I still support MtGox, they do a pretty good job most of the time:

1) The first round of attacks happened on a weekend when BTC was ~$3.50/USD. They quickly got better hosting and had a great deal of up-time.

2) Today's "compromised account" does not mean your account is in danger; The person holding 500,000 BTC could have had a weak password or (much more likely) a serious virus/keylogger on their PC.

3) Their charts are great and it's really fun for day-trading.

4) They are still the #1 exchange and clearly the best place for a trading experience, IMO.*

*The problem with sometimes not being able to place orders is serious and needs to be fixed.

"We do a pretty good job, most of the time."

Sounds like the perfect advertisement for any financial institution.  I'll take my money elsewhere, thanks.

You DO realize this wasn't their first hacking?  Rapidshare currently has a dump of pretty much every single Mt Gox account:

Good for you, they are still the best exchange, IMO.
