Title: [CAP] Corporate Action Platform
Post by: Corporate Action Platform on June 05, 2017, 01:21:29 PM
CAP - Corporate Action Platform

So I am watching the development in crypto assets for a while now and I have to say it is amazing. ICO's are the new stocks of the future, but what I noticed is the lack of control. There is a wild grow of new ICO's. People are starting new ICO's to raise a couple of million, but what if they are out of cash to develop new improvements. Then they have to do another ICO, but you want the initial investors to hold their value. How can we solve this? We create the new Corporate Action Platform, where company's can do their stock splits, reverse splits, dividends, buybacks and mergers.

How awesome should it be to have a new platform that processes:
- Token splits/reverse splits
For example you trade in your old token on the Corporate Action Platform and you will get back 100 new tokens of the new crypto asset (1:100 split). So how will this work? Let's say that the original coin has 10 million coins outstanding and with the first ICO you raised 10 million USD. One coin will now be worth 1 USD, but the company ran through their cash and did great developments, they will have to raise again.
So they will raise 2 billion new coins with a (1:100 split). First the 10 million old coin owners can trade in their old coin for 100 new coins on the Corporate Action Platform and after the split the company will offer the other billion coins to raise new cash. By doing a second offering you will be able to pay out the original investors their share, let's say the second round will be 30 million USD. You can pay out 15 million USD to the company and 15 million USD to the original investors/token holders (in ETH or BTC).
- Dividends
- Buybacks
- Mergers

I am not a developer but if people want to start this great opportunity to build this platform.

Please let me know.

No I'd rather invest in established companies offering ICO like https://cryptonomos.com/?r=1H2MkmZnQak9mIc0NKCaddDsQ
