Marycoin is 99.99% bitcoin clone. The main idea is to make another bitcoin, only cheaper.

I treat cryptocurrency as a way of fast and cheap (in terms of commissions) international transactions. Bitcoin has become very expensive and it was not profitable to use it for everyday microtransactions: the minimum recommended commission is already 2 dollars! And further the commission will only grow.
This means that bitcoin can continue to be used as savings or as a currency for major purchases, but buying pizza for bitcoins, no one will be. Commission is more expensive.

Therefore, the idea was born: to make another bitcoin. Why not? If anyone, even a technically not very literate user can easily see that the new coin is the same bitcoin with only a different name, then the coin can begin to be used in the same way as before used bitcoin: for cheap micropayments.

The Marycoin started on 06.01.2017. There is no premine. All coins are receive only real miners.
I am the developer of a Marycoin and i do not promise explosive growth. Those who believe in a Marycoin now can begin to mine until the difficulty is not big. Perhaps in the future these coins will become more expensive and maybe not.

Hi, payments are made automatically after 100 confirmations. Number of payments is in proportion to your shares and shares of other miners.
For example, if block found and you find 1000 shares with 3ghs and ASIC miner found 1000000 shares with 100th, then you will get only 50/1001000 MC and ASIC miner will get 50-50/1001000 MC

It all depends on how long and with what power you have mined?
Usually the reward comes after 101 confirmations.

For example. If you mined block #1000, then the reward you receive only when block #1101 will be found.

But if you mined with very low power, there is a possibility that you did not find any blocks at all ((

i did not even noticed from bitcoin when they started in 2009 - i nearly fell over btc after a collegue told me in 2012 you can mine btc with your gpu and sell it for ~100$ when you got time to wait for the price to rise- this was the highest bitcoin has reached back these days - i checked the very same day how to setup my AMD 5770 and mined away - i ordered a 2nd 5770 and mined 16 BTC in 2 - 3 weeks - current price (just normal not even 24/7) - BTC was ~4$ back then - price was rising from than on - i lost nearly all 16 btc on tradehill when they closed and some nice guy just gifted me 8 BTC back cause they were not that high of an value ^^ - than asics came and made gpu mining not worthy - that was just the thought for the current price that it's not worth to mine 0.2 btc per day with 2x GPU when you mined 0.9 a few days ago lol - in 2014 i was with 5BTC in pyramining - greatest trap ever - i was going to sellout all that i got left 3 BTC for ~ 1000$ per coin via mtgox - just a few days befor they disappeared and i got lucky that i received my pay - in 2014-2015 i was fixed on again with an S5 > 8 or 9 months to scrab 1 BTC - and it's value was just about 350$ - i waited till it was 1200$ and sold out at bitcoin.de cause i newer thought of these prices i see now. i again got lucky that i could sell the S5 for even more i had paid on asicminershop.eu as it was brandnew :D

i just wanna tell, we all don't know we're the journey with Marycoin will lead us - but the hashpower someone can draw now on an unknown coin to gain huge amounts and dump the price for years - that will hold any coin down :(

Mining algiritm will not changed (sha256), but mining will be possible with ASIC and with video card and even with single processor.

With new wallet version, anyone has a chance to find a block! Even if the diff is large.
If the block is not found within 40 minutes then new algorithm reduces difficulty to a minimum

2. Trading volume should be at least 10000 MC in month

There is fixed critical bug
This is not hardfork, but update is strongly recommended. For update, download and run wallet with this flags: -reindex -rescan

The wallet version has issues.  

Tested this v0.6 win64 wallet, just a fresh sync from beginning to end with an empty wallet on window 10 PC.    The syncing stopped at "Number of blocks left: 109", at blocks 66813,   it won't sync from yesterday.

Checked peers,  three banned,  three allowed.  

Do not dare to update my real wallet until this syncing issue is fixed.

OK,  this sounds like this is a hardfork.   We got a big dump on MC at ShorelineCrypto  with three suspicious transactions (MC/DOGE pair):

The above seller was willing to sell 25000  MC at 0.002 right after the release of the new wallet.  I am fearing that this might be a double spending attack because of this fork.  I suspended all trading/deposit/withdraw on MC.  

The money above is not big amount.  Hopefully I am wrong and over-alarmed on MC situation.

a LESSON should be learned here. It was indeed a double spending thief event at ShorelineCrypto exchange. 

I appreciate and thank MC dev kzv for all the work he has done for the coin and for the opentrade opensource platform.  The financial loss is small, only a few USD dollar amount and we will take care of it by our own pocket at ShorelineCrypto exchange.

The thief is likely to return at any chance and there are lots of shady people in the world.

Any future wallet software upgrade or fork should be taken with great care.  Exchange business is risky business and let's minimize the risk for all the exchanges that support this coin.

I use the wallet for half a year, but on December 2, the synchronization of the wallet was stuck on block 67054. What is the problem?

OpenTrade  Doge/MC pair can not be traded.  Any buy/sell order will go through normally, but no trade happening.  Wallet balance not changed either.

Credit card typically has strict rules on where and which country can be used. So therefore kzv's new feature probably only apply to users in Russia.

What happened on MC block chain?  The block explorer stopped on Friday.  There are no blocks over past two three days.

Actually, Shorelinecrypto exchange continues have blocks after Fri Mar 22.  Hard fork? 51% attack ongoing?

Is MC block chain getting stuck?  The last block was yesterday afternoon, almost one day. All Miners left?

I am not familiar with mining pool.  I have never done that.  It used to be OK to do MC solo mining, but I think the
last block is too far away and I can not do solo mining now probably because  solo URL connection think the syncing is not complete
(over one day away) and not allowing any solo mining.

I am the sole miner (USB) on bitultra.io.  But I can only do overnight when I do not work nearby.  
It is too noisy during day for working nearby and I will shut it down during day.   So far it was not churning through last night.  I will try another overnight mining until tomorrow day time.  

As far as I am aware,  bitultra.io is last working pool now. Because solo mining is not working now,  bitultra.io is likely the only method to mine MC now.

Should be back to normal now on MC mining.

solo mining is working also.  I have found that off by 12 hours, solo mining won't work because the reason I said earlier.

The bot that is active in OpenTrade MC/BTC market is pretty cool, but it doesn't trade enough size to be useful, only a few cents worth of coins every few minutes.

DOGE/MC has bot too in OpenTrade. But the size is very small too.

Delisting Notification on Marycoin (MC)

Marycoin(MC) will be delisted from shorelinecrypto exchange on Nov 1, 2021.  The last trading day for Marycoin(MC)   is 10/31/2021.

On Nov 1,  2021, MC will be delisted and removed from exchange.  Please withdraw all your Marycoin(MC) balances to your private Marycoin(MC) wallet before MC delisting day.

The decision on delisting is based on trading activity determination that Marycoin had lack of interest from MC community for trading.  There has been no trades on MC for more than 2 months.   Exchange has limited resources to support coins trading and wallet and we can not afford to support coins with no trading interest.
