Post by: manc_guy on June 06, 2017, 11:53:54 AM
hi guys, I'm new to the bitcoin world and I am hoping I haven't missed the train. I sent my deposit to a uk exchange called coinfloor but I was just wondering has anyone else used there services, I sent some funds over on Thursday and still haven't seen a thing come onto my account. I posted on here as I'm worried and am hoping that someone could shed some light on the situation???

I requested to change my Bitcoin withdrawal address over 3 days ago, and still nothing. Pretty terrible considering how well regulated and allegedly professional they're claiming to be

Ive sent 3 emails over the last 5 days. Only automated acknowledgement received.

Kraken is imploding. Bitstamp are whoring for the authorities. Guess its time to try Bitfinex, but much rather use Coinfloor to change into GBP  :'(

An efficient and liquid decentralized exchange, would be really good to have, right now.

Still no response. Wonder how many unread mails are in their spam folder.   ::)   Although pathetic, this would be the best reason.
We shall see  :-\

I was looking at these guys a while ago and they did seem to be one of the only ones in the UK that seemed legit, customer service is a must for any company and to see the issues here is not good.

I contacted Mark Lamb through Telegram, in the end. Rather depressingly, he told me what every other exchange is saying....... "we are recruiting, so tickets can be answered quicker.....". I also got my original tickets answered, in full, at the same time.

In short that's really a bad support system which they do answer queries and tickets on a long period of time.I haven't any idea on coinfloor site but just like what others said here they are most likely legit but seeing on their support it will really give impact on their service. To op, just keep on sending tickets and if you like make it spam so that if they did already see the message they will prioritize you first :) Just a friendly suggestion and don't take it serious too much. I know the feeling of pending deposits.

I was happy enough with their response/s, to park some BTC @Coinfloor today, despite my reservations with their support system. Thing is, 'choice', is very limited while the exchanges adjust their systems to cope with the current demand. Im willing to give Coinfloor the benefit-of-doubt, at this time.
What i absolutely dont accept, are bullshitting amateurs like Kraken, who have a multitude of long standing problems that is taking years to resolve....i think its negligently criminal whats going on at Kraken.
So @carlfebz2, if you need a story to fill your news pages, please consider exposing their nonsense.

I joined Coinfloor 5 days ago.  Verification was fast. I has some questions for them.  They got back to me within 48 hours.  Going to do a test run and sell a small amount of BTC.

Hi

I just took my first foray into Bitcoin by buying some through Coinfloor. I liked the website and the exchange was recommended through the the bitcoin.org website.  The trader (londonlinktrader) disputed the transaction, and it went straight into dispute. He did communicate for a couple of days and now is not responding to messages.

It was a large amount of money, and after 6 days I have still heard nothing from coinfloor. (or recieved my bitcoin), Their website says that they will respond in 24 hours.
It's now starting to look like a scam to me. Has anyone else had dealings with Coinfloor (good or bad)

The amount of money sitting with them is certainly not enough for me to ignore, and I will obviously have to follow this up.

Any advice, contact details (phone number) or help / advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.

Keep your coins under the mattress (in your own wallets with private keys controlled by you and you alone).

Regulated or not, trusted or not, reputable or not, these exchangers are unpredictable. You send 5 BTC to your exchange wallet.. an hour later they invent and enforce a new withdrawal policy.. and you will be forced to beg and plead for your own coins. You will be ignored, humiliated, investigated, interrogated, questioned about everything from where you got those coins, your great-great-great grandfather's birthday, what you had for breakfast on 2 September 2014 (and if you happen to remember this, they will probe further about the exact time and place), where you were on the night of 9 May 2016 etc etc

Trade small amounts of coins on these exchanges. If they lock your account, it will hurt but at least not as much as when they leave you with just $5 on your debit card for food.

Update:

After a long wait for any response from support  (9 days /6 working days. ), the issue has now been resolved and I received my bitcoins.

I have mixed feelings about this, very happy that I eventually got the bitcoins, obviously unhappy about the customer service.

Admitedlly there were issues with my account, but this could and should have been resolved in a few minutes.

Anyway, just so anyone using Coinfloor is aware of the customer service problems should any issues arise.
