Title: Raspberry Pi & Bitcoin Post by: cryptoheadd on June 05, 2017, 05:11:03 PM What all, related to Bitcoin, can you do with a Raspberry Pi? (Excluding Mining)
I have an extra raspberry pi, that I don't know what to do with. :) Title: Re: Raspberry Pi & Bitcoin Post by: jak3 on June 05, 2017, 05:19:47 PM a Raspberry Pi is actually a kind of mini personal computer(technically). so no it can not mine bitcoins as because normal computers do not have enough power to face the current bitcoin difficulty and a Raspberry Pi of course very outdates and doesn't stand a chance but if you buy a mining rig then I assume you can connect it with your Raspberry Pi and can control it at so low cost.

(Excluding Mining) I have an extra raspberry pi, that I don't know what to do with. :) you can run a node and help support the network. and by running a node you can say your opinion. e.g be supporting UASF. http://raspnode.com/diyBitcoin.html https://medium.com/@wintercooled/setting-up-a-raspberry-pi-running-raspbian-as-a-bitcoin-uasf-bip-148-node-compiling-from-source-2d583ea675e5 Title: Re: Raspberry Pi & Bitcoin Post by: TryNinja on June 05, 2017, 05:30:36 PM If you want to support Bitcoin then just run a node in your Raspberry Pi. Preferably a UASF node.
Here is a quick tutorial: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/6d16th/simplified_explanation_for_setting_up_a_uasf_full/ Or if you also have extra storage available and want some cash, check out Storj: https://storj.io Title: Re: Raspberry Pi & Bitcoin Post by: cryptoheadd on June 05, 2017, 07:02:48 PM a Raspberry Pi is actually a kind of mini personal computer(technically). so no it can not mine bitcoins as because normal computers do not have enough power to face the current bitcoin difficulty and a Raspberry Pi of course very outdates and doesn't stand a chance but if you buy a mining rig then I assume you can connect it with your Raspberry Pi and can control it at so low cost. I'll look into it. Thanks. :) Title: Re: Raspberry Pi & Bitcoin Post by: cryptoheadd on June 05, 2017, 07:04:03 PM If you want to support Bitcoin then just run a node in your Raspberry Pi. I'll check out Storj. I do have around 1 TB available. Not sure if that's gonna be enough or not though. |
