Title: How to grow from a Newbie member to a Senior/Full member or Hero
Post by: mistyderby on June 05, 2017, 02:50:07 PM
Hello peeps. I have joined this forum for about 4 weeks now and my membership profile still read "Newbie".
This has limited me to participating in anything meaningful or a signature campaigns here.
Please fellow members, how do I get promoted and start getting campaign pays like you guys.
Stephen

You have to contribute to various discussion on the forum and also create a post before you can be promoted and also you have to spend months or years before you can get to senior, hero member

Here some rules to promote your rank it's a long time process and you need to make post to promote your rank here 1 post = 1 activity and it's a limit in 14 days (2week) you can earn 14 activity in 14 days if you want you can earn 14 activity in one day but after 14 activity then it's not increase in 14 day it will increase after 14 days.

Here the list of activity=rank
Brand New: 0 posts
Newbie: (none)
Jr. Member: Activity: 30
Member: Activity: 60
Full Member: Activity: 120
Sr. Member: Activity: 240
Hero Member: Activity: 480

Your rank increases as you make posts in the forum. However, there are time restrictions as indicated above and you can only gain so much activity every 2 weeks.

So it simply takes time and contributing posts to the forum to increase your level.

You can't grow a newbie to senior or full member in exact 4 months without posting or reply anything from this thread you need an activity or post to grow up your activity and then if you already grown up your rank you can join into any signature campaign you wanted.

Be careful with how you associate these two comments "something meaningful" and "signature campaigns". It's fine that you want to participate in a signature campaign, and it's critical that your involvement in one isn't the only reason you're visiting this forum.

There are a lot of rules (formal and informal) about engaging in signature campaigns and it's important for you to be aware of them if it's ever a goal of yours in the future.

Have you read the Newbies Read Before Posting thread? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0)

And read about why people get banned from signature campaigns: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1741988 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1741988)

Finally, while you're ranking up it would be wise to develop a good reputation around here. Make helpful posts. Report spam posts. Try to earn some formal trust if you can engage in transactions (sales/purchases) with others on the forum.

Good luck to you and welcome!

Although I didn't create this thread I nearly did last summer.  I can totally relate to starting out here.  Just jump in and participate where you have some skills to be useful.  Ask good questions and try to learn.  You'll gain credentials before you even realize it.  I have fun and learn here and the other stuff just follows.  Enjoy!!

OP probably gave up, bought an account,  joined a sig campaign
and got banned.  This thread is old enough that it prolly shouldn't
get bumped.   ^^^If you're looking for how many posts it takes to get
to X level, just look on the first page of beginners & help.  It's all
there.

As I know to get Sr. member rank you need to be an active commentator on the forum for a year or even a little bit more. I wish you a lot of luck with your target, just do not be so crazy about your ranking up or you will be simply banned for spamming.

In order for you to participate in campaigns, you rank should be atleast a Jr. Member. And to become a Jr.Member you must have atleast 30 activities.
it is better to post here atleast 1-a day to gain 1 activity.
and by 1 month or more you can be a Jr. Member

Actually a lot of people here don't know the trick to rapidly increasing activity.

Every 14 or so activity points they stop accumulating and you have to spend some time logged off.  I think it is like a week.

So the quickest way to get from Newbie to Hero is to log off once you see your points stop going up and stay logged off for a week before logging back in and racking up those sweet activity points.
