From my part, got an account at bittrex since what...2 years... I've been absent on that exchange for a really long while, but I must share something while theres a topic about it.

Since 2 weeks, I'm receiving emails that some people are able to log in into my account. I'm now at 3 or 4 times.

I've decided to put the 2fa on afterwhile.

Guess some hackers were able to access their databases or something, cant say.

For the people who are reading now, that hasnt 2fa on, I recommend you to do so, as soon as possible.

I'm also having the same problem with them my ticket was over 18 days , no reply I try to reached them through their slack channel they told me tickets take several weeks especial the low priority until yesterday they kick my ass out of their Slack.

I wish they would just let me withdraw from their site and move on with my life. They really got me angry and stressed yesterday. I have even uploaded my passport. Why do these exchanges not have support? I guess it's difficult to find people but if you are making that kind of money have a plan. I am going to wait another day and then keep on a posting run warning everyone to avoid these people. I'll try to be more understanding but jesus, they even banned me from the chat room for asking.

I've bought and sold more GBYTE than that on Bittrex and I've been fine.  There might be some other circumstances causing this situation.

Plus, 0.11 BTC is hardly a "large amount" for them to properly scam anyone for.

u have to write down the bittrex secret key to avoid a situation like u described..............also u should write down the backup codes for the authentificator

yes, I am not even verified been using them for years deposit/withdrawing up to 1BTC or more but no problems.

I don't know why they did this to your account, because i've been depositing way more than $1000 and withdrawing way more than that as well on a monthly basis, as well as occasionally storing more than $1k on their exchange. I have never experienced any hiccups with their service, definitely haven't gotten my funds held up once like yours either. They are a legit exchange, also probably the best exchange right now because poloniex has gone scam basically.

Since you already submitted your ID, you should be able to argue with their customer support to get your funds back. They have a good customer support, as long as you did everything right you should expect your BTC back.

If they are selectively scamming, they wouldn't do it on you. They would do it on someone with a balance of 100 BTC+.

Please before you report any issue of scam, let's know the exact thing you did which lead to this problem you are facing. Some people break site rules and if they know they are being published from their wrong doing, they launch a scam accusation here.

these days I don't trust any exchange even popular ones , after my last problem with poloniex I won't be surprised if every other exchange does the same and try to fool certain users while being ok with others

There is surely a confusion between both parties? Because I don't know wich company like Bittrex would start to scam people for a low amount. They don't have any  reason. I am not telling it is the case with the OP, but very often people open scam accusation on the web but don't tell to people the full story. Or sometimes a mistake happen within the site (it can happen to any) and people contact the helpdesk to get help, but 1) speak very rude 2) don't explain correctly /full 3) insult 4) writte in another language than english 5) or even sometimes forgot to click the "send" button lol

No issues for me other than slow support, which is true of all exchanges. I verify where I trade for the flexibility of arb'ing with larger amounts. I also pay taxes on every satoshi. Definitely use 2fa, and carry backup codes, but it only takes 24 hours to restore all authy tokens after a factory reset. I just did that a few weeks ago. Freeballing an account with thousands of hard earned dollars and no 2fa is just asking for it.

Hi together. I have to tell a Semilar Story. I'm Trading at bittrex Since a year a so and everything was  fine. Now i have lost my 2-fact app on my iphone, becuse i thougt, everything was Backupped by itunes. But It wasn't. I never wrote down the keys,  because i didn't know for what. My fault, Sure. I have opened a Ticket 10 days ago and explained Them my issue. I soon got an Automated answer, to send some Information to Them. I did so, Minutes Later. Since that, nothing happens. I'm loosing money, because i can't login anymore.
I wrote several Times, but without success. Did somebody has an Idea, whom i could contact for Help?

Exchangers should actively response to support tickets, if they don't want to land in scam accusations.  It is a nogo to keep money but not to care about customers. Even, if someone break rules, he should get back his money, because its not theirs.

I am going through this exact issue with Bittrex.  The amounts you deposited were under .1 ETH.  I was told by Bittrex support that anything under .1 gets stored in a hot wallet and  once I deposited a sum of .1 ETH or more then my ETH would be deposited.  I deposited 4.7 ETH and still the small amount locked up in the hot wallet is still there and not released to me.  On going for more than 30 days now.

Their support is worthless.

I have been in bittrex for a while now and I haven't got any problems with them. Maybe you are right that he isn't telling us the whole story. It's better to comply. Most people write about a site scamming them just to realise later that they didn't comply with their basic rules.

I don't think that a big exchange platform would scam any of its customer for only 0.11BTC unless he brokes the rules of the site. I use Bittrex since 2015 for daily trading and i have no issues at all without any personal verification. I agree that may have some problems contacting the support but it's may be due to large number of instant users and how noobs faces problems even when making a simple registration task.

I got thousands of dollars in bittrex for months now, and I've been withdrawing back and forth to my country exchange without any glitch. So I'm pretty sure they are legit. Their commission fee is 0.25% for each trade which is quite steep, so I'm sure they got shitload of money already just from the commission alone everyday. So I don't think they will scam people and lose potential hundred thousands of dollars from commission anyway  :-\

But all and all, they do have to double up on their support system and their software in general. Their functionalities are so damn limited which is too bad knowing they got all the money to make a better trading system.

Bittrex is a legit site, believe me  i have alot of trasactions in and out for a months and its all good.

Yes, Bittrex one of the Biggest exchange where daily many people are withdrawing and depositing into that exchange. Even I never faced any problem with Bittrex exchange. My Bitcoin and many other altcoins I am using it for daily trading too.

Bittrex has been known to provide a secure and smooth service, and their support team have been known to be helpful too.

This is a miracle that you were not scammed by a lot of money, ussually a lot of acounts with high volume are being closed without warnings, so i dont understand why yours with $40 in balance has been closed. I do not know. I am with them some time and they always worked fine for me. It is hard to believe that they wanted to scam such a small quantity. Perhaps they need your verification because your country has higher regulations or you changed your address.

What you showed is not the proof. Maybe they are incompetent or maybe not, but certainly that is not a scam proof.
In 1 they ask you to verify and they say you that your account is locked for 24h. That's what happens in 2 and 4. In 3 maybe you have a problem with your the local time of your device.

You can find horror stories about any exchange if you look hard enough. Bittrex is very popular and the majority of people, myself included, have had no issues with it. OP has been very unlucky by the sounds of things, but that doesn't mean the entire website is a scam.

Anything can happen but at the moment it I had to choose bittrex and other exchange sites, after thorough investigation, I would go with Bittrex. I'm sure bittrex isn't a scam website now.

I don't think they are scam . I have used their exchange for almost a year now and I have never had any kind of problem with them. I doubt that they will try to scam anybody for just 0.1 bitcoins. They earn way more than 0.1btc through their exchange fees daily , so there are no reason that they will scam you. Its more likely that your account got hacked and somebody withdrew your bitcoins...

Yes, me too. If I would have another choice of exchange platform that is better than Bittrex then I would go for it. Maybe in the future it would be better to trade in decentralized exchanges. I just recently read an anomaly involving them about the altcoin being dumped simultaneously in their exchange few days ago though they didn't claim that they are the one who did it. One thing for sure is that never to store your coins in an exchange if you don't trade it.

This thread has grown very long over the weekend with more complaints. Obviously something is up at bittrex. On social media it has gone crazy, either they have scammed or they are about to. It could also be that they are being shut down..

I lost the device where I had 2FA, I wrote Bittrex support, I was waiting for the 2FA cancellation week and the problem was resolved.

I just tried "enhanced verification". After uploading all images, it just says "There was an error processing your documents Please reload the page and submit your documents again. Sorry for the inconvenience." Of course reloading does nothing, like others already said.

Still not a single word from customer support.

It would interest you to know that I couldn't log into my account for several days. It was just recently that I successfully log into my account. And here is what happened:
I registered bittrex with my phone and traded there for sometime and later on, I moved from my destination to another place. This time, I tried to access my account with a laptop and i did everything possible but couldn't. Later on I used my old phone, reset password on the and same browser, and I was told to wait for a day or two to access my account. Yesterday i logged into my account successfully using my phone.
I tried using my laptop to log in and the same problem occurred again. So the issue might be as a result of using different devices to access the site And probably changing locations(IP)

Bittrex should find a way of solving this issue. It is becoming unbearable.

All of these centralized exchanges are investments. It is always a gamble. Most of them are in China. We cannot touch them. Keep your cryptocurrencies in cold storage if possible. All of them. Selecting the right exchanges is an investment so select only the best.

It's so easy to say that given numerous complaints, but this post is just 6 pages long after nearly 5 months.  Most of the posts are general responses or people stating they have never had any problems, so even 6 pages is misleading.  I'm not saying there isn't an issue.  They could be fine, or about to crumble.  Who ever knows in crypto land?.  All I'm saying is you've seen the volume there right?  If this sort of thing was systemic we'd be well over page 100.  Posting "scamming on the way' is an alarmist comment backed, relative to the seemingly large Bittrex userbase, a small number of one sided stories.  Is the OP giving the full account?

If you deposit a truly large amount of money without the required verification of course your account will be suspended.  It's like dumping thousands on a card.  Visa/Mastercard WILL check to make sure it's all kosher before letting you continue on. You say in point 5 "Their verification doesn't work".  So you only had basic verification before depositing this 'large sum'?  I'm not sure if you're large sum is 0.11BTC, cos that's far from large.  If that's it, what on earth would Bittrex want with your 0.11BTC?!  I did the math and they make about a USD1M a day on trading fees alone.  Then add in their cut of withdrawal fees. 0.11BTC... for real?

That sucks, and happens often in all sorts of unregulated markets.  If you got an answer and it's now resolved, not telling the people you've alarmed is bad form.

Not sure why you think you ought to be able to do all these things on a disabled account.  I do at least agree that you shouldn't be stuck in limbo.  Having said that, I'd think someone who put so much effort in to their scam alert post would hang around a bit longer than 1 day if things were still unresolved.

I'm not a Bittrex shill (though I would say that even if I was).  I've used them alongside numerous exchanges for the last 6 months or so and have traded/withdrawn/deposited a lot more than 0.11btc many times.  Enhanced verification was no hassle.  On the flip side, I was literally a mouse click away from sending thousands to BTC-e just days before they crashed and burned.  Though suspiciously elusive, they'd been in operation without issue longer than any crypto exchange.  I wasn't clear on a small piece of wording on my new banks online transfer form so I cancelled the deposit until I got around to clarifying.  Thank you Citibank for your crappy wire transfer form :).

I'm pretty much just saying do your own research, don't just immediately take a bitcointalk scam alert post as the truth.  It's hard not to.  We're wired to believe everything we're told.  Literally.  Then we use our learned knowledge to decide, in nanoseconds, whether we know or believe it to be true or not.  In the OP's case I believe there's more to it.

FYI, writing distracts me (usually pen/paper, but any port in a storm), and I needed distraction from the frustration of being AFK for the discovery of block 491,407.... because we ran out of butter.  I thought it wouldn't take long at the shop.  It did.

Account also disabled and stuck in verification hell.

Been stuck for two weeks now - uploaded a perfectly good passport and selfie, absolutely nothing wrong with either, then was stuck on a verification loop for a week. Multiple support requests, no response.

Finally, they fixed the bug and now it just says to contact support. Upload the selfie + passport again into the support ticket, Another week goes by, nothing.

2 weeks and these guys are fast to take your money, but getting it out is completely banned, and for what? it's my fucking money I deposited!

My credentials are perfect, but after complete radio silence this is just a perfect example of a very large exchange that doesn't have the will to give a fuck about its customers.

If I had a time machine i'd go back and never do business with these guys. And buy bitcoin at 3 cents ofc.

I know that enhanced verification isn't necessary to withdraw/deposit at most exchanges, including Bittrex, but why take the chance of problems?  You obviously had the required documents to get it done.  I know they use Jumio verification which is automated, so if you can't use that anymore you are at the mercy of human intervention.  

Just one thing to keep in mind.  Crypto has exploded.  I've noticed exchanges taking a LOT longer to verify.  2 weeks is far from unusual now.  It's still not good enough.  They're making more money with the boom so they can afford to hire enough support to respond in 48hrs at most.  Tether is by far the most hilarious.  Or sad... I prefer to see the funny side.  I was about 2300 in their queue ages proly 6 months ago.  I'd only move up like 2 or 3 places a day!  I had a bet with a friend whether it would go through before 2018.  I lost, they actually sent me the ok a few days ago.

I make it a hard rule to immediately verify to the highest (regular) level before depositing a thing.  I think quite a few of these situations would be avoided if everyone did that.  Not all, but surely some.  Even if you've truly done nothing wrong, something has triggered this and now your stuck trying to do something you could have done well before putting your hard earned money on the table.  Don't you think there's at least a chance you'd better off if you'd verified first?  Anyway, unless you've deposited so much money that an exchange which makes a million a day would be tempted to steal it, it's almost certainly an erroneous system trigger.  Not a ploy to take what is probably small fry to them.  Annoying, but not a scam.

Now I'm pretty much just writing/posting so I'm no longer a 'newbie'.  Only been a member for 2+ years :).  I am still moderately curious about these scam claims.  History's proven it absolutely does happen, but I'm just not sure it happens much on such a small, individual basis.  

I have traded with bittrex for quite some time now. And i think sometimes accounts are blocked for reasons afforementioned in their privacy policy (and updates).

A case in point is one owning multiple accounts and not disclosing them, and trading with himself using the different accounts.

True their support takes ages just like almost all exchanges, and this should be worked upon urgently as they make lots of money. No ones money should ever be held captive.

This is good advice, but in reality its not practical when you need to pick up a trade on something and don't have time to wait days/weeks to get verified before the price goes up.

When I created my account, even non-verified basic accounts could still withdraw. That changed 3 days after I joined. Interestingly, the newer your account the less you can withdraw. I can currently withdraw 0 BTC.

Regardless, doing enhanced verification was the very first thing I did. I'm not doing any shady, and using all my real info so why should I worry about being rejected or being stuck in hell? Bittrex is meant to be a reputable exchange. Through no fault of my own I was screwed by a policy change days after joining, along with a buggy verification process. They deserve to be called out until they improve their service.

Are you a share holder there? If not, so why in the hell you are covering their ass? It is not about segwit obviously. They have put their hands on people's deposits with false claims about verification policy. It is a multilayer scam that is accomplished indecently.

Given a site is suspicious about one's identity, it can just cut  access to the service instead of stealing his/her money! It is ridiculous and rude.   Bittrex is definitely a scam, no doubts, no arguments, just accept it and deal with it. They do their scam in a sophisticated manner: like a reptile, they crawl, they choose their victims then they hunt and hide behind their large user base and make excuses about the screams and complaints saying: "hey! it is just about less than a percent of our users, others are safe" for now(they mean). It is essentially based on a ponzi like scheme: collect thousands of users, choose ones who have little or no access to your jurisdiction authorities, rip them off and don't worry, new users are coming!

I understand, but can't agree.  No trade, whether it's rational or FOMO is more important than peace of mind, or whatever you like to call it.  There will always be another good trade.  That's just me though.  I know most are used to being given a limited deposit/withdrawal amount without much verification.  Unfortunately with the boom comes a lot more thieves, hackers, scammers, launderers, pressure from government/authority to verify, and so on.  Exchanges have clearly been upping the KYC/AML ante lately.  There's a hell of a lot more at stake for them right now than most care to consider.      

I definitely agree with you about crap support.  I just got on to IC Markets (Forex exchange) live support a few hours ago as I needed them to change my email address.  An hour later it was all sorted. ASIC regulation is famously tough and basically forces that sort of immediate action.  Lots of people don't want governments to get involved in crypto, and personally I'm no fan of them either, but answering to nobody?....

I have sent many tickets now but, they do reply. there is cryptos equivalent to 5 BTC in my account. and If they dont enable it in one weeks time, I am planning to file a lawsuit against them. we can all stick together and support each other to file a lawsuit, so that our voices can be heard.

Even bittrex.com scam or not, surely there is a lot of disabled accounts without any prior notification, and this  is illegal, at least send notification and let people withdraw their funds or verifying account.
They should explain why this happened and whose behind that..

BTC-e management was never prosecuted. They were invited for questioning, but since they payed 0 attention FBI seized domain name and servers of BTC-E (I still wonder how come they have hosted infrastructure in USA). Real BTC-E owners remains unknown and probably located somewhere in Russia. Since all server contents was encrypted WEX.nz (It's BTC-e in disuise) easily restored trading platform that now operates from singapore. They also received all digital (not FIAT though) assets (database, BTC and all) from it's predecessors. Wex sucessfuly continued to operate, however since they lost all Fiat of their customers they issued custom Wex tokens (IOUs of wex to repay debts of BTC-e). Now they keep on trading and slowly recovering from what happened seemingly out of reach from US government. They also implemented somwhat loose KYC/AML but it is still one of the best place to exit BTC into fiat without giving away too much of your privacy.

I have read and copied bittrex terms and conditions I have also made a video on all of their terms. so that if they change them in future, I would know that it has been manipulated and that's not what I have agreed upon while registration.
every body can has their own copy of the terms and you can also make a movie of your account and your coins your deposits and their tx and withdraws and tx. so that if they delete your account you have a document.
in their terms they have mentioned that they can terminate and disable an account without notice but they will return all his coins

Why would a multi million dollar company that is right around the corner of the largest financial revolution and growth seen of all time,  steal your lousy .1 btc.... It makes no sense for a company that makes ten of thousands of dollars in fees every hour, to just rip people off of small insignificant  amounts of money.

Further more, with the IRS and SEC now getting more and more involved in crypto they are looking at exchanges like Polo and Bittrex based in the USA even closer than ever before, These companies will start facing audits of not only business practices and policy but even there back end codes, and customer security that just how these things work.  They will eventually face the same regulations like Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase. 

I'm sorry but you have to face the fact that you more than likely did something wrong. (people make mistakes it happens) Be it send it to a wrong address, copy your wallet address incorrectly, clicking on a phishing link, or even as simple as having a compromised computer with virus or maleware that steal your coins. etc etc.

The staff at Bittrex has better things to do than take a break from running there site to steal you at the time 200 dollars in bitcoin when they make that almost instantly.

And as for the individuals complaining about how bittrex disable and locked out a number of accounts with out warning....Well please refer to my previous statement, federal agencies are closely monitoring crypto and bittrex went ahead and removed accounts that didn't have proper ID verification, or where located in countries that the banking industry deems "High Risk" Welcome to the end of the Wild West of crypto. While it sucks that this space will be getting regulated, I had a great time learning all about it and staking my positions and now over the next few years we will see real serious institutional money coming into crypto Bitcoin Eth Dash Monero etc etc

Why should people face these types of problems because they need to ask those before registering into Bittrex and after sending payment and making some money through trading. I don't see any problem with what trading scenarios I had with that site. Maybe I will check if I am having any trades in the future, and its quite too long period of time I do have transactions with this trading site as well. We should be careful in dealing with trading sites because if that's a legit incident that scam is really happening, well that really a big loss of money.

I deposit some bitcoin to Bittrex and want to get some eth for ICO, however, I found out that we could not withdraw anything without verification. and So I upload the documents they needed.
and I meet the Name Mismatch after substitution . And I contact their support and create a ticket. i opened an account back in august after they were recommended by someone who has traded a lot on there exchange and still does to this day without issue
i deposited about £200 and started to trade alt coins,i also transferred some of my own coins into there to trade.

im so confused as to what exactly is going on with them,i heard something about compliance investigations etc and that certain accounts are being looked at to make sure no laundering etc,i doubt whether my £200 deposit would alert the anti money laundering team but still im blocked with no light at the end of the tunnel

OK. I can relate to a lot of victims here and i have personally lost $84,000 (you are reading it correctly) worth of BTC in the month of August, 2017.
I have been going back and forth with their representing lawyer (Joseph Cutler of Perkins Coie LLP).

I strongly suggest that since we have so many victims of BITTREX scam we should reach out to CFPB (consumer financial protection bureau). This agency goes by volume irrespective of the monetary value.

THis is my second life as the first scam where i lost all the funds almost gave me a heart attack.

And all could get back from BITTREX is we are sorry that your funds were lost and they cannot protect against such hacking attacks.

If you're saying bittrex is a scam then i think Bitcoin will be a fraud too.

BITTREX is an exchange and BTC is currency. There is no comparison. The issues is that the trading platform is compromised or their code is and we are the victims.

I'm highly surprised with so many negative reviews, BITTREX has not been impacted in any way and they continue to scam their clients without any explanations.

I'm convinced that they know the issue very well and intentionally not doing anything as they are not regulated by the SEC.

I must say I'm less amused with Bittrex now. They (finally) limited my account, so I can only withdraw 0.025BTC (update after 3 days:) 0.000BTC per day. I've upgraded to Basic, and after filling out their form, they tell me I need to upgrade to Enhanced. I still don't have Basic verification now.
If they would have told me that instantly, I wouldn't have upgraded at all. Now they know who I am, and want an unedited picture of my ID (which my own government recommends me NOT to do!), and a selfie, which I don't feel comfortable doing.
Who knows what else they require after this. I don't like the fact that they don't give a full list, but slowly add more requirements after fulfilling the first requirements!

I think that the scam among the ICO projects has become common for many. Probably, it's time to get out of this for absolutely everyone. Perhaps the publication of audit reports should definitely help in this matter!

Basic verification not possible, as their third party verification company is US based.

I opened a support ticket over 21 days ago for manual verification. I got an automatic reply. Days later I opened a second new ticket. Now I got a real person reply saying: " and due to increased volume in tickets we are experiencing longer support times than usual".

Read the Bittrex twitter, google a bit, you will find dozens of people saying the same thing:

I have been properly screwed by Bittrex Well, they are holding my 0.6 BTC in altcoins and give no two fuck about my requests to let me get to BAsic registration and get the fuck out of there with my legit money. I use bittrex since a couple of months ago, Sampey recommended to me, maybe because i am an European citizen, and first i upgraded my account after that i put the money, maybe thats why i am not blocked, bittrex does have flaws when suddenly the network crashes when there are lots of buying and selling which made me lose big, the thing is that i never had the problems with the deposit or withdrawal. weird, they definitely have very low quality customer service

I used them to withdraw some bitcoin gold because they were listed with a good price on coinmarkcap.
I used them before and everything worked, they somehow just changed the withdraw limits completely.

I've only ever held coin in trex when I was activly ARBing, I'd just leave my balance there until I found a proitable way out, had a balance in many exchanges..
Arbing was great at the end of cryptsy and for a while thereafter.. topia yaarbatrage was great, I had nowhere to really comfortably trade when I lost cryptsy so I was arbing..

The 'problem' is that they are locking funds of users who have been trading there for years without warning. That borders if not equals theft.
Also, their online verification partner Jumio went bankrupt in 2016 and is owned by a co-founder of facebook. Their tos states they'll sell it all for the right profit.

Really friend 0.11BTC and a very small amount of somehow so the bittrex might want to steal. What happens and due to the skyrocketing price of btc has brought many new customers and all exchanges are not accounting for the volume the service is horrible.
With a little patience you should be able to get your bitcoins back.

I would get it if they - for whatever reason - want to block people from using their services. The right way to do this is to disable deposits, disable trading, and let users withdraw their funds.
What they're doing now is forcing people to get full-scale verification to be able to trade 100BTC ($1 million!) per day. They know that if they would allow users to withdraw, those users are gone forever. And they also know that users who are forced to send full verification up to crazy selfies, are more likely to use the service after they had to verify anyway.

It's very unethical to use people's own money to force them to do things they don't want to, and indeed, that comes very close to theft.
I'm curious to see if they actually get away with this, cause if they do, they steal a small fortune. Kinda like the Mt.Gox guy who gets almost a billion dollars profit out of going bankrupt.

If being able to withdraw my funds meant sending a selfie, I'd do it.  My issue is that I started a support ticket to find out what the next step is to verify my account but it's been 7 days and I still haven't received a reply.

The problem with this verification stuff is that the BASIC verify does not work, at least I've not seen a single person report being able to withdraw after submitting Basic information. I submitted mine a month back and the 'system' returned a msg about not being able to find me or some garbage. I've lived in the same house and have had the same phone number for a long time, I know damn well the info was correct. The only way to get your money back, as of right now at least, is to go through their full photo w/ ID process.

They should have allowed people who already had funds on the site a period of time to withdraw their coins before implementing these new rules.

Bittrex has blocked my account without previous notification. The verification they ask for is not working. I posted a ticket and got no response like many others...In the website they say it could take more than a week to verify my ID. This is totally unacceptable and so unprofessional. Please do not use this website it looks to me as this is A TOTAL SCUM. I will give them one week and a half and then take legal action to claim my money.

Remember they are not reliable and probably if you use their service you will put your coins at risk.

7 days isn't that long since there are some members who sent their IDs over a month ago , but still bittrex hasn't responded or paid them the money

It's important to inform everyone about bittrex actions as soon as possible. This situation remember me so much Cryptsy story... do you remember it? Lot of people where experiencing delays in withdawals from cryptsy exchange... then one day they simply disappeared.

If you still can withdraw your fund, do it as soon as possible.... before you get a 0 btc withdrawal limit, without notice.

I was never informed while putting the money in that I need to be verified to withdraw it. I'm not sure what they are playing at but here in UK this is illegal. It's up to them to make sure people entering legal agreement with them have access to all the info ( e.g. couple weeks back, there was a court case where guy successfully argued he didn't need to pay a parking fine, he parked illegally but he got away with it because the signs were not easily visible from where he parked). I'm a professional person, not some student using his pocket money to do a bit of trading. I'm really busy now until Christmas but if my issue is not resolved by then I'm starting a legal process.

Whenever you enable 2fa they give you a code in case something like that happens. So there is already a solution, you just didn't save the code. It doesn't matter whether you enable 2fa on bittrex or not though, they still wont let me withdraw, pathetic exchange.

I am basically in exactly the same situation as you, UK, mismatch on account verification (had no idea it would scrape it from basic verification which didn't include my middle names), been about 2 weeks (my support ticket was opened on nov 16th) but I got over 20k USD in there. Been a loyal customer of theirs since January 2014 and I'd never had any trouble with them until this. Shocking how they don't tweet out a public statement regarding the backlog, even knowing that they are actually working on it would ease a lot of nerves and help prevent people run away from the exchange like rats on a sinking ship. Another thing that would easily stop the backlog building up like others have suggested is allowing for the basic verification to be re-done and not allowing the registration of new accounts temporarily. The fact that they are not being transparent about it combined with what feel like intentional pitfalls in the verification process and the lack of ability to pull any funds all show that something fishy is going on here. I hope I am proven wrong and that members of the team come out and inform the public whats going on. Can someone with slack access please sit in slack and just report what the team are saying (if anything)?

Perhaps they have a backroom deal with authorities seeking to identify crypto currency holders and only release accounts when they get a clear from higher up.
Such collaboration would explain all the closed Iranian / Syrian accounts as these countries fall under the economic sanctions list.

I just posted a more lengthy account in another thread but in essence I am now stuck like many others here.

In summary:

Legacy account holder > 3 years without verification.
Last successful withdrawal of ~0.15 BTC was November 1st of this year.
Went to withdrawal remaining balance ~0.15 BTC today and got exceed limit message.
Tried to do basic verification and it said unable to verify.
They now want me to do enhanced verification, lol right.

Sad thing is this reminds me of Cryptsy just before they went under. People started reporting having withdrawal problems, they hid behind the KYC and AML laws while in reality they were exit scamming. History may not repeat exactly, but it often rhymes.

Keep in mind that their verifier third party Jumio is in the hands of a guy that co-started facebook. Their TOS states they'll sell their ID data to anyone for profit. Because of this, I'm never going to send these clowns my ID. For now, I'm viewing my stuck balance as casualty of war.

What you mean their ID data to anyone? Even if their TOS says that, it's still illegal to sell passports and other ID's. By the way it seems that they are actually verifying more accounts now, I've seen some people that got verified and bittrex support even apologized for it so I guess there is still hope. Bittrex is the worst case I have ever read about and experienced, they are sophisticated, they enjoy a large user base, they choose their victims based on a carefully designed policy, they pay to media to remain silent and they use the users stolen funds to run large pump and dump and other illegal activities in the market. They are rude and greedy.

None of these characteristics have anything to do with being  busy or not. Actually, pretending to be too busy to give people's deposits back is one of the many strategies Bittrex has followed from the first beginning and no offense when a person tries to wash Bittrex's ugly scammy face with such an excuse I have no choice other than becoming suspicious about the incentives and honesty.

i have a theory that they actually sold the bitcoins that we deposited into bittrex when bitcoins was ATH at 9-11k around october and made alot of money out of it, that is when the accounts were disabled and the withdrawal limit dropped to 0 for unverified accounts. when people want their bitcoin back, those scums realised that they didnt have enough bitcoins to give back to the rightful owners, hence they disable all withdrawals and pretending to require verification for all accounts while in actual fact they already sold our bitcoins, and in the meantime trying to raise as many bitcoins as they can through transaction fees charged in tradings in bittrex, they hope they can raise back the bitcoin amount to return it to us. this explains why the verification and enabling of account takes so slow, its not slow, but they just dont have the bitcoins to return to everyone, they know that by enabling all accounts now it will trigger a bank run and everyone will withdraw all the bitcoins out of bittrex, hence the slow process of verification for all users.

I also have a bitterx problem. So far, withdrawals have worked, but after a while the payout did not work. I had the Basic verification met. They wanted Enhanced Verification, I sent the necessary documents, but the verification failed. I sent a request to their recommendation at https://support.bittrex.com/. I've been waiting for 12 days. No response has been received so far to help me solve this problem.
I do not know what's going on with Bittrex. I have been registered for 3 years and I was satisfied with it. I'm a little skeptical now. I also have the BTC arrested on my account. I wait and see.

If 'truthfinder' background reports has any accuracy to it, last known public records occupation date for all three senior Bittrex staff was October 16th. Makes you wonder.

They also destroy you if you are from certain countries as they will only accept passport or drivers license. I have a friend that can't get verified because of that. He is Brazilian and they wont accept any other type of ID and it seems that almost no one has a passport there and only a small percentage of people own a drivers license. This is a scam, one way or the other, they are absolutely scamming people.

Don't fall for scams guys, if you really want the ticket to be seen faster you can use the 2fa ''trick''. You can send them another ticket but using ''disable 2fa'' and telling them you need your 2fa to be disabled. They will ask you for your balance, a few transaction ids and IP to disable your 2fa. You should give them all that + Id and Id+selfie+piece of paper with date and bittrex written on it.

but can't you simply disable 2FA on your settings page? why would they react on that in the support section?

The point is to make them answer you. You are ''tricking'' them into believing you can't access your account, this triggers their system and you will get an automated response. You can then respond to that ticket with your id and selfie and it seems that they will check it faster that way.

So hire some more support staff...  ::)

unfortunatelly i have to confirm everything what this guy said. They have recently stolen my cryptos in value of $2k and closed my account without any word. Little bit before I've just used their "Support center" and asked them, why I was allowed to anonymously deposit cryptos in value of $2k and I am not allowed to also anonymously withdraw them back (they have 0 BTC limit on withdraw for not verified users !!! - and when i submitted the basic verification info - name, birthday etc it says it's not enough that they want enhanced verification)

Result:

1) they didn't even bother to reply.
2) they marked the ticket (my question) as solved (even without reply)
3) they closed my account without a word.
4) thus they stolen my cryptos in value of $2k.

I am inviting all the scammed users to contact the lawyers / FBI / policy together...

Best bet is to still talk about it on social media, this is the only way to make them understand that they need to solve the problem. Their twitter account is like a fucking troll by the way.

Out of curiosity, did most people have their accounts locked or reset to 'new' only after they deposited a significant sum for the FIRST time, or did they deposit/withdraw large-ish sums repeatedly before randomly getting screwed?

My experience has been the latter. I've deposited and withdrawn large-ish amounts many times over the years with no trouble, and then randomly they decided to screw me when I deposited a much smaller amount recently. Weird.

I have read from more experienced guys in this forum warning people not to keep their coins in exchanges. They sure will have reasons for this decision. It should be used for exchange and not to store it.

Are you talking about USD? It seems that people get locked/disabled when they deposit usd, right? I personally have deposited a good sum of btc and other cryptos and I haven't been disabled, this was before trying to get verified, I never tried to deposit after that.

Never withdrawn in anything but BTC. Seems ok in trading that way.

No, I deposited alts, not USD. And, again, it was a smaller amount than I have deposited many times in the past. As soon as I did, my account went from the classic 1337 BTC Legacy limit (which really just means 1 BTC) to 0.025, and as soon as I actually tried to withdraw 0.025 (again in alts), it immediately went to 0.

Bittrex is doing a good job hidding the news, probably they're paying the news media to don't publish any bad new about Bittrex.

It does kind of look that way, they haven't made any statement anywhere about their problems and they seem to ban people on different channels that complain about it. There are only a few sites that did publish the news against bittrex.

Basic verification doesn't exist. They trick you into filling out personal info, deny that 'basic verification' they offer and thus extort you for your ID. That's downright scamming people.

I think they are just having growing pains, they were the perfect exchange until a load of people started shifting to bittrex from poloniex after they had similar issues.

I have yet to have any problems depositing or withdrawing sums up to 10 BTC at a time there.

If you don't have enhanced verification, your account wíll change into 'new' and your withdraw limit will be 0.

Hey everybody I think that one way to speed things up would be to get onto your bittrex support account and delete all but your original support ticket. If they aren't fu##ing everyone this will certainly help , if they are sending lots of tickets is neither helping you or bothering them in the least ...   


Tweet them over and over if you want to get out some frustration , but for now we might as well just spread this around because they have asked it be done and it is the only thing that can actually speed things up that is in our hands

Opening multiple support tickets: We have noticed that users are opening multiple tickets with regards to the same issue. While we understand that the delay can be frustrating, please do not open multiple tickets for the same issue as this will cause your support request to be delayed.

No but they do verify faster if you write them about 2fa so a live mod/admin talks to you. You can ask him for verification and in most cases you will get verified.

My account (3+ years old) was allowed to withdraw several bitcoins per day. Then, without any warnings I was disallowed to withdraw anything at all.
I received a warning only saying that I should be aware of that before making any deposits, so of course I didn't make any additional deposit.
However the coins I already had there beforehand were completely locked.

I've asked for the basic verification and it failed. I made every step for the full verification and I've waited more than 2 weeks but I'm still waiting.

A somewhat semi-professional service would have sent warnings before locking the coins, asking users to either verify or withdraw before the timeline. Also, considering how important verifying is under these conditions, any site earning so much should invest on some more people if too small staff is really the issue.

Anyway, now I just hope they're just really, really, really unprofessional and not a scam. In any case I'd recommend anyone to stay away from them.

They are but you should use the ''trick'' that I used. Open a ticket asking for 2fa removal and when the bot replies ask them to verify you as well, they usually do it pretty fast this way.

Any claim about Bittrex being too busy or not professional and alike is ridiculous and  suspected to be part of the most sophisticated scam plot ever in crypto ecosystem, named Bittrex. They are definitively a bunch of ruthless thieves who have invaded a young market and now are playing every single card left to buy time for milking last drops of their innocent users.

Victims should follow the class action suits and similar campaigns and be aware of false hopes about that they will eventually being 'verified' (WTF? 99% of the victims possess already enhanced verified accounts) and can withdraw their stolen funds.These are shameful lies, the funds have gone and the only way to get them back is prosecuting the thieves and putting them behind the bars, no arguments, no speculations, stick to the facts.

Yes, there is a huge problem when people that have no issues, at least yet, refuse to believe that their exchange is actually crap. Maybe not a full scam but still borderline scam. There are still plenty of people with millions stuck in there because they got their accounts disabled, and this has been going on for months. Also it seems that some coins are getting massive pumps with most of their volume (99.9%) on bittrex, is this just a coincidence or are they manipulating the market with all the stolen money?

Of course they do dirty games like pump and dump with stolen coins. It is not new, Bittrex has been committing this crime from the first beginning. They are infamous for this.

And you know what? I think the timing was not random, the scam happened coherent with btc price surge, almost at the same hours!

This is the story: They were gambling with users' deposits as they have used to, then btc went high and higher while they were pumping shitcons and this way they trapped in their fraud, people wanted their btcs, while there were no btc. So, they had no choice other than stealing a significant portion of their user base's deposits to compensate their lost.

They have bought some time this way but it didn't help, btc continued sky rocketing and their shitcoins did not performed good enough, now they are in the worst situation ever which has just one single resolution: They should go behind the bars for 5 years or so and they already know it, otherwise they would have released people's deposits, the thing is, they just can't! They are just a bunch of broke gamblers.

They maliciously changed their ToS without informing anyone, that's already a scam. They disabled accounts for no reason with no response, again a scam. They made everyone verify without any notice, again scam. If you want to make it mandatory for your users to verify to withdraw, don't let them deposit either before verifying, of course they don't care when you deposit money to their exchange, it's good for them.

I get it maybe peoples accounts have been frozen and such but I have used bittrex for 3.5 years and haven't had a single problem.

They have added countless coins based on customer demand.

When poloniex had massive problems due to the surge in customers during the spring they stepped up as a viable and secure alternative.

In my experience they have always been transparent about things. As long as your not breaking their rules I dont see why anyone would have a problem.

If your new to crypto understand that the exchanges now days are way more professional and transparent to regulators than ever before, be thankful you weren't trading back in 2013/2014 when people's money literally got stolen from them.

On a final note yall shouldnt be keeping alot of coin on exchanges anyway, only keep small amounts to trade with on there. If you keep alot on there you are asking for trouble anyways, always be in control of your private keys.

I don't know why it happen to you..I hope it will get resolve soon... I know that they have a min. deposit and if the min. is not reached, the money will disappeared.  But so far for me is been good trading in bittrex

Has anyone else noticed that Bittrex, LLC very quietly closed operations in Las Vegas, Nevada only to pop up as Bittrex, INC. in a DIFFERENT STATE (and DIFFERENT jurisdiction): Now they've SUDDENLY reappeared as the same (although different legal structure) in Bellevue, Washington.

ALL former complaints against the LLC are MAGICALLY INVALID due to Bittrex MOVING outside the regulatory agencies jurisdiction and changing legal status.  Hmm....

QUESTION:  If YOU owned the 3rd largest cryptocurrency-exchange and made such a RUSHED AND DRASTIC CHANGE  to new headquarters with a new legal identity, wouldn't you be SHOUTING your success from the rooftops?!  (Well... maybe not if your new address includes an APARTMENT number AND your new legal identity already has 129 COMPLAINTS within the FIRST WEEK at your new appartment headquarters.)

So yes, they are definitely either compromised or a scam all together. A few weeks ago, I transferred a small amount of BTC into their exchange for the purpose of buying NEO. A month later, still no NEO and do not have my BTC back because they changed all of the fee limits making it impossible to get my BTC back.

Yesterday, I called them to find out how to get the fee set to what it needed to be to allow me to move my BTC. The guy was very friendly, was trying to "help" me for over an hour. Said he needed to remote into my computer and change something with the server etc. So of course, I let him do it, the screen kept going blank on my side to where I could not see what he was doing. I'm waiting and waiting on him to be done with what he is doing and the line went dead. I tried to call back several times and the phone number is not reachable now.....

The OP was in a similar spot as many responses on this thread and after this post gained hundred of upvotes, the OP updated the post stating that Bittrex had unfroze his account. These guys are really fishy, and it's probably best to stay away from them, but maybe commenting on the reddit post will help chances of your case being seen. I have no clue how Bittrex is operating like this...

 I did have problems getting Verified on Bittrrex but that got resolved in 2 weeks. They did send out an email explaining the delay. But then I couldn't pull out some BTCs when I wanted them.

I have some advice to my fellow newbies..

Some of the posts here, however, are a little scary. We should all ensure that what we post here do not increase to the FUD going around.
For example, many people mentioned that their BTC transaction do not show up. But they eventually got it. I too had a similar case when I started. I too thought that it is lost or a scam. But the fact was that BTC transactions at a time of a heavy is VERY VERY slow. We should keep that in mind. If you have a transaction Id for your transaction, It can Always be tracked.

Secondly, DO NOT  give access to anyone on your computer. NO one can remote in and fix you problems for you. JUST don't do it. Ask them for instructions on what to do and you do it yourself to fix the problems. Support staff of crytocurrency related services have no business taking remote of your machines. There is nothing they have to do ON YOUR COMPUTER.   


Btw... I think Coinbase is a bigger problem :). They very conveniently lock out buy and sell when the prices are low. 
 

Have an account set to "new" after i tried to move some BTC from it. There are currently 4000$ trapped inside this account.

Its especially annoying since i just bought some ARK that of course are not staking in the wallet.

Now a days bittrex is also giving the same problems like poloniex and support people are not responding to people problems. So it makes people to think about negative but of they drag like this people will feel more negative about bittrex exchange.

I'm using poloniex without any issue. Poloniex never set my account to "new" locking my funds as bittrex did.

Poloniex is fair, bittrex is not.

Bittrex seems to be doing a full gox/cryptsy thing. My account of 2+ years suddenly got reset to "new" and they basically locked me out, since their basic verification doesn't work and there is no fucking way I'm sending them my dox. Luckily I only had some dust there.

Support people are just flat out lying and/or stalling, using KYC as an excuse and basically laughing at me - "are you gonna sue us for $30?" (not in those exact words but that's the gist of it).

I left neg trust for the few Bittrex accounts on this forum. If anyone knows of any others - let me know.

I logged in many months back and seen a msg about getting verified then closed it.
I had sent out a couple hundred in BTC to Localbitcoins ok though.
I now have about $37 worth in there i assume is stuck.. simply because the amount is too small to withdraw.

I met a guy named Ryan on Cryptsy IRC way back and he seemed legit but i don't know the others.
hard to say what is going on i think.. they keep the public in the dark yet have to work with AML law.

So you have your account disabled, right? I believe it's harder to get it enabled again than getting verified which you might need to do too. Personally what I did was the ''2FA trick''. I had a verification problem pending for like 3-4 weeks so I decided to try the trick. You have to open a new ticket with the subject of ''Disable 2FA'' and once they respond and you provide the required information for them to disable your 2fa you can ask them in the same ticket to enable your account again. If you are lucky and you get a good moderator you will get your account enabled again, if not you can always try again or try to ask them why your account got blocked. Hope this helps, if you have more questions feel free to pm me.

Yes, My account is disabled. "YOUR ACCOUNT CANNOT BE AUTOMATICALLY ENABLED AT THIS TIME" and it says "contact Support" which I did 50 days ago. I can log-in and see my wallet but I can't do any trade or withdraw. This happened when I was trying to do Enhance Verification after basic verification failed. I submitted ID picture but gave me the "name mismatch" error! I didn't use my US ID. Maybe that's why.

Well mine was working too but they answer faster on the 2fa subjects than verification/disabled accounts subjects. When you submit the 2fa ticket just try not to log in to the website afterwards. They will answer with:

f you need two-factor removed after troubleshooting please reply with the following information, the more details you can provide the better:

1) Recent ip addresses you have logged into site with (You can find this by visiting, https://www.google.com/#q=what+is+my+ip+address )
2) Recent transaction ids for any withdrawals and deposits you have made to Bittrex

You guys have a reason to be mad, but there's a higher level of bullshit going on.
You haven't been verified for over a month, but you still have your balance intact, and you will probably get it someday.
They have removed dozens of tokens, and set a limt of 14 days to withdraw a delisted token.
It takes over a month to verify your account.
They have essentialy stolen each token that's been delisted from us.

I got an e-mail after 5 days, noticed it right now[says 2 days ago], they said the picture was blurry, so I submitted my ID again.
There is unlikely hope, tokens have been delisted on Jan 1, so there's only 1-2 days to be verified and withdraw.

I think even if you provide personal information the way they want it. it will not make your problem solved. because it seems their intention is to steal and do scamming. it seems you should try to put pressure and threats to them like a legal act. that's also what I did some time ago when my deposit was not credited for a few days..

Except their verification process is horribly broken and instead of providing a reasonable solution they will simply lock the account for good. That is about as scammy as it gets. They know that most people won't go to the trouble of getting a new ID card or whatever is needed to pass the verification (if at all possible) so they can sweep up those small amounts.

If this was purely a KYC issue they would work to help their customers. This is not what's happening. Their support people are acting like assholes determined to piss you off and make it not worth bothering to regain access.

I don't know men they are one of the alternate coins I've invested upon seems like legit to me because first of all, I wouldn't consider putting my money on such risk if they were unreliable based on my study and research. As I said, I'm not defending them, they are extremely unprofessional and a horrible service in general but personally I got verified after a month, I withdrew everything and here I am. You can get verified as well, it just takes time.

They are not only unprofessional.... We can't call "horrible service" actions that killed bittrex reputation. Because this is what they did.... they distroyed their reputation. They where one of the main exchange on the market. How could anyone trust them again after this shit!?

For a comparison we can look on how poloniex treated this kyc requirement... First of all they declared that there will be an annuncement of a deadline for kyc, and even after the deadline customers will be able to withdrawal their funds without verification. This if fair and professional.

Ive been trading in bitreex for almost a year now and never encounter any scamlike issue. My biggest coin deposit even reach 0.5 btc and my acccount not disable. I have my 2fa enabled.

My account has been verified.
I got a response after 6 days, after which I submitted new info and 2 days later my account was verified.
I have placed a withdrawal request for my TIME tokens (the last day I believe, they've been delisted on the 1st, and it's the 14th today [you're able to withdraw delisted tokens only for 14 days]).

I understand your point. I'm not defending them whatsoever, they are garbage. I'm just saying that they can't be called scam as we usually know the word scam. They are, in some way, scamming but with a more sophisticated way. Nonetheless I don't think they are spending the money that's stuck in there because disabled/unverified accounts can become verified/enabled again.

I think the bigger worry is that the money might be already gone (hack or embezzlement or whatever) and Bittrex is trying to restrict withdrawals to remain solvent, like Cryptsy did. There is no plausible reason to do what they're doing if the intent was purely KYC. Too many red flags, including the way their customer service is lying point blank.

Bittrex support asked me for submitting US passport and bill utility for an enhance verification. I would add my account is DISABLED for TWO months now!  they closed my tickets and kept the only one. I submitted the document but 24 hours and nothing. I know some people saying they are a scam and don't send your ID but what would you do if you have your coins stuck there!! try whatever possible way. I have submitted all the documents including the passport before. DOn't get it !!

But they have verified a lot of accounts, eventually. I don't know how many tickets they have right now but certainly less than before. They have verified accounts with quite a lot of money too, I don't think they are already gone but time will tell.

I did send 0.1 ether like 7 months ago, to test their services, it was my first time over there and the coins never showed up in my wallet. After a month of tickets opening an reopening and blablabla from their support, I decided to let it go and gave them up as a loss.

Now we have issues with BitFinex and Theter, Cex.io with their assets in Afganistan and not paying withdraws of over 34,000, BitConnect, another post where a guy is waiting for his coins for over a month on Yobit platform, CoinBase with their BtcTrach and with their withdraw problems, South-Korea and China politicians at the top-level of scamming, McAfee pumping shitcoins on Twitter and promoting fake ICO's like no one was watching, newbies crying towards governmental institution, Reddit with their suicide-preventing posts, and I could go on like this but I don't have the energy to do so...

The only way out I've found for the moment is LocalBitcoins, and where I only do business is in person with not too much coins because we never know who is on the other side and what their intentions are.

The crypto world is doomed and the only one making profit are all those scammers. But hey, it will be regulated soon... I don't think so, the only future I think this has, is that it is all going to get banned!

I have coins held ransom there for almost 6 months. With an enhanced account and previously enabled they took away and disabled my account when I went to reset my 2FA due to losing a phone. Now they do not accept my picture/id that I send in with drivers license, passport, state ID I just get back a generic form email. Very frustrating!!

I completely agree with you. Nobody should trust bittrex anymore. My withdrawal are still locked, but for bittrex i can continue to deposit even without kyc verification, loosing then my funds.

One day they may decide to force a new "super verification" that no one can complete. Who could know after what they did!?

In my opinion, they should reply to a support ticket in 2-5 days MAX. When you are waiting like 4-8 weeks it makes you desperate. Then finally, out of nowhere, a Bittrex email. The lack of communication was the worst part and a customer must always feel cared.

Guys, consider that the last months have seen an exponential growth of crypto new users. All exchanges have "closed" their doors to new registrations because they could not handle the HUGE traffic and number of users: this happened in Bitstamp, Cryptopia, Bittrex, Binance...

So maybe you just need to be patient. It hurts. But be patient. You can't do other thing.

I have been dealing with Bittrex for 6 months now.  I have transferred coin in and out. I have traded to get enough coin for my Zencash node.  Not a single problem.

But, I have not tried any of your specific issues.  I don't think they are a scam.  They can surely have poor customer support.  They might even hire idiots to run there support program (growing pains).  And with large amounts, they have to comply with government regulations.

Amused to find this. I am trading on Bittrex for 4 years and so far so good. Are you verified customer? Did you contact support? I know they are very strict to  some immorality of users ( like taking part in pumping groups) but I never expected they would empty user's account. I would advice you to go to their slack group and raise up the issue there. It may help.

I'm not an immoral user for example, i didn't take part in a pumping group or other strange things, but bittrex was very very unfair with me.

My withdrawals are still locked at 0 btc daily limit, but my deposits are still full functional... so i can deposit there as much as i want loosing then my funds. Is that fair!?

They put BTG wallet in maintenance 10 days ago, making tons of deposits inaccessible. They are lying that they need feedback from developers. (Meantime, other exchanges fixed BTG issues in days.)
And Bittrex's support is unable to help, actually they have no willingness to solve the issue.
(And they are forcibly closing the support tickets without any meaningful work.)

I made a deposit of aprox 10K USD in crypto and because of their technical problems the deposit didn't get credited as usual.

Now they tell me that they have to manually check it and that it could take a month or more and this if it finally gets credited, maybe I "lose" my coins, they don't assure me that it will be credited even having blockchain tx id proof.WTF

Really I kind of find it hard to believe what people are saying bittrex is a USA based exchange if they were commiting fraud and stealing money they may get away with it in the short term but long term this is america nobody gets away with that type of thing on that scale and that in the open for too long. They got my $30 - what am I gonna do? Support stopped responding after a while and the only other venues of communication are: an address of the shelf company they hide behind, or their law firm. It's not worth doing anything, even in a small claims court. And I was one of the suckers to actually submit KYC docs. Most people wouldn't even do that and just forfeit small balances. So yes, they can get away with this shit for a long time.

Even folks having problems with $10k would have a hard time in court. Try explaining a TX ID to a judge.

hmm interesting yea I had my issues similar to this with hitbtc but eventually did get my coins but just to be on the safeside I moved my coins off of bittrex. But in the short time I've been in crypto I've never had an issue with bittrex.

It is weird to read all these unresolved issues with Bittrex. I also have an account there for few years already and so far so good. I tried a separate account before and both accounts were locked. But after I submitted all the proofs and legalities I was able to access my account few weeks later.

Bittrex is one of the most trusted bitcoin exchange platform and I have been using it for a while now.  The problem could have been from the tech. dept.  If you have not been unable to resolve the issue by now nor contact any of the admin, you should talk to @pablowhale - telegram handle.  He's an insider an has helped me once on a related issue.  Thank me later

I deposited SYNX into bittrex to dump.
Deposit never showed up, never replied to my ticket...
It's been like 4 months

Also want to add. My account is over 5 years old and verified.
I sent like $10 of SYNX to test. And nothing.

Luckily I don't keep any coins on my exchange. I have at most 1 Monero on Bittrex.

I'd been with Bittrex for many years and still haven't faced any problems at all. I am also verified with unlimited withdrawal limits. But volume is getting lower compared to those like Binance. but I haven't heard Bittrex having hacking issues compared to other exchanges too.

they stole my coins and lied to me so i'll be happy when they are gone.  ::)  ~they used to be halfway legit even though they listed/dumped alot of their own insider coins...meh~

Seems this is true. They offered to people SCAM IEO (RAID). And only after information was published in mass-media they canceled this IEO.

Oh, really! I am using bittrex since 2017 still now I have not faced any problem. And I think it is one of the most trusted exchange site in crypto world.
