Don't underestimate Putin.
He is very influential in Balkan region (Serbia, Macedonia, Hungary), also former USSR republics in Asia, Syria, Latin America etc.
It's obvious that Trump likes Putin, his dictatorship style and authoritarianism.
He probably wants to be like him but can't :)

Like a Putin? Trump made billions as a bussinesman and become president of a most powerful country despite nonstop ridicule by media tycoons and mainstream party cronies. Why would he want to be a Putin? He already accomplished more than Putin did. By preservation in sea of corrupt sharks.

Trump really wants to be like Putin, but he was not smart enough. Putin is smarter. But what worries me is not what Trump wants to be a dictator, and the fact that it is very likely that Putin firmly holding his balls. To Trump to avoid impeachment he should avoid contact with the Russians, and he is doing the opposite. This is not a demonstration of power as someone thinks it's Putin his hurry to get dividends from his election.

It was true and I even heard it, Mr. Trump, who has negotiated numerous business deals with Russia, has never uttered a discouraging word about the former Communist KGB agent who runs the country with a dictatorial hand. In fact, he has frequently praised Vladimir Putin as a “strong leader” and a good friend who can be trusted.
But all thoughts are different from South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, Mr. Trump’s nominee to be ambassador to the United Nations, thinks of Mr. Putin. She says he is a criminal who cannot be trusted for a minute.

Am always wondering about this, is it really a bad idea for the USA to be allies with Russia, these are the world's super powers and think about what their combined efforts can accomplish,  IS IS and lots of these terrorist groups could easily be eliminated.  I think for the benefit of the entire world, peace between them should be achieved.

I cant imagine it. Tho trump  has a quite similar attitude to putin I still can remember how vladmir throw those words to the united states. But who am i to talk things around ahead lets just see if they could really be a good friends in the near future

A Russia-United States friendship will be excellent news for global peace. Both these nations can achieve a lot, if they work together. A small example is that of the International Space Station (ISS).

Trump would love to learn some good skills from Putin, as Putin handle Govt very well and also have controll over institutions.

Many adore Putin and want to be friends with him, but not all will succeed. Friendship between Russia and the United States will be wonderful news.
