Just few days ago we, Skyprivate.com, started to offer bitcoin as a payout method to models and studios working on our adult cam-site focused on skype shows: www.skyprivate.com

I am just curious, do you make use of payment processors to convert bitcoin to fiat or do these models have a option to accept bitcoin directly? We want Bitcoin adoption to grow and it would be nice if models could accept bitcoins and not fiat for their services. The more people using bitcoins directly, increase the demand for it and this increase the price.

as this moment the btc payments do not go directly to the models.
the plan for the future is to allow a customer make a btc transaction that gets directly in to a model's btc wallet

but will you convert the amount sent from BTC to $ or will you give a wallet in BTC with (and in this case a variable $ amount)?
I don't know how models would "appreciate" BTC fluctuation... ::)

at this moment we exchange btc> fiat  from customers and we payout fiat>btc at the rate of the withdraw for the model. so the models are not exposed to volatility.
this is how it works today and we will keep this but in the future we will add the option for the models - if they choose so - to receive the pay-per-minute transactions directly into the btc wallet. this means that they will be exposed to price fluctuation but this is an option they can use or not. 

Wow. This goes to show the growing acceptance of bitcoin as a means of transaction not only for across currency transactions but also local. This is great.

during this first week, we only had 8 btc payouts averaging at $100 each.
i guess they also did it as a test to see how our process works.

skyprivate is an adult cam site not a membership site.
this means that a customer can buy credit using creditcard, bitcoin etc.
minimum is $10 but we have customers that spent $250,000 already :)

Holy shit, I hope this is not from an individual customer/member? That would be just crazy to spend that amount of money on cam sites or this person is absolutely loaded. I would just love to have this person as one of my referrals. < 6% as referral income would bag you about $15 000 > ^crazy^

Great that you're offering payouts in Bitcoin for the models, but are you really the first site to offer this?
I'm 99% sure that Xotika only works with Bitcoin, so getting paid in fiat isn't even possible.

Anyway, it would be cool if you could update the stats after a few weeks ;)

but i said that we are the first major cam site to do bitcoin payouts.
xotiva was a project focused 100% only on btc and of course had btc payouts too. but it never became a relevant cam site for the industry.

We currently run multiple webcam studios providing payouts to over 1600 models. We actually offered BTC as a method of payment (as a test) to see how many members would choose this option. Only 4 models chose to be paid this way, 1 of which wanted 50/50 cash/BTC. I don't believe that it was the fluctuation that scared the models away, I believe that it was the lack of knowledge. We will try again in a year or so, once BTC is a little more established and mainstream in order to gain stats on the increase.

bitcoin isnt widespread at all, and its used not as a currency but as a speculation asset, for bull calls and other media run scam, i doubt its useful to run a business based on bitcoin at all since its so insignificantly rare, and almost nonexistent compared with the media attention it still has.
