I wouldn't hesitate to use John K. for escrow in transactions in the thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars worth of bitcoin. However, John K. is getting flooded with escrow requests, and occasionally isn't online when a user is trying to quickly set up an escrow. There are several other trusted members of the forum who also offer escrow, and who I would trust to hold escrow in most situations.
