Title: Should I sell?
Post by: DOGE12321 on June 06, 2017, 03:16:11 AM
Bitcoin price is soaring. Its price trajectory is extremely steep. I fear that the Bitcoin price bubbles is reaching its point of yield. What is mean is, that such steep ascents in anything are rarely sustainable. I am going to sell my coins fairly soon. What do you all think?

Actually, bitcoin price for me was a good thing happens to me. it was helping me a lot in terms of trading.
In fact, there nothing to fear at all because bitcoin is continuously in progress. So as much as we can hold it, lets hold it in a long term.

It all depends on what you think, there isn't anyone on here that can give you a quick rundown on what you should do without taking into account a ton of other variables that only you can see right now.
Personally I would be against it, but have some value in an exchange to exploit any market movements; down or up. You should be keep your positions relatively secure, but don't be afraid to risk some. That's what I am doing, that's not necessarily what you should be doing.

If you are selling with the intention of cashing out then I will tell you that is a big mistake. But if you are selling because you want to sell high then buy low then by all means do it.

I believe we are witnessing one of the greatest wealth generators in history. You should not miss it.

Bitcoin price is rising with extremely high speed. Some price corruption may happen and bitcoin price may fall a little but i don't think that bitcoin price will fall more.If you are going to sell, then you will regret for it.

why do you make multiple topics and why do you make them in a wrong board intentionally? you are a Sr. Member so you must know all price related questions belong to speculation not the main board!

and making multiple ones and calling this a bubble doesn't make it a bubble. and if you feel like it then sell, nothing others say should affect your decision.

I think you right, if the price of Bitcoin up to highest price (about 3000-4000$) we will have more difficult to sell it, because many people thinks it is a good price for take profit => All are take profit and panic seller everywhere, blockchain cannot confim .... ;D

Are you in dire need of your money then sell it, I don't see this as a bubble rather a bull run, I would say hold for the long term and reap the benefits other wise you shall regret it. As you might know Japan has accepted Bitcoins and now if some big Country accepts it then it will just soar up like anything. Then I do understand that it will be a risk to hold on to your coins but no risk no gain. Give it a deep thought before you make any kind of decision.

Correct, there is nothing to be afraid of on investing or holding our bitcoin because of its price volatility, which is changing everyday, sometimes its on the DUMP state, but mostly on the PUMP state, and this is the reason why I do trust bitcoin. I never doubt its capability on making me rich someday or to buy things that I want someday.

Bitcoin will keep on soaring and skyrocketing, that is why selling your bitcoin is your choice, if you do really want some money, then convert or sell some, but if you don't need money at all, then just hold your bitcoins.

If you think that blockchain will having difficulties on that time  when everyone i mean some of them will sell their bitcoin then dont sell yours, wait for the right time when everyone is done selling their bitcoin, but now dont sell it, you are just wasting the oppurtunity to get more profit when its value get higher. But thats right, panic seller everywhere when that time comes, blockchain will have again some difficulties in confirming transactions, but lets just see it when it comes.

I understand what you mean. At the moment, no, I am not in dire need of money. But let me ask you this question, have you ever seen anything that has had its price go up exponentially without a major setback? Perhaps Bitcoin can overcome this setback, but I want to be prepared for anything. I think I will sell half of my Bitcoin and hold the rest.

First ask yourself this question : How many countries has still not adopted Bitcoin and what will happen when they do? We have only seen a few countries like Japan & UK that has embraced Bitcoin and some countries like India and Russia has only recently started to accept Bitcoin. It is a bit premature to think that this is the highest price that we might reach, with this low adoption rate. ^smile^

You might just miss out on some really high profits, if you exit now.

The price of bitcoin is definitely sky-rocketing, but it also just dropped and it might again. If I were you, I would sell some of my bitcoin, but also keep enough so that if the price keeps rising you can make even more money.

you are correct, the fast rises like we saw last month are not sustainable and it didn't last. price fell down about $800 from the ATH in a process that we call correction and then recovered about $200 and became stable around $2100-$2200 for a while.

this rise is a new one and it is not yet even steep.

also rises like these are perfectly normal given the circumstances. i guess you missed the biggest news a couple of days ago! the largest Forex broker in the world added bitcoin do you even know how much volume that thing brought into bitcoin? Link (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1941988.0).

feel free to sell though, more cheap bitcoin for the rest of us. it is not like there is only a limited 21 million coins total and it is not like the population of the world is 100 times that number.

There are already enough threads about this. Bitcoin is going to go up quite a bit in the long run, even if there are fluctuations short term. It would hardly be an "investment" if you bought coins a few years ago.

i would not, best dump that can happen would make the price tanking to $2k, we see already that the value has a goodresistance there, beacuse there was a 30% dump already. and it held quite good at $2k

who know where is the peak for all we know could be 5k or maybe we are already heading to 10k, and again i don't think this is s bubble, some price correction at certain level are expected

i don't think this is a bubble because it's backed by real adoption, not like in 2013, which was fake manipulation

I suggest to you sir hold your bitcoin because I believe the price become $5000 before the end of this year 2017. But it depends to you what do you think is the best. Many people until today and maybe in few months still buying so the price is continously increasing. And many big investor will invest in bitcoin. I hope many people also hold their bitcoin so the price continously increasing.

If you need money in the next year or two - sure, take profit, you most certainly will have a chance to buy back lower than it is today.

Just don't sell all, as you never know how high it will go this run, and nobody does.

I think that you should hold your bitcoins now, because it's been rising of it's current price updates at the marketplace. So if you are holding it for several days until such time you see that there's a good profit to earn when you sell it, then do it. I don't  restrict what decisions is right for now but for me it's the best choice to do for these days and demand now rises and the effect is an expensive price. I see a good future of bitcoin to be a sustainable profit for all types of investments, so grab this opportunity while it's still present as now so that you can benefit this great skyrocket price.

Well it's all up to you whether to sell or not.
I guess you quite well know that crypto prices are totally unpredictable. Nobody really knows if this is a bubble or not.

Since I'm not the kind of long wait investors. I sold out yesterday the money I received from a signature campaign. Sadly today the price jumped to 2800

What I'm telling you is that it's all your opinion. I've seen people who bought at 500 and are still holding until now and refuse to buy. They believe that one day it'll have much more value than this.

DECIDE

Do not fear as the price of bitcoin will be better in the coming days and weeks and you will not lose your money in bitcoin but will get more benefit so do not sell now and wait for more longer until you get your expected profit from your invested bitcoins.

I personally would not sell my bitcoin anymore at least for two years i'm gonna hold them since i believe the price will skyrocket maybe around 6k dollars by the end of this year. You know what i regret deeply when i sold all of my bitcoins at cheap price, now i would not repeat the same mistake. Well i think it's all up on you but if you ask me whether to sell or hold, i recommend you to hold them. I'm trying to buy as much as i can for long term investment purpose of course.

If you are satisfied with the price then there is nothing wrong in selling some part of your bitcoins at this price and if you are looking to get even higher profits then better to hold your coins till the end of the year.

If you OP wants to sell now feel free to do so since the price is pretty high right now and if you need money right away now, don't hesitate to sell if you will gain profit if you sell now. If you don't need money right now and if you want to sell your bitcoin with higher price, better wait and hodl your whole balance because bitcoin still has a lot of potential to grow more and go up in the upcoming weeks.

Agreed, other than any desperate need don't try to sell as the price increase seems to continue for a longertime period with minor price fluctuations happening in between. As suggested its good to hold at least till the end or starting of the upcoming year as a price peaking is expected by that time.

never try to take high risk by selling your bitcoin.

Well if people are getting more enough profits for this current price well surely they would sell and nobody can stop them since its their very own decision on what is their target price before they release their behold token and people doing that is just securing their profits so that they will not lose their money and buy again if price go dump in some instance.

Well, if you are not ready for the risk, i think it's better to sell all your bitcoins, just play safe. In my opinion the price can increase up to $3000. The problem is the price is really unstable, the price can easily goes down. My advice is just play safe if you are not ready for that.

if you are just collecting bitcoin and getting it for free and you still have your day job better to save it for long term and never to look with the current value as many people mentioning here that bitcoin will keep its price to rise and there's no turning back so i suggest that it will much bigger in value if you will just save it and let all your bitcoin became your fortune in the next few years.

Agreed. There is probably no way that bitcoin is going to fall back under $2000. People holding bitcoin now and taking a very small risk relative to other altcoins like Ethereum which can go down by 50% imo in just a week.

There is really no limits though to how crazy the bitcoin price can go once the 1st august day comes and the community finally decides. It could go to $5000, and don't call me crazy because people thought bitcoin holders were crazy for saying that bitcoin would ever go back up to $1,000 again after that crash in 2013.

This 2000+ price is here to stay. Not going anywhere anytime soon.

It's really hard to say. I think the rise from Nov 2016 to Jan 2016 was pure speculation, which is why it crashed down when the Chinese news came through about exchanges being investigated.

This time feels a little different in that I think we have some genuinely new money and people coming into crypto. All the exchanges are under pressure trying to process and verify new accounts. New money generally means a higher price.

The only danger point I see going forward is this potential hard fork on August 1st. The exchanges haven't said how they'll handle it, so people might withdraw their coins (or sell them) rather than end up on the wrong fork and losing money. So if there is a crash it will be in the last two weeks of July.

At $2800 it is a good time to sell. If you were waiting for a long time for a big rise, now is the perfect time. But I think it's good to buy too. Because as you can see, the movement is almost at rest. I think it will become finally stable after a few weeks.

Except you already know the answer to the question you just asked, you are not going to get that answer here. Not even anywhere! This is because no one definitely knows the future of Bitcoin. Otherwise, there won't have been the $10,000 piazza story and those who saw the future from 2009 would've bought all there's to Bitcoin. We are all speculators. And speculation isn't accurate fact....

Yes, you should sell it as soon as possible, due to crash is coming within a week and your bitcoin will mean nothing, worthless thing on the network. Well, I have encourage you to sell all of your coins, hopefully you can make it and never regret in the future what you've did.

Oh do you think price would crash this week? How? I don't think your comments will not be true since if there's dump gonna happen im so sure that it is not big and well bounce again maybe higher, And it is proven for so many times that this up and down movement is really happening so I conclude that you want the bitcoins price go dump so that you could buy cheaper to earn more, Is That it?

No it surely wouldn't be a good thing to sell your coins at a price like this. I totally understand that you have a feeling that people are going to sell and the price is going to drop but if you noticed few hours ago the price did fall till 2750$ and even i thought it is right time to sell , but right after that the price climbed back quickly. It's better to wait as the price had gone stably while last time it was a 700$ increase overnight so that's why it made a difference.

Big dumps shouldn't make you or anyone else afraid. I honestly see big dumps as a welcome opportunity to enter the market at lower prices.

In current times it's all about accumulation, and thus these dumps greatly contribute towards that goal. Important is that you for yourself turn something negative (in this case the dumps), in something positive.

If you leave enough fiat aside, and use them at the time the price gets dumped down, you'll be able to average down your overall buying price, isn't that an ideal and positive situation? :)

I think that you should not say that bitcoin price bubble is reaching the point when it should go down, because you need to remember that actually it is not possible to tell when bitcoin will stop rising or just stop increasing its market cap- its just impossible.
Cryptocurrencies are so unpredictable that it makes such an analysis a little bit useless, I think that you should more look at your goals that you want to achieve with your trading, and then decide according to this data.
If you are already satisfied with the profit you can make on the current BTC price, then just sell it! But to be honest, I think that everything over 2000$ is already a great price, i think it will go below that in some time but it is already high if you look at the chart, so it is a good occasion for selling.

I always use this scheme. If you really really want to sell and fix profit but not sure if the moment is right, sell 40% and then sell 10 or 20% with every 5-10 percent growth.

Do you want to sell it? If yes then do do, if not then don't. No one can give you an accurate advice for that. And if somehow you listened to an advice about this matter and the outcome is unacceptable, are you going to blame that person? By all possibility, you should decide on your own. That is a decision that only you must make and accept whatever the outcome will be. Relying on others for your decision is a bad habit. Stand on your own feet.

Do what you want but I wouldn't suggest to sell now, there is no need. I'm speaking from my experience when in similar situation and under pressure and panic I misjudged the situation and sold the coins without any reason. Of course I realised that later.
The fear of big dump is always present by many people and it's true that you can't predict the situation but try to think rstionaly.
It might lead to deep regretting if we sell at current price levels. We should never be hurry for selling bitcoins, and the decisions for selling bitcoin must be taken after many technical analysis if we are concern about nor under go any regret after selling bitcoins. Still, definitely every bitcoiner will regret when bitcoin will be having some very massive prices after some year from selling bitcoins.

It is upto you that what research and analysis you have done on bitcoin and when you feel that the price is good to sell then dont listen others comment and just sell them, but if you want to benefit from the high price fluctuation then sell in parts on each rise and when ever you see good dump then buy back , so your coins will be same and you will taking the profit in between.

Feelings are a bad guide. Everything you do should be based on proper analysis of the market, plus you have to set yourself clear and realistic targets. Other than that, if you want to prevent yourself from missing out on a potential increase, it's better to just cash out a small portion of your coins. If the price happens to go up after that, you'll be having enough coins aside. If the price happens to tank, you'll be having some fiat aside to buy back at lower levels.

Dont sell.Just hold.Bitcoin journey has just begun.Yet it has more turning points to come.Bitcoin price is now around $2800.Soon it would reach $5000.So no wise person would sell bitcoins now.
every person has their own choice that either he should sell their bitcoin or wait. i will certainly like to wait, because there are more chances that the price of bitcoin will increase. and therefore i do not want to miss any chance, i will like to continue holding bitcoin tell its price cross 5000$. and i am sure that very soon we are going to cross 5000$ and not wait too much for that price.

Do not sell now as you are on mistake. You will regret because the price of bitcoin will increase more in the coming future. If you will be patience for a little more and you will hold your bitcoin for more longer then you will get a high profit from that income.

Guys, I think that today there is not even any reason to think about selling Bitcoin. The fact is that today we are on the verge of a grandiose bargaining price up. We risk losing more if I decide to sell crypto currency.

If that is what you want do it, no one can stop you but I prefer to play the long term game rather than to try to guess if bitcoin is going to go up or down.
