Title: Atiflash 247
Post by: SVK on June 06, 2017, 06:22:46 PM
Hi all,

I have successfully flashed my GPU's with Atiwinflash BUT I didn't install Atikmdag 1.4.5 patcher.

Next day I wanted to play with BIOS a bit more but I'm unable to start Atiflash 247.
All I'm getting is "Error reading from ROM"

So, today I have done full system restore (Aomei backupper) installed new AMD driver 17.4.4 used CCleaner and and applied patch before tried to run Atiflash_247 again.

Again I'm getting  "Error reading from ROM"

Would someone be able to help me out please ?

Google is of no help unfortunately :(

Thank you for any suggestions :)

Are you running ATIWinFlash, or ATIFlash?  ATIFlash is command line only, so if you are just double-clicking on that, then it's probably throwing that error because you didn't supply the ROM name in the command line.  This is probably expected behavior.

You should run ATIWinFlash, and let us know if you are still having the same problem?

And try not to forget to start AtiWinFlash "as Administrator".

I'm having the same problem when running ATIWinflash.exe and yes I'm running it as Administrator.

Using a Sapphire PULSE RX 570 4GB.

When I run the command line version with the -i command it says "fail" in the test column.

Any idea what the problem could be?  The card is working fine and is the only GPU in the system and I did a BIOS backup with GPU-Z.

With GPU-Z - nice job, your backup may be useless.

Indeed, that's just asking for trouble.

@OP, you should save and flash with atiflash in command line.
