Hello fellow Crypto friends!

Allow me to humbly announce Cryptocables! I specialize in a small shop dedicated to cryptocurrencies based out of Orange County, California.

A bit about myself:

I have been in Customer Service for over 10 years, and love all aspects of cryptocurrency ever since I found out about Bitcoins 2 years ago. I have been with multiple companies over the past 10 years including, but not limited to Apple Inc. and Amazon.com Inc. working very high tiers. Over the years I have always been taught to under promise, and over deliver. Why Cryptocables?

All of my cables are mostly shipped the same day and arrive quickly (First Class: 3-5 Days, Priority 2-3 Days, in the US)
All of my cables are in static free bags, and shipped in bubble fun envelopes to secure your package
All of my cables include a molex on them, no need to pay extra for that any longer
I will exchange any cables if you have any issues with them for free
I offer competitive pricing, including, but not limited to international shipments around the globe.
Free Pop-Rocks candy is included with every order (while supplies last) :)
Powered risers support the following circuits: A(1,2,3) B(2,3)

Just ordered 4 of the x16 -> x16 powered pci-e risers and 1 of the x1 -> x16. It's about time there was someone selling powered pcie riser cables!

$12 each and $8 international shipping to the UK (very reasonable shipping cost!)

Thanks!

Bought a few cables from the site last Wednesday.  There was a slight mix-up and only 2 of my cables where shipped on time.  However, they promptly fixed the situation and now I have all the cables I ordered ;D

Great customer service, good prices, and fast shipping.  I'll definitely be buying from them again.

Good Idea:
I bought 2 16x-16x and 1 1x-16x, arrived within 3 days of ordering, packaging was solid! Cables are made of high quality material and are sturdy, not flimsy like some others I have ordered.

Bad Idea:
I took the pop rocks with coca-cola, I highly do not recommend doing this.....

To add to this, I am ordering 1 more of each because I am so happy with the quality, price and speed of delivery.

Hi guys!

5/12/2013 Update!

The pop rocks have been a hit, and we have a new packaging bonus on the way!

Remember those flying glider things as kid? Well, Cryptocables now has a whole bunch of these, and every order will now include either a candy package of Pop Rocks, or a glider kit!

The packing is purely random, so there is no guarantee for one bonus over the other ^^; Which one will you get?

Additionally, you can now find Cryptocables on twitter @: http://www.twitter.com/Cryptocables . Please excuse our dust, while this gets set up!

For my existing customers, if you have any feedback, please leave some here!
For potential new customers, please email me, PM me, twitter me, or #freenode me if you have any questions!

Thanks!

Glad they got there safely! If you re-order, just let me know and remind me that you have 2 kids so I can send 2 packs, one for each of them (and a glider for the parent :D). A couple orders until the 27th of May, may not include any Pop rocks or Gliders until I restock them. They're super popular!

Normal pricing is usually around $12 but we are highly reconsidering lowering it as we feel it's a bit too high at that price.

ok got a technical question here. So just started playing with the 16x to 16x pci-e extenders I rcvd from CryptoCables and went from 770/khs to a 70 khs on my 7970? I went into cgminer and am showing the voltage at a much lower then what it was now being around .8 V and engine/mem clock is around a 100/500 default and will not let me change any of those settings? Noob when it comes to working with extenders so am I missing something here?

Thanks for the help!

*edit* all working now and not sure what I did differently. Just unplugged everything and replugged and now working like a dream!

I'm thinking of purchasing a few extenders from you. However first I'd like to put on a slightly technical question out there. I read on a different thread that some motherboards require shorting of the pins on these extenders when using the 1x to 16x kind, otherwise the mobo will not detect the card. From the gist of the thread it seems this is due to the design of the extenders themselves - something to do with a pin that should not be there due to it messing the hotswap capability of PCIe.

So my question is, has anyone had any issues with the 1x to 16x extenders on their motherboard. Have you had to try any funky tricks like shorting pins on the extenders themselves to get the card to be recognized (once again when using JUST the 1x to 16x).

This is a really broad question since all boards are different and everyone will have a different result. Most likely won't know until you get everything and see if your board is finicky with it or not.

Yeah but the thing is it's not the board that's the problem for the most part. From the way I understood things it has to do with the design of the PCIe extender. Well, actually it could be that some cheaper or lower quality boards do not support the swapping functionality or whatever the case may be and thus there is no problem. What's worrying is that a lot of the quality boards one would reasonably consider for a mining rig do have this problem with these 1x to 16x extenders.

But without some uber geek on the thread to shine the light I guess I'd have to buy and find out.

To add to this, this problem tends to be bundled with more than 1 video cards also not being recognized by the system once its plugged in with a riser, but will be recognized when a monitor is attached to them. When this is a guaranteed result, it is always the board that tends to be handicapped and wants a dummy plug from what I've found over the years. Not really related, but just sharing information.

You can use a 16x in a 16x slot or a 1x in a 16x slot, dual functionality!

Why are they so expensive now? I went to buy another one earlier, but I'm not going to fork over $25 for a riser... Not unless it's a really long one. I was disappointed, as last time it shipped out fast and without a problem.

EDIT: I have already bought a couple more. Time was/is of the essence here.

Hi WG, we adjust our prices to market prices for supply and demand. Risers are just a hot and rare commodity right now. When things cool off later they will go back down again.

I would contact your postal system. It could be held up in customs. This is pretty common to see with countries that don't have a global supportive mail tracking system.

International first class and small flat rate priority shipping often does not have tracking once it leaves the USA. It will not have a scan showing it left the USA either. The only guarantee for tracking internationally is USPS Express International, or EMS.

Also, there is a small list of countries that supposedly have tracking available for first class int'l and small FR priority packages. Not sure what they are though. I'm sure googling it will turn up a result. It should be understood before conducting a trade if the shipping service is at the buyers risk, or if the seller will offer compensation, though in that scenario, the seller won't know if the buyer is lying or not. Thats why I highly recommended Express shipping internationally since it protects both me and the buyer, and priority or first class is entirely at the buyers risk.

I always have the option of First Class or Priority/Express on my checkout page. When people choose a shipping option, I'm under the impression that they did research and didn't choose blindly. The crypto community is not that derpy. There are plenty FAQ out there with Shipping options and details in regards to shipments. So yeah, a lot of people can't be lazy and need to do some research before picking what service they want in regards to shipping. ^_^

Thanks for chiming in and reporting a more detailed explanation of the issue! Got to it before me. Hehe. <3 Ya.

Yeah just what i told you on my messages, the customs in my country is very crappy and they suck big time. Do you also ship items via FedEx? Maybe after this one i'd rather pay extra for fedex international priority mail than waiting for a month to get my item. I think fedex will do it door to door.

It was indeed an issue on our local post office. I just received a memo today that i have a package to pick up and written on it that it was already the SECOND notice. Our local post office and customs really suck bigtime.

Yup, I always tell people to go check with the PO carrier if theres an issue. There's literally nothing I can do once it ships out and leaves my hand. People are just lazy though. Thanks for taking the time to reach out to them. On a side note, I recently had an issue with an APO address and it turns out the guy was just super lazy to go ask. So, props to you for productivity! Wewt!

Ok i am running a mining rig with 3x r9 280x on a msi z87 g65 gaming edition motherboard but the temps are a bit high ( 78c, 88c, 90c) so i decided to buy some risers to make proper spacing between them. I bought 3pcs 16x to 16x pcie powered risers. Do i need to attach all molex to my psu ( 1250w zalman 80+ platinum) or can i just not use the molex?

The r9 280x's run really hot compared to the old school 7950 brigades, I highly recommend attaching the molex!

alright! thanks! btw, i just got the package and the packaging was really good. i'll be creating my custom rig now and will give feedback about quality of risers later. And about the delivery timeframe, it shows on their records that my package came in the PO last 01-14-14 and only today i was notified by them. that was a fast shipping from your country to Philippines. thanks!

i just tried 3 of them. on the first attempt i got a blue screen error and computer restarted. then 2nd attemp 2 cards are working but the GPU at the bottom cant be recognized. my MoBo is MSI z87 G65 gaming edition. it has 7 PCI-E slots and the card with riser at PCI-E7 cant be seen.

Edit: i tried to use the 1x riser and install it in pcie6 but still cant be seen and pc restarted and wont boot. Same with pcie7. I move the gpu to other slots and all cards are working on pcie 2 and pcie 5 (16x) and pcie 4 (1x). I dunno what happened to my slot 6 and 7. Got any idea?

Depending on your board you may need to short your slots to get them to show up. Tutorials are available somewhere on this site. It's also possible that your slots are faulty on your board. Really depends. Everyone has a different setup and can have something wrong, so all I can suggest is to try troubleshooting!

1-16x Riser prices have now been reduced to be more on par with the steady demand rate.
Thank you for all of your support during the craziness.

If you're still going nuts looking for 16x-16x cables, please remember you can put a 1x-16x cable in a 16x slot. Some boards may require shorting, but it will have no damage effect on your board.

Just out of curiosity, is there any way to know what boards need their x16 slots shorted for the x1 risers, without actually testing with risers? Some list or maybe from BIOS somehow? Hope to get testing soon thou, just ordered a 4pack. ;)

Any user experiences on how long the actual posting takes to Nordic countries after the package has been sent? I'm mining from Finland.

Unfortunately not. There's too many boards out there to individually test them all out, plus new ones coming out every couple of weeks.

Guessed so, but no biggie. Testing it isn't bad, I just like to be as prepared for installations beforehand as/if possible.
And I'll be reporting when the goodies arrive so people living here on the far edge of the world can get some kind of clue about what to expect on delivery times.

Paid with bitpay and that traveled across the globe in about 5sec. Wish the postal service would move the risers as fast, lol. All in all, smooth service so far. :)

A++ service, everything went way more swift than I expected! :o
I made the order on last weeks Monday (3.2.) and the package arrived to Finnish customs at Thursday (6.2.), but due to our customs slacking off and the weekend vacations after that, I got them from there today.
But still Incredibly fast considering the distances.

Thank you for keeping me off those shady amazon and eBay vendors. Surely recommending.  8)

All neon sign orders have been shipped. Tracking numbers sent to customers emails during the delay have reflected this change and have been making steady progress through the system.
