I think this is the ATH.  :o And this is awesome. Many business are leaning towards blockchain technology.

Yap and most investors are just already multimillionaire who would want to expand there investments. And this is the millenia where everyone can access and mine a digital currency with the right technology and off course with the right strategy. And what's even amazing is you can be anonymous while earning large amount of money.

BTC right now is sitting at 2,800+$ price and is slowly rising according to preev and coindesk. The current price rise that we are experiencing is not just because of many businesses starting to accept bitcoin right now, but is also caused by the adoption in Japan which helps price to be stable at a high price. I hope this time 3000$ mark will be reached but there is a chance that it won't be reached for now.

Indeed another pump performed not by pumping groups and whales but naturally by the community, just let the new difficulty increase kicks in.

We're still $800 below the current real value of Bitcoin once we hit $3600 I predict more people coming here crying about how expensive it is and

$2500-2800 will become the old $1200-1500 and still some people will say it will crash, just something they will never learn, scarcity and predictable

Flow of the supply is something which governments were in control of it but now the Bitcoin's code is in control of it and is allowing anyone

To potentially jump on board and have a seat at the big table which only bankers and corporate and secret groups could seat, now they can seat

I think its already reached by bitcoin. Bitcoin already break the new ATH. this really good for us. but they're interested for use the service by the altcoin developers to make their own I mean about the side chain for the business.

It is at an ATH right now (at leas it was within the last hour), and it is pretty awesome to see. The market just rode a rocket, shooting up close to, what was it, $400 in 2 hours? Pretty insane if you ask me to be completely honest.
I don't think many businesses are learning towards blockchain tech. Maybe they're expressing an interest in Bitcoin, but they don't need the technology underpinning it yet. The blockchain isn't the valuable asset, Bitcoin (and altcoins) are what make it into something of recognized value. Maybe they'll hit that point at some period in the future, but I won't be holding my breath.

If many countries have officially used bitcoin, especially the G-20 countries then the price of $ 3000 is still too small, my estimate will be $ 5000 we have a house that japan, russia and the US will use bitcoin, but there is no clear law and revelation from the country

If you look at its potential, it is probable that bitcoin will reach $ 3k in the next few months.
And this of course gets a good reception for bitcoin users in various countries

How many became multi-millionaires as a result of BTC? To become a millionaire (i.e worth $1,000,000) just from Bitcoins, you need BTC350 in your wallet. There was a thread by the user rpietila, dealing with the BTC wealth distribution. According to it, only 14,000 people own more than 100 coins. I guess around 5,000 are having more than 350 BTC in their wallets.

It is great to see that people are now widening their horizons and investing in cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin. The demand of bitcoin is now really high and the price will keep rising as there is more and more demand.

Thats right the price of bitcoin today is near 3000 dollars and I believe it will happen in few days so be ready. Just hold it your bitcoin and for you will earn a lot of profit after that. Its better to buy bitcoin because the price of bitcoin before the end of this year will be 5000 dollars each. Many big investors will invest in bitcojn so the price is contiously increasing and bitcoin become more popular to the whole world.

I saw the price just now, and I was just simply amazed to the level that it has risen over night when last night before I slept it was hovering between the $2500s but now moving closer than ever to $3000 but at the same time, I won't want to alter my position because of that because what will happen in the next minute just like last night to this morning, nobody knows and this adds a sense consciousness to us to be more careful  more in dealing right now.

Yes the price of bitcoin would go higher than the current market rate.
Recently, the news reporters said russia is also being legalized the bitcoin soon.
As much as the demand of this coin goes frequent, the price would increase too. So, it is time expect $3k soon

For the first time in years, I am very optimistic that we are going to break through the $3000/BTC price barrier on all the Bitcoin exchanges. We have seen a steady increase in the price and this is what we want. Most investors has already made some profits and they are returning for more and new users are entering the Bitcoin community every day. I agree, there are always some price correction after a sudden increase in the price, but we are used to that by now. ^smile^

I predict a price of $5000+ by the end of this year, if the trend continue at the pace we are going now. < We just hope that nothing goes wrong, before this happens > ^hmmmmm^

$3,000 is oready in the pocket we are analyzing if it will get to $4000 before October. Many businesses are open up to blockchain and because of this moneyj, bitcoin price is at $2,822 now and we hope to get to $3,000 before the end of today or weekend.

Yeah. I've seen a lot of topics like that complaining how high bitcoin is and thry will not buy but little they did know that bitcoin's price as of today might be cheap from what will be in the future. To those who have brought bitcoin at $2500 can now see that thry have profit now from it.

i agree. but remember that when a lot of talk is happening all over the media about blockchain technology it will always mention bitcoin as the one thing that is successfully using this technology so it attracts a lot of attention. it is like free advertising!
and obviously the price rise also brings a lot of attention to it. when they say blockchain technology then say bitcoin is using it and its price is rising, many will cone towards bitcoin.
not to mention all the tides that were changed in favor of bitcoin when Japan regulated bitcoin.

We might be seeing 3000$ by tomorrow cause the flow in the demand is increasing very fast.
Yesterday it was only at 2600$ now its already 2860$.  + 200$ in a day. So maybe tomorrow another ath will come.

The thing is that there are a lot of speculation involved in this. Sure many countries are starting to accept bitcoin as  alegal form of payment, sure some more merchants have started to accept btc. But this does not justify such a dramatic change in price.

It's definitely the all time high though, you are right about that.

I think that we'll see a correction soon. Hopefully everyone investing is able to cash out before that comes

There is no surprise in it. This has been a long back speculated price which is gonna reach the barrier in a short. Now more attention will be found towards bitcoin even from the outer world who doesn't have any knowledge about it and the one who feel bad is the people who sold on panic during the past price drop towards $2000.

considering that $3k is still a very small alue for this technology, you have not seen anything yet, i think bitcoin is not worth less than 10k, wake me when we are there

i still think before going high, there will lots of price correction and panic dump that will cause a retreat which is good because it mean that we are increasing with stron stable value

Yes, Bitcoin to almost reach 3000 USD is indeed the all time high. It is very beneficial to old investors and an inspiration for the new ones. However, I believe that we've seen just the beginning, bitcoin will surely achieve more greater heights. And as bitcoin gain so much achievements, more and more people will surely engage in bitcoin and more and more business will surely lean toward bitcoin and blockchain technology.

Old investors is celebrating now, I think, unless they've converted their bitcoin to fiats at $2500. Many investors also converted their bitcoins the time it hit the $2500 last month, for them, the price may pump or dump, but I don't think that they will regret that action, it is a big profit for them, and the price reaching that high, is a dream for them, but that time, it is a reality.

People who did panic selling when the price reached $2000 recently are the one who don't understand the art of investment. Investment and trading both needs patience and logical reasoning. Bitcoin is attracting more and more people now. People are now showing faith in it after many countries trusting bitcoin. Earlier people used to think that bitcoin is a currency for illegal activities. But now that mentality is changing. Good days are ahead.  :D

Almost unbelievable. Feels bad I only got into this final quarter of last year and wasn't able to buy much coz even then it is quite expensive to buy in my currency. And now it's close to $3000!

I'd like to be happy though I don't have much in my wallet. I'm not so much worried about any plunges since I intend to hold anyway. I'm more concerned that it might become obsolete.

Yes and I see further growth until $5k within a year if we can find a viable and concrete solution for the issue of slow confirmation time and higher transaction fees. Many businesses are willing to give a try to the bitcoin but since it is not yet that much stable in terms of price as well as transaction costs, the firms are shifting to the wait and watch mode. $3K is not far ahead from this point, however we might face some fluctuations in the price until we reach that milestone.

Yeah this is the All time high. Don't think that people expected bitcoin to ever break that all time high after that recent drop in price which essentially pushed bitcoin back to $2000 from $2700. Many including me thought that this was it for this year, we're going to go full dumpster mode and price isn't gonig to go back up.

I dumped the majority of my coins then and sort of regret ever doing that.

However the dump will come eventually. It cannot sustain like this. Unless the transaction fee and confirmation times issue can be resolved through scaling, it won't happen.

Bitcoin is just starting its way to go to the top. Lets say bitcoin is only warming up before the one big day. And so far 3000$ price is still low ,speculators already said that bitcoin will reached $20k in 2020.

this is the long term rise that will always happen, there is no stopping that.

there will be a lot of drops, and a lot of downtime when people lose hope and think that is it, the end of bitcoin price rise, in the future but in long term bitcoin price will continue rising.

so far bitcoin is the most secure, the most recognized, the most fair, the most immutable, and the most decentralized cryptocurrency that you can find out there.
and despite many thinking any random altcoin can be a valid competition, you will not see anything remotely close to a competition for bitcoin in the foreseeable future.

I really hope they dont tumble like the last time after reaching an all time high, they recovered very quickly which was shocking in some ways. I have some bitcoins saved up and a drop will be disastrous for me.

Bitcoin is getting better and better, bitcoin has become a stronger coin, the rising now is very stable and a lot of country start to legalize bitcoin, with this popularity I believe in the end of the year it we will reach 3000$

IT is hard to believe that bitcoin will hit $20000 in 2020 but I do hope that it will come true and all of us will be millionaires. In fact, there are still many problems in bitcoin which are stopping  from becoming a greater currency. In the future, I am looking forward to seeing the hard fork happen and bitcoin will become greater once again

I strongly believe that in a months time we will see bitcoin ripping through 3k usd.

What interesting here is, the price is not crazy going just up rapidly. It was slowly and moderate yet with slight dump but overall the trend is increasing. It's not the same as $100 or more within just few hours or something like that. Looks like this a great start for another burst. But hopefully let the moderate price increase passed the $3,000 level before going on a burst again. $3,000 value as a starting line before going on a fast phase price increase will surely ended up to around $4,000 and then correction will happened afterwards disregarding the August event.

Just my wild speculation and feel free to argue.

It is indeed awesome, and we'll get to $3000 soon enough.  Probably a week.  Crazy, isn't it??

No offense, but what planet are you guys living on? 24h high on worldcoinindex is $2917 so it's only hours or days away from $3k. Of course it will take time to stabilize the price but by the end of the year we are looking at $4k-5k with that kind of growth.

Already some traders in localbitcoins exchange to giving out the 3000$ to sell out the bitcoin to them. I think with this month we can see the peak value again in the chart very soon.
Please do not sell out your bitcoin in this moment. You need to hold it for some time. You will be able to double the amount.

The price went down. It is unfortunate that this time bitcoin did not reach the price of $ 3,000. And if it reached some exchanges, it was not long. I think that the next price increase will be successful and bitcoin will be able to conquer a new peak

Doesn't hold much value for people here - what matters is when the major USD exchanges like Bitstamp, GDAX, Kraken, Bitfinex (yes, even that exchange), etc, start touching the $3000 level for the first time.

True Bitstamp, kraken (EUR), poloniex and gemini are market leaders if the average price there is over 3k, Other exchanges will follow. And yes the price is flirting with 3k.

Exactly, today bitcoin will break $ 3000 and i'm sure this increase will continue at least until end year. Bitcoin demonstrates its ability as the foremost digital currency.

Now she trades 2410 Dollars on the Kraken exchange. And that's why we all need to forget about high prices for a while. Now there will be a recovery path that can take several weeks

In Bitstamp it touched $2,980 per coin. But after 4-5 hours the crash started, and the prices declined by 15% to 20%. I don't know whether we should give any importance to the Bitfinex exchange rates. But it actually touched the $3,000 mark there. A peak of $3,003 per coin was achieved in Bitfinex a few hours ago, before crashing to well below $2,300. Now it is around $2,450 - $2,500 per coin.

It did not last a long time and now with ETH gaining traction I think Bitcoin purposes will be the stable crypto currency, while other crypto currencies will be the one with fluctuation.

Unless offcourse Bitcoin can make a strong move.

What we need right now is larger blocks to cope with the increased demand. I am sure that as soon as SegWit has been successfully activated through UASF, we'll blast through $3000 like it's nothing.

Every day more people are finding their way to Bitcoin, but they directly stumble over the higher fees, which is exactly why we more than ever need larger blocks. It's pure madness how miners have prevented SegWit from activating.
