look for projects where their token is at the center of it and it's actually needed to use the platform. That way you know that specific token you buy has real usage. Also, do not invest in these projects that are pure wannabe currencies and have nothing else going for themselves, they can't go far in 2017. I wouldn't touch a crypto that can only be used as "currency" like ltc, dash, monero, and others unless i knew a pump would follow. Same for XRP, xrp has no real usage since banks do not buy it ( using ripple's ledger only requires one to have something like 25xrp or so ).

And ofcourse, the safest bet for now is ETH. For the next few months i wouldn't put a dime into BTC. Risky because of the unknown path forward.

use your 0.3 to buy xrp, dgb, and etc and save it for 3 months, don't sell it if its not reach high price. you can save the rest of your bitcoin in your wallet and i am sure that in 3 months later, you can make big profit for your bitcoin itself and if the altcoin that i suggested is going to increase, you can make another profit for you. but its only an advice from me and the other members and you need to do some research before you want to buy altcoin and make an order buy with careful.

Try trading into different alts as waiting 3 months just for max returns would be foolish, but increasing your portfolio by trading different coins is smart. I saw today that many coins on Polo including DGB got pumped, and most of them had their wallets disabled and I have got an insider information that when such wallets are disabled, pumpers pump those coins because they don't have the fear of getting themselves dumped due to deposits being completely banned at that time. If you are a long-term speculation, I would say NXC is the best coin you should put your 1 btc bet at, because its market cap is nothing and has great potential to rise in price very soon once they launch the game and it will be launching next month itself.

Ripple is not even true crypto. Ethereum is centrally controller smart contract platform and bad payment method. There is an problem with ETH it can be bottle necked easily.
So far ETH is relatively stable because it has user base many times smaller that bitcoin has. Just wait when ETH network will be congested, it will happen soon.
ICO investing can be good - the problem is that it also can go terribly wrong. I wouldn't recommend any newbie to invest in ICOs.

With all the fluctuations going on in the BTC market it would be better if you hold that BTC right now. If you invest in 1 altcoin and if that drops then it will be a huge loss for you, If you really wanna invest in altcoins then spread it across at least 4-5 altcoins.

You should invest in multiple alts rather than in just one alts to get maximum out of your investment. Few of my suggestions are LUN, NXT, LISK and ETC and I am also holding them for atleast 1 year.

My bet will be Litecoin if you are looking at 3 month only. The founder sometimes come out with news unexpectedly and pump the price.

Agreed, Altcoin seems really wild this time and sometimes the price are crashed so take a look at these coins and make sure you won't do wrong action. But, one or two coins seems really stable this time like ICONOMI where stay on 49 - 51k satoshi so you can use this chance.

Just go with eth this is next to bitcoin or if you want buy monero.

Stratis for long term. Should go easily over 20 soon with an open end. I love the fact that it is proof of stake, no machine mining needed. You put them in you wallet and let them create
new stratis. Yes I know not many but you dont waste electricity, because you only have to be online and not use the full capacity of your machine. There are so many
big advantages, but you can also read in the stratis thread. its very big here.

Siacoin is also very interesting and not very long listed, an aspect I also often look to.

waves is good for 3 month.it's can be 10$ up.

if you have a 1btc try to divide it into two, one is for a long term investment and the other half will be in the short term . try to invest it in eth and other alt coin that has a good market value because it is proven for years that it can be reliable, and the other half will be distributed for the new coins . but for me just hold it for awhile bitcoin will be more huge.

The best advice anyone can give you is: Diversify

Most alt coins grow more in percentage than the major ones (BTC, ETH, XRP, LTC, etc).

Always remember that Blockchain is the great invention, not Bitcoin

Search for innovative, disruptive projects using blockchain technology. And never take advice for a specific coin, remember, you paid nothing for that advice in the first place.

 

One bitcoin isn't much these days.  Find and research one ICO you really like and let it ride.  You might end up with an Ethereum. 

I think ANT and STRAT is a good choice, for next 3 month they would have a great pump :)

I agree for Trst, this coin has a lot of potential and its market cap is still low.

Anyway I would suggest you to invest into a project for more than 3 months. I would suggest to do this :
- Keep a part of your BTC (like 0.4 btc)
- Buy maybe one or 2 Eth
- Find 2 alts which seems promising. One could be Trst, Wave... Maybe try to find a promising ICO

Don't forget to link your BTC address to a byteball wallet to get a few bytes. You will not get that much with 1 BTC but that's better than nothing  ;)

I am invested in xem, you can try that too but it will take longer than 3 months before you can realize some good profit. It is mot hype so the growth is all generic and they have active development and the devs are really good. I think this coin have great future.

its a good suggestion. i think for keeping your btc, you can increase like 0.5 btc, so you can use 0.5 btc to buy like what you suggest. buying eth is good but i think its really too high for now and i think you need to wait until the price is down. the other investments that you can buy is xrp, dgb and waves but you can find other altcoin for the investment.

I know you said you already invested in ARK but I would argue that you should diversify a little. Keep 33% in BTC for a stable growth and for the option to invest in ICOs and other new interesting coins. Put 33% into ARK like you have and the rest another coin. Something like TRST, VertCoin, Factom, Decred, Waves, HUSH, DGB, etc. This gives you a better chance of success while also giving good gains.

Actually it already became 2x. This is much more gaining than I expected in this very short run. I dont know may be I was just lucky... You are hundred percent right about diversification...   But like I said before, I prefer to invest just for one coin for 1 BTC.  I will share the result after three months... thanks again...

I think TRST is the best choice that's more profitable just need 2 month The price increased very well every day. And also i guess TRST will hit 20 satoshi soon.

Waves is good one. In 3 months will be over $10 in and probably gain $10 a month for 10 months. Or any other project that does similar things, like nexus, counterparty, ark. Counterparty will go up when bitcoin transaction fees are cheaper, the rise has already started, it has potential to go ten to thirty times. You could also look into Rise, it is very cheap for what it is planning, in a few months it could be almost where ubiq is now.

I dont know, it look overpriced before launch, besides the supply is huge, but in any case it must be very good information for those who are interested in that especially for the innovative aspect that it represents,

I meant NXT not NXS. Make sure you hold them in your nxt wallet though, they will soon issue ignis tokens. Bitshares has some ways to grow, another decentralized exchange, could easily see 50k in 3 months. Another with potential beyond 3 months is library credits, they are releasing betas of their project which will help it grow even more. Also you might consider apx as a long term hold, it could see huge gains, maybe 100-200% in a few years.

I agree, it takes around 6 months or so to get max profits, but if you are satisfied though of just 3 months well that's you. Currently I think the best altcoin to trade on, if that's what you meant on the subject you posted is Ethereum.

As if today, I will recommend going with Ripple, Nem and DGB. With DGB you'll have the highest percentage of return, Nem and Ripple are solid, so you will be at much less risk with those and they have chances of prosperity in the upcoming weeks as well.
