maybe limiting new registrations above a certain hashrate until you can add more hw?

Will current mining still be paid out?

i think problem is in those kernel settings, but of course, i can close registration ;)

but there is also one more weird thing, db server is doing almost nothing now..

i'll do what will be possible to do so, all blocks are "immature" now...

I didn't register a payout address yet, but mined for several hours with 2300 kh/s are you going to allow people to log in again?

Will it be open for mining as well, or just for withdrawing bitbars?

I was tossing a Mh/s @ it too... seemed like you had a good thing going.

Might be a good idea to limit the number of users untill issues are ironed out, but regardless, thanks for your efforts on this pool.

it looks like problem on vmware server side, now is virtual machine acting a lot of better

now a lot of hashing power will test stability in few minutes, i hope :)

The bitbar pool does not seem to be making payouts. Looks like it is finding blocks, and my user (rbdrbd) has been participating all night (in #1 place), but no payouts have been made (no transaction history) and my account balance is listed as “0 BTB”. I took my automatic payout threshold down to .1 BTB a few minutes ago, maybe that will help. Maybe the “Account Balance” listing is cast to an integer and showing 0 because the amount due is not a whole number?

I assume this is a modified mmcfe you guys are running? Assume you are using the Novacoin fork of pushpoold? I was able to get everything but mmcfe working (I took a bitcoin crash course and hacked together a version off of what's on github, but the stats are all off...this version you have is MUCH closer...we should be golden after payouts are working, and seeing the network hash power would be sweet too. I can add that.)

Do you guys have your mmfce fork on github anywhere? I’m a developer and would be happy to help out and make a few push requests. I could also throw a bunch of hardware at it for running a pool server if need be (I have a bunch of high end VM servers and a 100M link).

It takes 364 blocks to confirm a found block, I don't think there have been 364 found since the pool began.

we need 520 confirmations, so luckily there are no payments yet.. for now it's as it should be

i'm absolutely not sure about payouts at the begining, when server was falling and i changed few parameters at run (higher difficulty) i hope it's just few blocks.. i'll send all my bitbars to pools wallet to be sure pool can cover this (but i have just few of BTB)

also there are no sources at github, fork is from litecoin mmcfe

It's 520 confirmations for bitbar.

Ah yes. That can take awhile. It would be great to see the # of confirmations remaining for each block on http://btb.binarycoins.eu/blocksAuth ...as well as sido maybe putting up a note on the front page of the site stating that it could take up to a day (or whatever it ends up being) for blocks to be confirmed.

My main thing is that if we want bitbar to be adopted, we need to give users as good as feedback as possible about how many bitbars they've mined and when they can expect to get it in their wallet. This is why solomining with a personal pushpool is better from that perspective at the present moment (I can see the income come in and track it through the confirmation process). I think once we get some more feedback of this nature in the pool interface, it will be much better.

It's all about people putting in work and seeing the feedback from that work as quickly as possible. *That* is what will best drive adoption, especially when confirms can take awhile. I'd love to see a figure somewhere that basically says what the pool is estimated to owe me from unconfirmed blocks...make it prominent (right in the dashboard... there is an "Unpaid Shares" and "Estimated Per Payout", but I wonder what can be done to take it to a single number that shows how many bitbars any given user is owed...e.g. "Unconfirmed Account Balance").

Your Current Hashrate
3810 KH/s

Unpaid Shares
Your Valid: 1280
Pool Valid: 368435

This Round Shares
Pool Valid: 31687

But why is there no "Your Valid" for this round?

its my understanding that userstats have been disabled as uses too much resources on the server... is y i don't change from 508KH in last hour or so... block stats working and needs 520 confirms to balance to be credited to account... and not sure thast will happen with user stats disabled but will see in 200 blocks or so

Will everyone see in 200 blocks or so or only the people who participated in those initial blocks? In other words will it be something like "Your Valid" divided by Pool Valid, or do we have to wait for the first block in which we actually participated to become valid?

When the pool gets to approximately 104 blocks found on the stats page, the bottom blocks should be crossing the 520 confirms point and payments should start trickling into accounts. The pool is currently at 96 blocks found, so this should happen within the next two hours or so. Please post if you actually got paid...

Fees went up to 3%

fees are not counting yet, because first of funded blocks need aprox 70 confirmations to mature, fees are calculating when price for block is accounted to your accounts after mature, btw i don't think 3% is too expensive

you should have a correct numbers, stats are updating few times per minute

Users by top rate:

1 mg128364 3,810  0.492
2 guru 3,556  0.459
3 Syngen 2,794  0.361

My shares for the current round:

This Round Shares
Your Valid: 46
Pool Valid: 33594

Something is not counting all my shares? Or the pool per round shares valid is totally off..

OK, time will tell I guess. You are the first BTB pool, so you have the potential for major commissions if your server fairly distributes to shares and become successful and flooded with miners...

SELECT SUM( balance ) FROM `accountBalance`

SUM(balance) = 0.15786663

0.15786663 / 100 * 102 = 2% fee = 0.1610239626

block:
Array
(
    [account] =>
    [category] => generate

    [confirmations] => 524
    [generated] => 1

    [time] => 1367626900
    [timereceived] => 1367626903
)

0.18789 -  0.1610239626 = 0.0268660374 rest are donations and unpaid shares holded with PPNLS

that sounds good :) payments are reflecting different block value (100% sure i can be when it happens, but it looks good)

edit:
after next block: SUM(balance) 0.3157425
0.3157425  / 2 = 0.15787125

Showing some account balance. I was miner 8 so everyone else who started yesterday should be seeing some coin within 8 hours or so. Currently seeing coin from block 5320.

The 0.1 btb min withdrawal actually seems a little high. Would like to see 0.05.

I mean Automatic Payout Threshold should be able to be set to .05, or even .01. 0.1 BTB is quite a bit, and the 520 confirms makes this glacially slow to mine.

Yea, I've been throwing 1MH at this for 24 hours, and don't think that's enough for even 0.1 BTB. Threshold should be 0.01 (in line with BTC) or possibly even less in the future.

Would it be possible to see like last 300 blocks found instead of 50?

That way we could track closer to 520.

That mining is the slowest ever lol

Anybody got an automatic payout?

I'm not at the automatic payout threshold yet, but if I try a manual payout it says "Not enough money".

Nice pool, it took less time to get the first pool working than expected. Due to difficulty being 14.65 already, mining in a pool is becoming a must soon :)
Anyone has an estimate of the total network hashpower?

And just as I got a payout from the pool I found a block for the pool. Must be karma.

i'm afraid we can just guess, from birbar daemon you can get nothing, or maybe we can try calculate it by solved blocks on pool per time periode versus all block per time periode and compare it with pool hashrate in time..

It looks like the lag time to get to 520 confirms is currently approximately 32 hours, so your first payment should be 32 hours after you started mining.

It seems that the pool has now a big part of the total hash power : 10 blocks found for the last 15 blocks.

Are they any others pools ?

Is the estimated per payout number totally off? Shouldn't it be the following:

LastBlockValue * (YourValidThisRound / PoolValidThisRound) * 0.97% (for the pool fee being taken out)

It seems to be less than half of what the above formula would suggest. Am I missing something or is the value displayed just wrong?

I think I figured it out, the rounds must be less than about 40% of the time it actually takes to find a block by the pool. That is why each round pays significantly less than what a block would pay. I hope sido can correct me on this, because I can't find the round time listed anywhere on the Pool web site.

Registrations are closed on the hub (probably to limit having too much % of the hashpower), so it's a nice opportunity for other pool owners to make the second btb pool.

Why have confirmations slowed down to a crawl? The confirmed blocks are about to scroll off of the last 150 blocks found list.

It looks like it's taking about 36 hours now to hit the required 520 confirms. We're finding blocks now faster than they can be confirmed.

What's up with the BTB network?

It currently takes a minimum of 36 hours to get 520 confirms, keep on waiting... I'm at about 35 hours right now since the first block I worked on with a zero balance despite being in the top three contributors to the pool for most of the last 35 hours, so if I can be patient, you can too...

It think Sido's done an awesome job putting up a pool so quickly and fixing issues as they arose. Some people have already written about being paid out. I will post a message when my account goes non-zero as well. I hope others do the same to add credibility to the pool.

Sido, I think I have figured out why I am getting so many prevhash-stales. My network difficulty is >1M. So I guess quite often, by the time I solve a piece, the pool has already moved on to the next block. Then I have opportunity lost at the start of the next block, since I am still solving stuff for the previous block.

Suggestion: Can you please put a maximum cap on the difficulty of something reasonable like say 250k or something or is this not within your control or do we need stratum to be able to do something like this?

I wish others with powerful rigs (i.e., >1.4 MH) would let me know if they are having the same problem with prevhash-stales with cgminer.

Hey sido, why does the pool site say at the bottom:

Last block value: 0.164687 BTB

It's been at that value for more than 24 hours, is that really the last block value? I would have thought that it went down from that due to difficulty increases.

I noticed that too. I wonder if something is hardcoded to prevent the reward dropping too low. In which the developer needs to address this :)

if there is no counting for block, there are possible reasons
- you wasn't solved share in current round, blocks was jumping in every 30 seconds (even less)
("1880","5415","113","2","0","1","0.00" // "2143","5421","113","1","11","1","0.00") as you can see, those are pretty close to zero
- server is down, it's exactly from this moments when server was lagging as hell, i was restarting services, etc

with informations which i have from database it looks as it should be, sadly i don't have so old share history to compare counted shares with published to pool

but i was checking your uncounted shares and there is counting for almost every one block... few spaces here

In general 520 confirmations should take days. Calculating with 10 minute blocks there are 6*24 = 144 blocks a day, thus close to 4 days for a mined block to mature.

I wish others with powerful rigs (i.e., >1.4 MH) would let me know if they are having the same problem with prevhash-stales with cgminer.

No, but I'm using separate workers for each card.

whats the advantage of doing this?

Can you please explain why the est BTB/Day count gives me less than half of someone else who I supposedly have the same hashrate with?

Compare your hash percentage to pool percentage vs. your share percentage to pool shares. Should be ok.

Pool Hashrate 88.28 / My Hashrate 1.65 = 2%

Your Valid: 8678 / Pool Valid: 854656  = 1%

This Round Shares: Your Valid: 11 /Pool Valid: 908 = 1%

?????

Has anyone else had trouble getting onto this pool in the last day? My cgminer times out connecting. On rare occasion I get in, but almost never. Same thing on ub3rl33t bbq pool. Basically can't mine any of the coins I want to, but other pools connect fine

Pool has been working fine for me. The blocks take quite a bit longer to mature (which is to expected with 520 confirmations needed and so few miners) but i have been getting payouts fine. If you plan on setting up on the pool be prepared to wait awhile for your shares to catch up to reflect your hashrate and start getting bigger payouts. It took awhile (days) for the ball to get rolling, but i'm getting a nice little stream pouring into my wallet now.

Hash rate ~160MH (after I join back up). I think this is the highest it's been on this pool!

Network hash rate looks to be ~540MH currently (http://www.bitbar.info/stats/index.php)

I've made some of my own calculations, judging by the number of blocks found, and the pool hashrate, the number of blocks the pool has found is about 110, number of blocks mined is about 215, if the average pool hashrate over the last 24 hours has been about 100MH, then the total network should be about 200MH or so. Unless I've calc'd something wrong.

I'd say that's not a good way to calculate or check due to luck and hash rate fluctuation on the pool. I guess a good sanity check is vs litecoin's (hash rate/difficulty) ratio.

Right now litecoin's ratio is (11.74/396) = 0.0296
bitbar's ratio is (0.53/17.86) = 0.0296

Voila, same ratio. The math checks out on my estimate I think. (i made bitbar.info)

*edit* problem seems to have returned?

**double edit** seems to be fixed. It must be an issue with consistency, the more consistent your mining, the more consistent your estimation.

automatic and also manual payments are suspended for now, until i'll not finish issue with few blocks.. 520 confirmations needed and low setting for widrawal "zapricinili" hmhmhm.. caused(?) more transactions than i was getting from bitbard for calculations..

blocks 6059 - 6097 and 6111.. if you have credit for some of this blocks in your transactions, you have something what belongs to others also..

i'm sorry for that, but you must wait for a while with your widrawal

Is this pool legit? There is no "unconfirmed transactions" - so users have no idea of their pending earnings.

Does this pool pay out properly?

i need rewrite code for unconfirmed, in hint for this item you can see that this information is updated daily (calculation takes a lot of time and resurces and in first case is better if pool is running without lags or slowdowns),

payouts are for now processed 2 times per day and only automatic payouts works.. due to bug (you can find details in this thread) i need to do more debuging, that's the reason for that

I looked at the Stats page yesterday and saw that I had found one of the blocks between 6059-6097.

Please check if I recieved any unfair payments and if I did let me know how I can rectify the situation.

The pool has been at about 25% of the estimated hashrate for the past few days. Unfortunately the bitbar stats take quite a while to "catch up", while the pool stats are more or less instant. In other words, it's hard to judge at the moment.

One thing I will say is that because of the coin selection websites this stuff has become much harder to mine.

I don't think it's that high 'cus this pool finds every single block.

i think he is trying to scam someone. you know: "i have a scrypt asic miner, i can show you IRL, look.." because if he is able to do this, he also must know it's useless, or maybe he was trying to make high load on server to get it down.. something like that..

So that was an interesting 8 hours. Top of the list on the coin comparison websites and ridiculous hashing power was diverted over. Then immediately removed. I would hope that PPLNS had a stronger effect on these miners who coin jump, but oh well. It'd be good if there was a way to encourage loyalty a little better.

Yes, about 300-400MH/s were added a couple hours after the coin comparison websites added bitbar, it's now dropped down due to quick difficulty adjustment, and those farms have left, leaving the original miners. It's actually interesting to look at the pools and see that the vast majority of miners are consistent.

This is most likely. A pool's estimate of your hashrate is nothing the but time it takes for you to send the share back after you receive it, which winds up being slightly more accurate than a total WAG.

Likely trying to scam the pool.

i need to rewrite code for unconfirmed, because it takes too long to calculate something like that... if you will hold your mouse pointer over question mark picture in this line, you will see that unconfirmed are updated daily.. but your balance is updated every 2 minutes.. that means you still can see unconfirmed, but those BTB was already moved to your balance.. are you still mining on pool?

hope everything else is correct

I think its too slow.

your request is second one for stratum support, but it's in my mind for few weeks already.. i'll start work on it :)

server is located at europe, slovakia exactly.. and sadly you are not only one who have problems to connect to the pool.. i'm trying to find out best solution for this issues (i suspect that problems are with international connectivity in server housing company), but without success for now..
