No, it will probably not go down, even if it dips down a little, it will never reach $1500. $2000 could be your best hope. If you watch the charts closely, you will know that bitcoin is rising steadily, and gets small corrections along the way.

I don't think bitcoin will dip back down to $1500, but it sure as hell could.  There's no guarantees in crypto, and volatility is the norm.  We shot up to $2500 within a couple months (I think), and we could easily drop back down just as fast.  Why don't you give us your opinion, OP?  Of course I won't see it after I hit that ignore button.

Yeah simply following what this guy said is something that I said for a good amount of time. The price in Bitcoin (and really the entire rest of crypto) shot up WAYYY too fast, to the point of making me and many others think that their is some sort of bubble present.

Every so often a correction comes, this could be one of those small corrections or it could be the big one which launches Bitcoin back to a normal price.

Though, if anyone could fully anwer your question OP with something that'd be 100 percent right, I'd doubt they'd be letting people know on a public internet forum. So, your guess is as good as mine when it comes to what happens next with BTC.

Maybe you are a person who is obsessed with the decline in bitcoin prices. Do not forget this time bitcoin prices have reached to a higher level. Need big news to be able to affect the bitcoin prices up to that bad.

No one can tell that. However, if the segwit gets acrivated, I don't think it will go back to $1500 again. Investors and traders won't llet that to happen since altcoin's value could also dump as btc goes down.

It will go down yes, but I'm not sure it will go down compared to current prices. We could very well be reaching new all time high lows. Nothing is a sure thing of course so I could be wrong but I have a feeling we will be seeing another pump that will bring us to a new normal from which the amount it can go down is limited.

Fluctuations is always present mate and you just needed to keep on monitoring i cant say it can fall to that value but as a trader i would be happy to see staying at 2k$ range as many newcomers are joining the ride better to let them buy and hold to this range.

No one  could give you a fix answer this and expect all answers here would be all speculation since no one really knows on where bitcoin price would go.Possibilities of going down is always there even on that level that you mentioned but on frankly speaking we can go back again on $1500 if theres something happen wrong on bitcoin community or any news related to it.I hope it wont happen because i do hate to see bitcoins price to go down. ;D

Anything is possible, moreso with bitcoin. It can go down if the demand for it becomes lukewarm or it could pick up once there's some good news that propels it upward. Right now, I think we are in the consolidation phase and it wouldn't hurt so much if you could buy some now and just wait for another price surge that us almost sure to come.

Im looking to buy 1.2btc, and invest 0.2 in carefully chosen altcoins.

IN general I believe bitcoin will rise significantly in the next 5 years, and when it hits mainstream, the price will only go up thanks to ever rising demand and limited resource.

No one really knows if there will be no more chance of it to get back down. But I believe that bitcoin is becoming stronger and it won't be back again.

Right now the price is moving quickly in the forward direction. We cannot say that dip won't happen anymore, as nothing is completely assured with bitcoin. Price dip and pumping is the real nature of bitcoin. Hope dips won't happen anymore and the growth continues good moving towards the expected $3000.

The price of Bitcoin will definitely go down, but I doubt that it will fall all the way down to 1.5k. The price of Bitcoin shot up way too quickly and that's why we saw that drop recently, however, the price is now correcting and hopefully it doesn't drop again.

I think at present bitcoin is at strong position. Many new people are investing in it especially in my country. There was a news of some bitcoin exchange getting crashed because increase in traffic on their website. This is a clear cut indicator that bitcoin is going to go up now with some fluctuations but it is not going back to $1500 now.

Yaah I am agree with you the price of bitcoin is not going to back down $1500 for me I think its price is not drop to below 2300$ its price will going to increase 3500$ or 4000$ in year of 2018 and that time its price  is not decreasing in 4000$ because its investors are increased in  day to day.

No, Bitcoin won't dip, buyers are still in control. Market is strong, we will see price climbing higher and probably could even retest its all time highs.
Dollar is weak, political situation in Europe is problematical (Brexit, early UK elections, terror attacks) - all that will help to increase demand for cryptocurrency.
I would advise you to buy Bitcoin now, you would be foolish to sell, soon we might have next ATH.

The dump in the future is not the same in the past. Bitcoin now reach stable condition and that's mean that this current price now is the possible lowest price in the future.  Bitcoin is now starting to pump. Read the graphs to follow on what I'm saying.

Everyone is worried? Well, not me. I am happily looking forward to the potential activation of Segwit. If there happens to be a chain split, then so be it - it's a now or never situation as there is no way on earth that Segwit will ever happens to gain enough miner support to activate. Important is that if you have coins sitting in exchanges, wallet services, gambling sites, etc, you should withdraw them as soon as possible the closer we come to the UASF day. It will make sure that in case there happens to be a chain split, that you are holding value on both chains, and not that the mentioned services will walk out with the alt-Bitcoin, and just let you only cash out the real Bitcoin. Keep that in mind.

Isn't that somewhat of a legal form of scamming people? I personally won't get affected by this as everything I hodl (literally every satoshi) in Bitcoin is sitting safely in offline storage already.

How did you say that bitcoin is going back down? Can't you see it? Price is going up and it reached $2689 as of today in bitstamp. There is no indication of dip down. Seeing $3000 is more possible than the chance of seeing $1500 again dude.

There is always a possibility especially if whales that is holding hundred of thousand of bitcoin will cash out.  But with the current trend i think it is far from happening.  I think bitcoin price will increase even higher and eventually reach $5k.

i think you did not check the today price of bitcoin it is going up constantly, its price is now in 2600$ from 2400$, so how you are saying that the price of bitcoin is going down, i think its price in the coming months will also increase, it is right that after a big pump of bitcoin there is always dump but bitcoin always shows new record of its price.

This is due to the current event and news about Bitcoins.  As of what is the content of news about bitcoin today, all of them point to bitcoin hype.  Adoption, start-ups, country acceptance, and RSK.  All of these can contribute to Bitcoin price increase since these news are all positive and may trigger a bitcoin increase rally.  So I think we won't be seeing Bitcoin at $1500.

We can say this current price increase is the generic hike and this is well supported. So, it will be harder to pull the price down. It still can take a dip but most likely will not.

Price goes down as a result, market will push further than before and again other weak hands dump and the process continues to go on.

You could really stay strong if you either are dead and unable to dump or you have access to your keys but you are really strong like Satoshi.

In a system with a limited supply anyone dumping is basically giving away his/her own shares of the future.

As for now we cannot really say a final word on bitcoin's price, because it's so unpredictable to monitor the current price pump and dump. If we hit that bigger price in the marketplace, there it happens a bigger price drop if more investors dump their bitcoin when they sell it for personal purpose of finances. But if not, price will continue to rise and when demand also rises many people were buying bitcoin for holding an investments.

Don't see it dipping back to the $1500 range. It already has support at $2400. It is definitely on pace to scrape the $3000 by the end of the year.

If it went all the way down as far as $2400 I'd be very surprised and I'd jump at the chance to buy more at that low price.

Most of this volatility is just normal for bitcoin and it does not worth stressed over simply because its temporary which is something that have come to stay with bitcoin at least for now until when we have enough entrants and the people coming in are not as much to change the market order. I am sure looking at the price now at this moment will give credence to this.

My prediction, it will drop like a stone very soon, leaving a familiar looking double top like pattern on the chart.

I do think that bitcoin is going to go back down soon after this craze is gone. I mean there is simply no way that this pump is going to be sustainable. It would have been if it went up just $10 a day, but this is going up $200, $300 a day. If you want your money, sell your bitcoins as soon as possible. If you think that bitcoin is going up, still sell a portion but keep a small portion of bitcoin so that if another pump was to come you don't lose out.

Looks like the opposite and I believe it is highly likely we will never see 1500 again, but we certainly will see 3000 very soon and 4000 not long after. The next big correction or crash in my opinion will only bring bitcoin back down to the 2000 range.

One can't make a perfect prediction with the price move of bitcoin. The scenario could change anytime upside down, but the ongoing price increase seems to be the normal growth. A proof for this is the price sustainability after gradual growth, which happened around $2400 for a long and then moved forward. Going back down happens, but this is not the time.

I do think that bitcoin is going to experience a temporary correction probably in the next week or so. Possibly down to $2000 again like last time it happened. However I don’t think that it’ll ever touch or even go near to $1500 because first of all, $2000 is sort of like a psychological barrier. Just like $1000. It’s a nice, round number and people expect the price to stay above that.

When people expect price to be a certain way that’s what usually happens - it does go this way. Because ultimately the market is made out of people and people make decisions - the decision influence the price.

No, price corrections already happened last month after that bubble price said to be the cause of these corrections, don't get too excited to see $3000 or $4000, because that's only a futuristic price. We should prepare for the worst everytime and never too confident that price will became stable all the time, we don't hold the decisions of the people who invest their btc's, that's why dumping normally happens while price is very high in the market. Anytime in any day bitcoin price drops again and fluctuates always in an unexpected situations and no one can really predicts it from happening, so you must be prepared.

Other than profit booking by some whales, I am not finding any negative things which may drag the prices back to 2000 levels. A correction around $3000 is inevitable but I do not think it may last till $2000. Prices may come down up to $2600 levels after hitting $3150 ranges. I am sure bitcoin prices are heading toward $5000 levels and we expect that to happen before end of June.

Let us say that the rally continues till the forking talk becomes more active and since it is a delicate issue and if it is not handled properly it could be a disaster and i really think we could expect a correction at that time,i think the forking could happen by August or at a later time and that is when the rally settles down.

I do not think that bitcoin will go down that low. I believe that we will see bitcoin's price around 2500 USD and will not go below that. We have Australia in line so it is more possible to have a big pump rather than dump.

to me I think the big whales now cannot effect the price of bitcoin too much. in fact the number of bitcoin holder are increasing from time to time and now they have also become so much mature, they are now not going to trap by panic selling. they  are holding bitcoin even we can examin a big fluctuation about 200 to 300 USD on daily bases but they are holding bitcoin and not going to sell it.

it could easily flash crash to 1500, that said since this is shake 100 + n  you have to wonder who exactly is left to be shaken out ... When I'm seeing my friends posting on social media about the price of bitcoin to get back at deep I'm always keep on telling them, don't think that way it's very negative. You are too sure that Bitcoin will be stable. The main thing that your confidence has not let you down, Because there are some concerns. Bitcoin can be wavy growth and fall charts. The fact is that after an active growth there should always be a small decline in the price.

I am sorry to say that I don’t agree with the point that the prices are going to hit $5000 till the end of June. There is no doubt that the price of the Bitcoin is increasing rapidly but still I can’t say that it is going to touch $5000 soon. It can only happen if a great development occurs in the Bitcoin acceptance as if some huge economy recognizes and legalize the Bitcoin as Japan do. Otherwise I am not expecting it more than $3300 in the June end.

The price right now is good going and the scenario doesn't have anything specific to experience a downfall in value. Fluctuations with bitcoin is a common thing and this a way of gaining resistance for a price pumping. I believe, if it goes down too nothing to panic. Sure the price will get recovered.

Yep. Bitcoin price will not go down to $1500 range. The price is too strong now and its like everyday the price is going up and rising. So I doubt, it will go down in the near future. It can even break the $3000 in matter of weeks now. Many big and small investors are putting cash on the market and the price will continue to go up until the end of the year. If you are planning to wait till it reaches $1500 then buy? I think you will have a lot of missed opportunity.

Can’t say anything at the moment because currently the price of the Bitcoin is progressing and progressing well. We are looking forward for the price to hit $5000. Even if something bad happened like if the whales in the market extract their investment the price cannot come to the level $1500. The price effect can be around 20% of the current price to go down.

Uh... Maybe for you man. But the rest of us here is holding or at least most of us. Another few red candles we can deal with but obviously it wouldn't be good news at all. I really wish that bitcoin would just stay at the $2700-$2900 level. If the price keeps on jumping up then it'll be a Bubble economy and pop. Transaction fees will rise even further which obviously ain't good for the bitcoin economy.

I really can't foresee bitcoin going down to $1500 again. The floor is established pretty well at the $2000 level. It'll be a pain for the dumpers to even break $2500 initially. If it does go sub $2k then it'll be sure to rebound, so buy in with the little fiat you have left  :D

Are you looking at 5 or 10 minute charts or what? Bitstamp just got down like $80, and Bitfinex just over $100, but that's really nothing considering the volatility and the hight of current levels. In recent days these are normal market movements, so there is no need to exaggerate things. If you want to buy so badly, you can do it directly as it doesn't really matter if you're buying your coins for $100 more or less.

I still feel comfortable using bitcoin. Although there was a decline of up to 100USD, I am sure that this will only run for some time. Bitcoin prices will continue to increase, while several times only experienced a correction that many people think they have to sell bicoins they have. But this is the path to profit when they can still save the bitcoin they have.

I can see it bitcoin will be coming down again after those investors get their profit out of the game of investments, because if they buy it cheaper from the previous time btc price decrease. When a price lowers down the reason why it will rise again is due to more are grabbing good oppourtunities that they seen from that price, that's why it rise back again and then after their investments they can sell what they've earned and take their profit.

According to my bitcoin ever fall back on $2200 figures, along with the running time of the ascending return on akhirny bitcoin figures $2700 in mid-this month the difference $500. but for now bitcoin is getting almost ride towards $3000 figures may be this weekend or later this month

Still practicing and doing more research too about bitcoin, it was just my opinion stating it is "possible" it will dump. Yes, I agree for the bitcoin the price going down is not something new it is normal for the bitcoin and currently there are no such chances to get the prices lower. Any uncertain situation can take the prices down only otherwise the increase that we are noticing in the price of the bitcoin is due to the great acceptance level from the people for the bitcoin which is real.

China's users is the most influential the rise bitcoin whereas Chinese Government no response about the bitcoin and cyrptocurrency. I think the bitcoin will continue to skyrocket because of a user who continues to increase, especially South korea and Japan have already legalized.

A major correction is coming, be it this month or next month but I am sure it will happen.
Hopefully it won't be as harsh as we have seen in the period 2014-2015. That seemed like a decade to me.

Anything is possible in the world of bitcoin, but if ever the price goes down to that amount then we should all brace ourselves because if that's the case then for those who are holding bitcoins would be depressed I mean look at its price right now, it's almost $3k and if it goes down to half of its value. It's already some sort of a correction. It all fits in how the market is trying to find a suitable range to settle in. Strictly speaking, there are traders with sub $2000, and even sub $1000 coins that are looking to cash out profits. In this case I don't think it will fall all the way to sub $2000 levels, but this correction is similar to how we have gone down from +$2700 to sub $1800 levels not that long ago.

Even if it does fall all the way down to 2k, that would be a support level for me and a perfect opportunity to get in - I have yet to buy any but will be in a position to do so soon so this will be timely. If it does't and hold as you think it will, still a good time for a correction. I have to say no one can be unhappy with the way it's going now.

I think that this is mear a small correction and their is no bad news that the price can go down, this is just profit booking by the small traders and it is now bouncing back to its normal trades.
