Title: Before a potential bitcoin split...
Post by: Chloroplaste on June 07, 2017, 05:44:37 PM
... People would run to fiat or to altcoins ?

And if altcoin it is, which one would be the less likely to drop along with BTC ?

ETH no question about it. I think bitcoin enthusiast has been investing into ETH before even any potential split emerged (UASF). They move to ETH because of the high transaction fees incurred, and of course for online gaming. But since their is a potential split come Aug. 2, btc lover is making the move big time that is why you are seeing the price of ETH increasing and reaching new ATH.

So you think, ETH price won't suffer from a BTC split ?
Don't you think we can expect a massive fiat cash out by the end of July just based on FUD ?

Agreed. ETH and SC could be where all the BTC holders will go, mainly ETH in my opinion. It still has a lot of announcements lined up. ETH is a safe bet.

well i think if value wont go fall that much its better to place it inside alts and wait for the rise back its the best way as well to grow btc instead of
exchange it to fiat and buy back your btc its possible to be more expensive.

Tether as a good choice for you but i dont think if the bitcoin gets splitting in the future. Do you mean the segwit agreement same with the uasf activation for bitcoin. It looks bad in my opinion. Uasf will be splitting the blockchain of bitcoin. Etc 2.0

Don't you also think that the coin that are only tradable through Bitcoin will suffer instead of those you can buy with ETH or other fiat related crypto ?

BTC won't split, at least one of those if such thing happen will not have a future and we all know which is it failure from the start, to forget this scenario.  In worst case we will have same amount of BTCs in both of wallets, which is not so bad. This can only be good for few project such as ETH, Stratis..and other well established coins.

If there is going to be a split in bitcoin network? In my opinion others coins will Suffer the most. Bitcoin is currently serving as a gold standard for others coins and as either positive or negative activities from bitcoin affect all altcoins

BTC should be protected, it is a backboned for Cryptocurrencies.
If BTC rising then people will be interested but the rising nowdays are too much,... slow down please. I have lots of BTC but I am too scared about current condition.

After this amazing surge then we ll have split,.... do you care about BTC? It is a main crypto to cryptocurrencies.
Not ready yet for other altcoins now to replace BTC.

Do you plan to still hold BTC by 1st august, or trade them days before in fiat or alt just in case ?

Some will say it's safer other that you will miss the potential big pump after this date...
